Location! So close to very good restaurants on Smith Street and numerous subway lines are 1/2 block away. Rooms are spacious comfortable and have simple nice decor. Staff very professional and pleasant.

Fees! Sneaky way of directing you to their restaurant for way overpriced breakfasts when many good as many good alternatives are nearby. There is a MANDATORY added fee of $35 a day per room that must be can/must be spent at the Hilton. Valet parking, or buffet brunch (very good), but for a couple like us who chose the hotel because we took the train to the city, it was not much of advantage. A la carts at the restaurant is way too pricey. So the first morning we both had breakfast for around $100 all in. Didn’t do that again. Just one of us ate there, the other bought breakfast outside. Wouldn’t be enough for us not to return but very sneaky.

Lots of space. Newer large flat screen TV. Comfortable beds. Lots of towels. Attentive desk staff. Good food and service in the restaurant (to the extent we used it).

The restaurant closed between 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. so lunch always had to be somewhere else. The robe hook on the bathroom door fell off. The rod holding the shower wand fell off. One of the towel racks was pulling out of the wall. (A call to the front desk took care of all of this in one maintenance visit). The daily maid service "failed" on the 3rd day; only 1 bed was made, several dirty glasses were unchanged, the coffeee service was not cleaned nor replenished, the carpet was not vacuumed. The follow-up from a visit to the front desk was unsatisfactory. No extra chair or sofa, even tho there was lots of room for them. The only seating was the desk swivel chair.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — the Brooklyn Bridge is just a 30-minute walk away, which made it easy to explore one of New York's most iconic landmarks. From the hotel, we could also easily discover the Fulton Street area and the DUMBO neighborhood, both of which are full of charm, great food spots, and nice views. Our room was clean, spacious, and quiet — just what we needed after a long day of sightseeing. The bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We also booked the breakfast buffet and it was really good: fresh options, good variety, and well-stocked. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and the service felt welcoming. Overall, great value for the price — perfect for anyone wanting to explore Brooklyn and Manhattan on foot or by public transport.

Recently renovated, the hotel was super fresh and clean. The location is excellent (for our purposes): 2 blocks from Jay Street Metrotech subway stop, a few blocks from Cadman Square and Brooklyn Heights, adjacent to Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill neighborhoods. It was terrific to have access to a bar, lounge, and small restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The decor is a little too generically "historic" rather than specific to its Brooklyn location. While clearly attempting to evoke Brooklyn and it's history, the decor actually featured antique maps of Manhattan. A major photo collage in the lobby actually showcases a view from Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston. Brooklyn has so many iconic views, history and structure, it was disappointing that the designers didn't make the effort to feature images of Brooklyn. The pillows were great; the mattresses were subpar.

breakfast little pricy for silver membership. was good though. location was good for concert at barkley CT. enough places to eat or market or pharmacy nearby.good secure elevator. very good length of buffet. can sleep in later and eat too. can use NYC extra tax of 35$ towards purchases. booking .com gave me similar price to silver Hilton membersip.

bar and restaurant close too early. the extra tax or fee of 35% to get rid of. also all the extra charges or taxes. I hate the bike and moped lane in general. valet parking is expensive and I hope some of tip is included.

Clean, soundproof room. We didn't hear people noise which was great. There was construction going on outside but it wasn't overly noisy. Comfortable beds.

Noisy HVAC in room. Not sure why American hotels can't do the quiet European A/C systems. Also for some reason it sounded like a vacuum cleaner was permanently whirring away next to the bathroom. I would give it a higher rating but for the noisy ventilation. The lobby was very warm and $10 for a can of soft drink/small bottle of Perrier from the hotel fridge is too much even for NYC (Brooklyn).

The hotel was excellent. I had some doubts before arriving because I read many reviews (not sure if all were about Hilton Brooklyn), and I was a bit influenced by them – but none of the negative things I read happened. Everything was great: the hotel, the service, and the whole experience. Special thanks to Jorge at the front desk – he was very kind, clear, and helpful. The room was a great size, with a minibar, safe, complimentary water, and a beautiful bathroom. The area felt good, especially during the day. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel because there were many nice options around. One thing I really appreciated was the $35 credit that you can use at the hotel’s store or restaurant. It’s basically a taxi reimbursement, and that was a nice surprise. I loved my stay, and if I come back to Brooklyn, I would definitely stay here again.

Honestly, nothing to complain about. Just keep in mind the area feels better during the day than at night, but it wasn’t a big issue for me.

The property was located in a really cool neighborhood with cool restaurants, bars and shops. I've never really stayed in BK as I am (by birth) a Manhattanite. LOL. However, this experience definitely turned me on to loving Brooklyn. I actually felt like I was experiencing a different New York. I tried so many things because so much was close to this property. I never even went across the bridge to my normal haunts. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was HUGE for a hotel room in New York and if you know, you know. The bathroom was clean and my room was always turned down when I got back inside. There is a bar downstairs and the hotel serves breakfast and dinner but I did not get a chance to try. It smells great though. I really have nothing bad to say about this place.

Staff, room size, breakfast, dinner

There was an issue with the TV, because we could not figure first how to bring up the cable channels or streaming. The technician did not know it either ( he told it was a new TV( No user guide was provided.) Finally we figured out ourselves. The coffee machine was leaking, and the room attendants almost never filled up the coffee supply, as well as they left dirty glasses and ne clean glasses were provided.

The gym was clean; the staff were very friendly and helpful- even helping us get an uber when our cab didn't show up in a timely matter. They arranged for us to check in early on our travel day which was extremely helpful- they really went the extra mile. My mother left her laptop behind- and they secured it and we were able to go back and get it. They were fantastic.

I don't have negative feedback for the hotel. They were fantastic!
