Elaine at the front desk was so helpful. She was friendly and accommodating when we asked if we could swap our room for a quieter location. She checked up on us within 5 minutes to see if we were ok with the second room. We only stayed for one night, due to a boiler breaking down at home. Our room was clean, and the bathroom was spacious too. We didn’t use any of the hotel facilities so the review is based on a “room only” basis. A very good first impression of an IHG hotel.

Parking charges, I felt as if an additional £10 was a bit steep. Thought it should be included in the price of the hotel stay.

I love the location, atmosphere and staff at this hotel. This is our second time staying here and I this will always be my first preference when staying in Solihull to visit family. The breakfast, service, cleanliness and food in general was excellent.

The only thing was the second room we booked was cold. While the radiator was on in my room, it didn't work in the room where my husband and son was staying. However, we raised it twice with the front desk and on the second occasion the person at the front desk took it upon himself to get a heater and deliver it to our room, which I was very impressed with.

We were made very welcome at reception, which is always a good start! Having arrived a little early we were prepared to wait in the lounge, but that wasn't a problem, A quick check and the room was ready for us. The room was fine, good facilities albeit the bed was a little too soft, but we still managed to sleep well over the four nights stay.

Much to my surprise, Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, specifically the hot Breakfast Buffet where everything other than the eggs, were overcooked to my liking. Not the end of the world however as the continental breakfast along with cereals, juices and such was fine.

Staff were all fabulous (Sarah-reception, Mo-duty manager, Narajan-bar, Ethar-breakfast, Evie-dinner) Polite, helpful, professional. Room was spotless. Location is 10/10. Great access to town and leisure facilities like shops and restaurants. Beautiful grounds. Enjoyed the pool/sauna etc. Very clean. Great selection of choice for breakfast. Can’t wait to stay again!

We didnt have any kind of view from our window. Triangual window above eye level. Not the end of the world but room dark and may make others feel uncomfortable. Childs portion meal very tiny and not at all sufficent for 11 yo. But big jump to adult portion/price. Would rather pay abit more for slight bigger kids meal/small adults….Suitable for very young child (toddler/preschool). Ordered extra side to top it up. More ‘bar/lounge’ seating might have been nice-bar got very busy and seating not relaxing/loungey. Didnt affect our enjoyment but again it might be disappointing for others.

the manager (cant remember her name ) was really professional and lovely member of staff .looked after us very well .

One couple ruined it because they were in the executive lounge when we were, and they drank and ate everything in sight and i found out they shouldnt of had access in there at all, so they had everything for free and ruined our experience, but the lady manager sorted it well. Unfortunately, it was too late, and they had the privilege of everything in the executive lounge but for free.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed including an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was delicious on the first morning but cold on the second day but this was due to our sleeping in and just making it in time! The staff who served our grandson’s christening party could not have been more responsive to our needs. The food was delicious!

The cold breakfast was not as good as the first day but it was our fault for being there at the last minute.

The location was ideal. So close to touchwood shopping centre with assortment of places to eat. So no need for inclusive package. Ideal for our visit to motorcycle museum. Friendly staff. Bargain inclusive package breakfast and evening meal. Access to pool and spa area. Great parking Would stay again due to location and general presentation of hotel but would make more use of local eateries which very close to hotel.

Unable to have double bed without paying extra. Room advertised as double/twin bed and emailed to ask for double at time of booking. Twin beds pushed together and when asked for a double told I would have to pay extra for executive room Same menu for both nights and was limited choice from main menu

We weren't told about the parking situation on check in and despite filling out my form and including my car reg number I was told on checkout I "should have put my reg number in the machine when i checked in and might get a fine in the post which i then need to contact the hotel about" Someone else checking out was having the same issue, surely it should be standard process on check in to ask people if they have parked on site and advise them on registering their car.

Very welcoming we we arrived.

I arrived at 5pm. I 5hen found out that kids were only allowed in the pool till 6. I thought that was early. After a 3 hour drive my family was looking forward to the evening of swimming. I had booked the our room with access to the lounge. After reading the rules of the lounge, it sounded nice. When we arrived we were told that kids can't be in the lounge. Please update the rules and t&c's to reflexes this. My wife was upset and spent the rest of the night in the room with our son.

Breakfast was good. They cater very carefully for allergies too and so whilst this does slow down the food arriving at the table as it is prepared separately, would recommend. The room was a great size and was comfortable, and the staff were very good. Pool and gym were fine and ready for use (the men’s changing room was undergoing refurbishment but this didn’t detract from the experience). Location was good as we were visiting for an event at the NEC and the drive in was perfect.

The tv had a ‘hard of hearing’ descriptor which could not be switched off (even the manager tried and couldn’t work it out) and so we had to select programs where this wasn’t an option as it made the viewing experience of a tense movie with little dialogue emotional. The pool looked a little tired in some places.
