The staff were super helpful,they replaced my towel everyday. It was all very organised and I felt safe the whole time. It is well located:not far from city centre or airport,many bars and shops around it. A supermarket near it too. A nice view of the road. Rooms and beds are spacious.

However,a strange smell came from the toilet which was unpleasant,I was fast whenever I used it because of this. It would really help if this could get fixed. Also the curtain separating me from the window was not very clean. It would also help if the room itself had a bin,not just the toilet.

Location and the amenities honestly. The price is quite good really :) Pretty straightforward to find The restaurants outside had friendly staff and good food. There’s a hospital 13 minutes walk from the hostel perfect for anyone in need for a check up. The bathrooms are pretty big plus clean and AC works just fine. The internet is fast too The staff is pretty understanding, thorough, chill and communicative.

Check in time is 16:30 a little inconveniencing but there so many rooms to clean, it makes sense. Unfortunately there’s no locker for the luggage in case you need to go somewhere :(

I think Residencial João XXI deserves a better score than it has (that's why I rated 10). For the price and location, it's definitely great. I've been staying at this place since 2021, mostly because of the price. The place has changed quite a lot since I first stayed there, and everyone is very nice and available to help. The wifi is 100% great on all floors and rooms, which works great for a digital nomad as me.

The rooms could have more amenities, such as a kettle to warm up water and complementary water, cups, etc. and the rooms have very thin walls (it's not for people who are sleep-sensitive). It works perfectly for the price, but I hope it keeps improving.

Room was neat. Great cleaning staff but the receptionist was a bit rude but it could be that we had been there at the end of the day on a Sunday (which I don't blame)

The charging sockets had lose sockets in my room as well as the hairdryer wall has broken connection and we could see the wires which created a health issue as any person would be eltrocouted if they were not careful.

Room was small but as expected. Shower was hot and bed comfortable. Some channels on the TV were in English which was a bonus. Good clothes cupboard with several hangers provided. Very good towel in bathroom.

The handbasin was adequate but very small and the location of the mirror shelf meant one was constantly striking one's head on the shelf.

The room size is okay, bed is good. We were assigned to wheelchair accessible room, so the bathroom is very spacious and clean. Airconditiong/heater works well. Warm water in the shower. Self check in went smoothly. Just be mindful of the things that they might be charging you if damaged.

The only thing that did not make it excellent was the noise. We stayed 2 nights, but it did not bother us that much. Bearing in mind the price, it was acceptable.

The hotel upgraded my room so I stayed in a bigger one than I'd booked. I'm very grateful for this. I got a double room instead of a single one which was very generous. The room was spacious and had big windows and even a little balcony. Everything was basic but quite clean, I cannot complain. The internet connection was strong and the shower was good.

The hotel needs an upgrade or at least something needs to be done about bed linen and towels, even with those replaced by new ones everything would look brighter.

The location is excellent. The bus stop is downstairs. It's so convenient to take the bus line 760 directly to the old city and the dock.

The lamp in the bathroom was broken, and there was no light in the bathroom. I stayed for two days and no one came to repair it. The front desk service staff said that their technicians could not be contacted.

one of the staff she was leaving name as sofia was very very rude. rest of staff(bethiny and new starter girl) were very professional and amazing and happy to help, the only issue was hotel doesnt serve early check in request before 4:30pm at all and there is no place to leave your luggage nearby only if we can pay for locker somewhere nearby

It was near to centre and go to easy everywhere. Staffs are nice and clean Worth for money.

Usually people talks about elevator. Because It's doesn't work properly but I have no luggage and heavy things I'm just warning others. Just Sink in the bathroom is small that's it. Overall fine
