Miragaia House is located near the river right on the trolley line. Very easy access to Ubers. Easy walk up the river to commercial activities. Nice cafes nearby. Two outdoor escalators to make going up the steep hillsides easier. Totally remodeled recently with hard floors throughout. Elevator. Just five apartments. Electronic locks for easy access, including from the outside of the building. Very safe area with adequate lighting. Very nice breakfast room with the owner cooking breakfast if you want it at Very reasonable price. Air conditioned but new windows that easily open for wonderful outside air. Bathroom fully updated with great drenching shower over tub. Wonderful outdoor atmosphere surrounded by locals. . I was in Porto for my son's wedding so I met many fabulous people. I do not speak Portugese but I did not have trouble communicating. It seems that most people speak some English. About 15 minutes from the airport.

I'm 72 so the climb up the many stairs to upper levels of the city sometimes required a minute of rest, but it was totally worth it as I saw so much beauty along streets barely wide enough for cars. Streets and sidewalks are cobblestone but walking was not difficult.

Miragaia House was perfect in every way. Super clean, quiet, large room with lovely decor and everything you need. There's a small kitchen with a stove, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom is large with great shower pressure and plenty of hot water. The AC worked well and there was a good view with lots of light. The breakfast was fantastic with yoghurt, assorted breads, cold colds, cheese, fresh fruit, pastel de nata, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, and teas. The owner, Marta Lopes, is just fabulously kind and very helpful with any questions or advice on places to eat or things to see. Carla was also great! We will be back for sure. The location couldn't be better. The trams and buses were literally outside our door and we walked to all the sites! We feel lucky to have stayed here. I also loved our own individual security code to get into the building and our room.

Breakfast was good. In particular the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious and the fresh fruit. Bread rolls were nice. Meats and cheese ok. We had a coffee pod machine in our room which was great. Also as we were leaving early on our last day, we asked if breakfast could be left in our room so we could have it before we left, and this was not a problem. Breakfast items were left in our room as promised.

Coffee at breakfast was bitter and not very nice. The bed was comfy but the pillows were a little hard and flat. The key pad to access the hotel and our room was a little tricky at first but after using it a few times we got the hang of it.

Breakfast was wonderful - fruit (kiwi & pineapple), fresh bread rolls, coffee, pasteis de Nata. The room was large, comfy bed, a kitchenette. The owner was very helpful and accomodating and provided advice about how to get there. It was great to be able to leave my belongings there after u had checked out.

Everything was great! The only thing that was difficult (and not something that can be fixed), but getting to the hotel by public transport with heavy luggage was a bit of an adventure. I took the bus from the airport to San Antonio (which was fine). However, the Google Maps recommended route from there to the hotel involves going down 70+ stairs (the escalator there goes in the wrong direction).

House & location was great, but ingress & egress was not good because of the home site in the "curve" of a very busy street. We had 8 people in the home, 2 cars so there was space for parking. Upon exiting, one person opened the gate & stood on the curb to watch and/or hold up traffic to get each vehicle out safely. To enter, we pulled into an alley to drop a person off to walk less than a block to open the gate. We then backed out onto said busy street (there was no curve there) & then drove directly into the driveway. The driveway is a "T" shape. One vehicle can turn in to driveway from street, turn @ back of driveway in one direction & back up directly into other direction & turn car facing the gate to exit onto the street. Hope that makes sense. 2nd vehicle had to pull in & back out. TV nor a/c worked in front bedroom (closer to street).

Large room with comfortable places to sit at the table. Comfortable bed. TV with access to Netflix and the ability to turn to the living room and bed. Air conditioning heating was very effective, the room was warm despite the December weather. The same with the radiator in the bathroom. The bathroom was comfortable, plenty of space for cosmetics, comfortable shower with hot water. Breakfasts were served downstairs in rather cold dining room. Large portions, different types of rolls, cake, yogurt, fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts and fresh orange juice. Possibility to order eggs according to your wishes which was great. There was a small kitchenette in the room with a coffee machine. coffee capsules were added during room cleaning. We were lucky as the room was available few ours before check-in time -thanks Marta!

The kitchenette was tiny, too small to prepare a meal, if someone wanted to use such an option. But it was enough to make a quick salad from ready-made ingredients. Very few glasses, plates.... The entrance door had a code, which sometimes had to be punched in several times. Sliding bathroom doors should be checked. Few times we had trouble opening the door and getting into the bathroom.

Hidden gem in Porto….huge room by European standards with the most comfortable beds and a mini kitchenette which includes microwave and mini fridge. Free breakfast in the mornings which included fresh fruit, eggs made to order, a variety of Portuguese se breads and a different pastry each morning, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea or coffee and a cheese and cold cut plate….what more could you ask for to start your day off right…close to the water and an easy walk to just about anywhere

The sofa and the chairs were slightly uncomfortable and it was a bit odd not to have a front desk but once we got the hang of the entry codes sent to us via email all worked well….

I had an amazing one-night stay at Miragaia House in Porto! The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of the city, with everything within walking distance. It’s the ideal base for exploring Porto’s charm and beauty. The apartment itself exceeded my expectations. The decor is stylish and thoughtfully designed, combining modern touches with a cozy ambiance. The amenities were excellent – everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for any need.

The room and building were clean and well kept, we felt very comfortable there and wish we had stayed longer! Having an elevator was amazing. We travelled with our 7 month old so with all our bags and stroller this was really helpful.

The location wasnt the greatest, had to walk 10mins uphill or 10mins on the boardwalk to reach anything. They advertise a complimentary bottle of wine which we didnt receive.

The room was large, beds were very comfortable and it was quiet during the night. Breakfast was superb - plenty of choice. The location was excellent - an easy 10 minute walk to the riverside bars and restaurants.

The air conditioning unit was high up on the wall in the room and was operated by remote. When it was switched on it had a bright light shining from it and, during the night, this disturbed my wife. Consequently, I had to position a t shirt on the unit to cover the light.
