The bar on New Years Eve,was a total shambles. We decided to have a drink around 22.00 going to the reception to ask a lady for a drink. Well this is when it all went wrong, she could only sell bottled beers,which we didn't want so asked for Gin and tonics,the reply can't serve them don't know how to pour them. Only beers from the fridge,she explained. Okay I'll have a bottle of wine from the menu on the bar then, sorry not sure which one she replied or what price to charge. To which I replied, the price is on the menu. Sorry not allowed to serve that either, she insisted beer or nothing, to which I said goodnight... It seems the hotel really needs to pay attention to some serious staff training of this particular unhelpful individual...

Almost everything.

An excellent breakfast, hot and cold selection. However, why cook quality ingredients and then spoil it with an inadequate way of keeping it hot. Also the plates for your hot items are not kept hot. This is really basic stuff ! We will return, and this one problem "we hope" will be rectified. This is the only thing "wrong", very little considering what some so called 4 and 5 star hotels are like.

Breakfast was fine. Plenty of choice.

I didn't like having to pay extra to get a comfortable pillow. This should be standard. The single pillow provided was inadequate and left me with a stiff neck. I was disappointed that the swimming pool did not open until 9am, despite the official information booklet in our room saying that it would open at 8am. This made it difficult to have a pre-breakfast swim when breakfast closed at 10am on week days. The swimming pool should have proper changing facilities in the pool area, especially as there is plenty of space. It is unpleasant to have to walk back to one's room dripping wet. It also makes the floor unsafe and slippery for other guests.

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable and in a great location within easy walking distance of Loule centre. Lots of restaurants nearby, we ate out in two places recommended by the hotel reception and both were excellent. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. Good facilities including a cosy bar and lounge area, a swimming pool and a gym. And a varied breakfast each morning, with hot and cold options, included in the price. Overall, incredible value for money, we would definitely return.

These are very minor points and didn't really impact our stay. The light in the bathroom was very dim, so difficult to see when doing makeup despite the magnifying mirror. There was no kettle in the room, only a coffee machine. You could rent a tea making kit for a small charge but we didn't bother to do that. The bed sheets were poly cotton so I did end up sweating quite a lot but not a big deal and wouldn't stop us returning.

Spacious and clean room. It had everything that a good hotel would provide. The staff is friendly and took effort in providing us packed breakfast as we had to leave for the airport early in the morning. On the day we had the complete breakfast, we were very happy with the spread. Parking garage or parking outside the hotel, if available, are the options. The pool area is nice, but it could get busy. Very close to the airport. It took 20 minutes.

The pricing is for the time of year. It could have been cheaper comparatively because the rooms by the sea are cheaper than this. But for us, it was important to stay closer to the airport.

I spent a few beautiful weeks in the Algarve at the end of 2024. I traveled the entire southern and SW coast. Also the SE border with Spain. I tried to get to know the local people, customs, nature... I like the local market, the local simple food, fish. Until mid-December I was swimming regularly and beautifully. I lived in different places, always for a few days. For all this, the accommodation in Loule Jardim Hotel offered me ideal conditions: communication with the staff, equipment, peace, accessibility, parking space. Thank you.

The hotel is in a perfect location for seeing the sites or shopping at the Saturday outdoor market. Staff greeted us warmly when we arrived and showed us where to park. We were lucky and got a spot right across the street, on a little park. Our room was quiet as it faced the back of the hotel, although our friend facing the front complained about a barking dog that kept her awake. Breakfast was excellent with a minor exception, possibly a holdover from the days of the pandemic: jam packets instead of the homemade jams we’ve become used to at other hotels. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

The hotel uses those plug-in electronic air fresheners that exude a cloying floral scent. One evening as we relaxed in the lounge the odor was just too much and we requested that it be turned off. We were told it wasn’t possible to shut them off (?!) The wifi connection needs improvement.

Great location, free secure parking. We had a 4th floor room with wrap around balcony, superb views. Staff good, room clean, English speaking TV channels, no complaints. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.👍

Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, however, the staff don't keep ontop of the hot food, it runs out quickly. They did top it up, eventually and it did taste good. As we had plenty of time we were able to wait for the food to be replenished. Lots of fruit and cereals. Decent coffee, cakes and breads. Breakfast tables could do with being cleared a little quicker. Guests were moving used pots and cutlery onto other tables to enable them to sit at their favourite table, it seemed to be the norm and all part of the quirky, quaint character of this lovely traditional hotel.

Wonderful helpful Reception staff. Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Muffins and pastries were first rate. Enjoyed my bacon sandwich and toast. The fresh fruit and yogurt were delicious and so fresh. Lots of cheese and cooked meats to choose from. Juices and hot drinks kept topped up. Great service from the staff. Large, light room with a huge bed. Good hot shower and fluffy towels. Spotlessly clean. Brilliant location for the historic centre with great restaurants close by. Great modern Aircon unit. Plenty of wardrobe space. Fridge came in handy too!

Pillows were a bit small and lumpy. No brewing facilities in the room, extra charge of 2.50 euro. Not come across this before. Asked for a high floor room, quiet area but was given one on third floor directly next to stairwell and pool. Bathrooms bit tired but very clean.

Hotel location is at quiet area near a very small park and it is in walking distance to city center. There are plenty of free parking slots around the small park. Our room has large windows facing the small park, very pleased. Room has computer desk, round table, bed table, a single sofa and a big bed. Lots of space to move around and store stuff. Bathroom is big too. There is an air heater in the bathroom so it can be warmed very quickly before shower. The light system for the bathroom is stupid though, need to follow certain sequence to turn on and off the lights using the 4 switches on the wall. Took us quite a while to figure it out. There is a nice roof with terrace and an indoor swimming pool. Although we Didnot use the pool but the room for the swimming pool felt very warm in winter. We did enjoy the sunshine and the view on the terrace. The breakfast room on the ground floor is very nice in a sunroom with greens. Breakfast is great, many options. There are also nice sitting area on the ground floor next to the breakfast room.

It is nearly perfect but one thing we did find annoyed: there is coffee machine in the room but we need to buy the capsules (1euro each) separately from the front desk. It is not a common type of capsules (called Delta) so not worthwhile to buy from supermarket, although I do know the price is around 4 euro for 10 capsules from supermarket. I donot think it is worthwhile to cause inconvenience and hence negative impression from guests for 0.6 euro margin. This was the only unpleasant moment we had there. Could easily be avoided.
