I made a booking for 4 nights for the duration of Dokomi 2025 (1 day before the con and 1 day after), so my opinion is based on being a cosplayer which needed a place to stay. Location: Excellent. Very good location and exactly what you need as a cosplayer. You have main central station on a short 15m walk or alternatively there's Oststrasse station 3 minutes away which also goes to central or the Dokomi venue. So extremely easy to arrive to the hotel & go to and from the Dokomi venue. Little Tokyo is a 5 minute walk away and that combined with Oststrasse station being nearby allows you to quickly arrive to your room, freshen up and go for a deserved after-con dinner & back without having to walk far or sit at a restaurant in smelly clothing. The other side there's the Edeka, which pretty much covers all your store needs if you're lacking something. There's also various kiosks & other food opportunities nearby so anything you need is very close by. Breakfast: Solid, nothing fancy but you got your selection of breakfast items. Sausages, eggs, bacon, etc... various bread toppings, fruits, coffee, yoghurts and what not. Made for good starts to the day for a long day of walking at the Dokomi venue. Staff: Friendly, helpful and professional. Didn't have too many interactions but whenever I did I felt properly received & helped that includes the work the cleaning staff did. Amenities: I don't think there's much to do in the hotel itself. There's a restaurant & bar but only went to the restaurant for breakfast. So can't comment on much here, but if your intended goal is to visit the venue & city then I don't think more is required. Price & Cancellation: I booked for the room very far in advance and paid about 600 eur including the city tax and breakfast. I also had opportunity to cancel before the day of the booking. I consider the price, considering the previous points, very fair & solid.

Minor stuff. Nothing that made by stay unpleasant. Curtain was slightly ripped and the AC broke on the last day, but it was chilly enough outside that opening a window was enough. Bathroom & shower were slightly too small for me, but I'm a 2m guy. So I don't think most people will have problems with this.

I loved the stuff at the reception and the bar.We had our air conditioner failed to work and they offered me another room straight away with fine air conditioner. Breakfast is wonderful!

Smaller rooms than on photos.And the cleaning service knocked my door twice in the morning while I was sleeping

The breakfast was great. Was one of the best hotel breakfasts we had. Also, it was good that breakfast was available until 12. Checkout was also till 12, which gave one plenty of time to relax a little bit in the room. The location was great, only 3 mins walk to the famous little Tokyo and other Asian resturants to try. The staff was really friendly and the room was clean.

The door of the bathroom wasn't closing properly unless you turned the lock. The shower door was a little squeaky. Parking was a little difficult only small cars can park in the hotel parking lot, but there is a 24-hour parking lot just 2 min away we're you could park overnight. But maybe taking the train to Düsseldorf might be a better alternative than the car

The Receptionist was wonderful! He welcomed us and gave us great tips on where to do grocery shopping, where to eat and was all round helpful! IT was easy to book a taxi Location is WONDERFUL! So easy to walk to the main city centre where there is LOTS of shopping and dining options

The Pillows are terrible, They are reaally soft, Even if they gave us each 2 pillows it was still the equivalent of half a pillow, I have some neck issues so i was getting headaches from sleeping on those weak pillows

The location is just a short walk from the Altstadt, and convenient for exploring the Christmas markets. Amenities like pubs, restaurants and shops are nearby. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the cleaning was very good, and the breakfast was really nice with plenty to choose from. The maintenance staff was also very efficient; the shower head holder in our room couldn’t be fastened above the lowest level when we came, but this was expediently fixed within 15 minutes of us notifying the reception (and we even got a small chocolate). This attests to my experience of the hotel staff as being sincerely devoted to making our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Moreover, the shower had proper water pressure, so it was one of the best hotel showers I’ve ever encountered while travelling. Even the Wi-Fi was superb. All in all, it was just really relaxing and comfortable to stay here, and compared to most other hotels I’ve stayed in (and my count has added up through the years) this hotel was just one of the the most pleasant I’ve been to.

I disliked nothing. And that’s the thing: usually a hotel has one or two things which one can find at least a little disgruntlement with (albeit small things which really doesn’t matter that much). But not this one, I can’t come up with anything that I even slightly disapprove of from our stay.

Attentive staff, we arrived 3h before the established checkin time and even so they got us in a room without extra charge. The room had a window that we were not able to close, making it very cold. As soon as we told the staff they change us to another room. Breakfast very good, with many options.

Rooms in the back of the hotel are of difficult access, at least on the 2nd floor you need to walk very long halls, cross a couple of doors and a flight of stairs to get to them. Hard with baggage even if do not have mobility issues. The ceiling lamps are weak, and we had to relay in side lamps for illumination. The heating in the bathroom was very good, but the bedroom only had AC, even putting it in the max, did not heat more than 17°C.

A good size room, very clean and in a good location. Withink walking distance of the centre and with good restaurants nearby. We were able to park onsite and check in early which was great. Very quiet. Fridge in the room a bonus.

The shower was a little shabby, but that is a very minor complaint. Staff could have been a little more present. The bar was shut on our first evening.

The location was perfect! The room was cozy & clean, the staff were very friendly. We booked 2 double rooms and on arrival they let us check in early, they immediately informed us that they had made a slight mistake with one of our rooms and had to give us 2 single rooms instead so in return they gave us complimentary breakfast for the 4 of us. The bfast was delicious, the room has a small fridge, a coffee machine and also a hairdryer. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

The rooms are on the smaller side and needs more ceiling lights but the rest makes up for it.

The superior room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was an easy walk from the Hauptbahnhof and into the Altstadt. The staff were very friendly and responsive and there was a great vibe and comfortable seating to be had in the bar and in the lobby.

We would have preferred for the air conditioners to be operational - as it was quite hot. We were informed that these are only operation during certain periods of the year, and were given a fan for the room which helped.

Staff were excellent and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom was a little on the small side but perfectly useable. Breakfast choice was very good and quality of food was also good. Location was near to the main railway station and fairly close to the old town. Lot of choice for eating out . Tea, coffee and flavoured water was available in reception along with some treats.

Overall a good hotel. reception and waiting area a little small. TV has limited English channels but we were not there to watch TV
