Even though on my check in day the front of staff hostess did not speak English she was polite and called in some help to assist. (I don't speak Chinese either, so I have to improve on that.) The rooms were compact but clean and very functional. Also, my room was very quiet. Location couldn't be better with close access to main Douby Ghaut MRT station within 5 minutes' walk. Nice Bar next door which provides a nighttime refreshment.

No complaints from me really. Maybe an in-room iron and iron board instead of having to go to second floor. But that isn't a deal breaker.

Ji Hotel offers great value for the price. The deluxe room was spacious, providing ample space for luggage and shopping bags collected throughout the day. The hotel's location is just a short walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, which conveniently connects to three different MRT lines, making travel around the city much easier. The hotel is also situated on a quiet street, away from the main roads, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, particularly the gentleman with glasses who allowed us to check in early and the lady who greeted my partner in her native language upon seeing her passport. Their warm and welcoming demeanour during check-in felt like a breath of fresh air after the hectic check-out experience at our previous hotel.

These were by no means major issues at all, but you may want to consider them while making your decision to stay at Ji Hotel. Consider whether you’re comfortable with the toilet panels being translucent—almost transparent—when the lights are on. The room features a large Samsung TV, but unfortunately, it wasn’t fully functional. It only displays general information about the hotel, local area and weather. A few YouTube videos or a Netflix episode to wind down after a great day out would have been very nice. The ironing boards are communal which means you have to go down to the 2nd floor to use it or bring it back up to iron in your room and return it after you're done with it.

The property is very clean everywhere. Its location is central, lots of restaurants around it, a 7-11 where you can buy a SIM card and groceries, MRT and bus stops are also walking distance. The hotel has washer/dryer for S$6 each load (you can exchange your laundry money for coins at the front desk); a microwave oven; a healthy drink vending machine; all of them can be found at the Gym Room on the Second Floor. In your room, you will find free tea; you can get hot water for the tea at the Gym Room, unless you have a water boiler in your room. Two (2) free bottled water are provided each day. If there are more than 2 registered guests in the room, I would think the hotel will give additional bottled water. There is a hair dryer, 2 pairs of slippers, 2 toothbrushes, 2 tiny toothpastes, etc. in a square box next to the sink. There are 4 glasses. Rooms are cleaned daily, unless you opt not to. A Huge HD TV in the room is a Plus!

At booking.com, there is a bath robe seen in one of the photos, but my room did not have a bath robe. There is no cabinet to hang your clothes, though there is a place to hang clothes, and hangers, near the door. There are also no drawers to keep your stuff, but there is a narrow but long table to place your stuff.

My 2nd time here since I wanted a place I was familiar with. Staff were super friendly, and location was really central whilst being quite quiet. There is a shopping centre nearby so if you're wanting last minute items it's really convenient. Love the tea and nice touches with the aesthetic of the room and the body wash / shampoo.

There was a creaking floorboard in the bathroom area in my room. It wasn't too bad but would give someone a fright if they walked past it. Thermostat always set at the same temperature but may have been something I didn't know how to use properly. There is no hair conditioner, which I think could be cultural (?)

The aesthetic of the hotel is really pleasant, light wood panelling beautiful white cotton linen and modern. The room was more spacious than I expected from the reviews and we found it a really comfortable retreat compared to other hotels at a higher cost. The big TV while huge for the room, was a nice luxury and we enjoyed that after 4 weeks travelling with small TVs. We also enjoyed the nice shower, bathrobes toiletries and great air conditioning after the Singapore heat. who The location is perfect, directly across the road from the Dhoby Ghaut station with access to 3 MRT lines and the Singapura mall which is great for shopping and food hall. Plus there's lovely staff and a bar downstairs for afternoon drinks. Overall a great option for an expensive F1 weekend. We would definately stay again at the right price.

So the bathroom design is frosted glass walls for the toilet/shower rooms with the vanity/mirror outside of these rooms. So while the mirror outside is great as one can be in the shower and one can be using the vanity/mirror, the glass walls in the shower and toilet are frosted but very transparent. Fine when you're travelling alone, but even with the most comfortable partner, I don't want them to see me sitting on the toilet. If you're after a little privacy, this isn't the room for you.

This is a great tourist option for 2 or 3 nights in Singapore. The rooms are smart and modern and spotlessly clean (lovely bathrooms) and the hotel is very quiet at night. The location is only a few minutes walk from the Dhoby Ghaut metro station that has easy links to many main areas. The lack of bar or restaurant is a bit of an inconvenience but there is a range of outlets within a very short walking range. Next door bar serves basic meals - burgers etc.

I have stayed at Ji Hotel several times now. The location is excellent, virtually opposite Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, several bus lines, Plaza Singapura, and a short walk to the Istana, Fort Canning Park, The National Museum, Orchard Road, Takashimaya, and many many more. There are laundry facilities on Level 2 if you are staying for longer, and a dryer available as well. Change is available from the front desk. The staff are friendly and accomodating, helping us store our 5 large suitcases when we checked out. Can't speak highly enough of them. Yes the bathroom floor boards slightly uneven, but really nit picking if you complain about that if you are staying at a nice midrange hotel that somehow still offers budget pricing. Will stay here again when I do my annual visit next year.

Room on the 3rd floor, room number 8309. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view of a beautiful tree. TV was very large. Excellent location, close to MRT line.The beautiful Fort Canning park was close as well.

Room on the 3rd floor, room number 8309. The aircon did not work, we had to keep resetting it, it would default to 20C. Then it would randomly turn off completely. We advised the management, they had no recourse. We didn't like the clear toilet room door. No coffee maker, the coffee in the lobby wasn't good, either.

Well decorated and spacious room, with a very large (65 inch I think) TV. Hotel provides two paid washing machines and driers. The front desk provides change but only for paper bills. I did not spot any dirt and grime in the room.

The hotel is almost on top of the North-East line and it is just about audible when a train runs underneath. No pool but a “gym” with one cycling machine and treadmill exists. My room is on the 2nd floor so the view is nonexistent.

Great location. Clean, quiet room. Helpful staff. Would recommend as a place to explore Singapore especially if using MRT.

Toiletries were provided but no hair conditioner or body lotion. If you are travelling hand luggage only these are difficult to bring. There is a note you can put in your bed if you don’t require your sheets to be changed but when we left it on the pillow they did not make the bed at all. No tea replenished after our first day.
