The staff was super friendly, the room was spacious, the breakfast was great, location is good. The bed was super comfy. I would probably visit this hotel again when i would go back to San Diego.

my first room was on a lower floor, quite near the extremely loud rooftop aircon system of the low neighboring building. It's not possible to go to sleep with a window open. Later I switched rooms, very high up, hardly any noise at all.

Bathroom door — why do hotel designers think a sliding,frosted glass door that doesn’t really close and has absolutely no soundproofing capability is a good idea? This is the most ridiculous, inconsiderate, impractical design trend ever. What idiot is designing these rooms? I would also like to say that when Booking.com suggests you can have breakfast included for a mere $15 more added to your room rate, DON’T BELIEVE IT. All we got for that $15 was a $35 credit toward food, which did not cover anywhere near the cost of the breakfast for three people.

Check-in was quick. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile. Forgive me for spelling her name wrong, but Taleah was awesome. She was efficient by checking me in and providing information at the same time. As crazy as it may sound, I don’t encounter many who can multi task as she did (and I travel A LOT). There is an option to valet OR you can pay to park your vehicle in a parking garage right across the street from the hotel. Who doesn’t like options?!

I didn’t like the wait to check out around 6am. The female rep who was working the desk was engaging in a very lengthy conversation with a customer like I wasn’t standing in line. The lack of acknowledgement did it for me.

We liked the rooms and the clean rooms and facilities. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. we had the feeling that people could enjoy the bar and lounge which you don't see in a lot of hotels

We had complementary breakfast and got a budget of 50 dollars per day to eat at the hotel restaurant. Obviously 50 dollars doesnt cover the breakfast for 4 BUT BUT the food was soooo sooo good! nothing like the continental breakfast buffet you get in other hotels!!! Loved the food!

We really liked the breakfast credits and guest credits. In total we had $85 in credits each day which made it feel like an all inclusive resort. Free glass of wine at night, free bikes to use around the city, and yoga class Saturday morning. Upgraded our room for free and let us check in very early.

The renovation was not professional. One of the lamps and the refrigerator in the room didn’t work. They brought us a spare refrigerator to use. The pool bar/pizza restaurant was closed.

Great location - walking distance to Balboa Park , Convention Center, Midway & Coronado Island Ferries. The breakfast was fantastic-great selection. Especially enjoyed the morning coffee - both hot & ice coffee was available every morning. The afternoon wine & food sampling was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very professional, friendly and more importantly available to assist in any manner. The hotel was recently renovated and is very chic. Our room was the corner room on the 17th for with a view of the city. Large room and very quiet. The yoga class Saturday morning was a nice surprise. Would stay there again if I’m in SD !!!

Would have wanted more yoga classes available on the weekend.

Great location for downtown and close to restaurants and night life. Helpful staff that offered us an alternative to breakfast which we had to miss due to other plans.

The booking included a complementary glass of wine which was a nice idea, although they didn’t want to serve it in a wine glass! Instead wanted to serve it in a small tumbler glass. Fix this and the whole stay would have been a faultless.

The property’s location, balcony , overall design and amenities were great! The roof deck, awesome! You can’t beat the location!

The property itself was great. We didn’t like the process of checking in and the staff person helping us. It was not a clear from the offer from booking or the hotel that we would need to leave a $700 deposit! At check in they charged temporarily the full amount of the room for the 8 days we stayed plus the deposit and then we payed again at check out. We Normally wow would just pay at check-in or check out but holding our payment and also requiring a $700 deposit was excessive . The person helping us was not clear explaining to us the charges and it got very frustrating. No food room service m. I wasn’t able to eat at the hotel any day. Hopefully next time!

We booked a skyline suite! It was a lovely, clean suite with 2 balconies, one with folding doors. The decor is clean and modern with a boho-chic flavor with an open air lobby. Housekeeping did an excellent job everyday. We ate twice in the hotel, each time was delicious! The burger was simply amazing! Lastly, coffee & tea, hot or iced every morning was a nice bonus. I would stay here again.

I wanted to love everything, but I didnt! The bed nor sheets were as comfortable as I would like it. I am also accustomed to slightly larger suite with an area equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and a separate sink especially given the short faucet in the bathroom. There was a refrigerator but that was it. Lastly, the front desk service could have been better. We called down several times for the same items such as ice and an iron & board. Their response time needs immediate improvement.

this is a newly renovated property in the gaslamp district. The staff were helpful and friendly enough. We liked the bar area and lounge area. We were surprised at how good the breakfast was. The room was pretty comfortable.

There should be more attention to details, especially in the room. The windows were very dirty and there needed to be some refreshing of paint, etc. It seemed a little worn. The little sofa in our living room area was very very uncomfortable. Also it was hard to get hot water in the shower. We didn’t care for the location. It’s nice that it is near the Gaslamp but there were quite a few hobos wandering around, and there was trash on the streets.
