The hotel is in a beautiful location and surrounded by lovely gardens. The pools are fabulous as well. I love the low rise of the building and the peaceful surroundings. The location is really convenient, close to Clarke Quay and plenty of transport options. We enjoyed the breakfast and having a coffee machine in our room.

The hotel seems a bit worn and services that you expect in a 5 star hotel are missing such as robes and mini bars. We arrived early in the morning after an overnight flight. The hotel was not busy at all but they would not provide a room. We were flying out the next day late at night so I booked a second day. I asked if we could have breakfast on arrival given we would not be there for the second breakfast that was included in our rate. This request was refused as we had not requested earlier. The breakfast room was definitely not busy so it just seem a bit mean.

Location in Fort Canning park - so wonderful to be in a garden setting- central to all to see in Singapore - Most of the staff are very helpful. Spacious room with lovely view

Location, a good swimming pool and large comfortable room. Also the bar staff on Sunday Han Thu was very friendly and helpful.

A couple of niggles. Tea making facility not stocked with ordinary teabags or milk Phone to reception had no instructions and couldn’t get to work Requesting taxi to airport was told not possible if paying by card and this took a while to get sorted!! Aircon couldn’t be turned off on first night without visiting reception control. No information in room on hotel facilities, breakfast times etc. We’ve been told the hotel is being closed for refurbishment so hope this feedback is helpful.

Superb establishment. Cleanliness and amenities were very good. We had to rearrange the set up of the room to set things to our liking. Very pleasantly surprised to notice that cleaning staff kept our setup as it was. A big thank you to them. Friendliness and caring attitude of the majority of the staff made our stay very enjoyable, a special thanks to a lady, working in the restaurant who was so caring to our little boy and made him feel at ease.

Only one minor incident happened on the first day with the person overseeing the breakfast. After speaking to the duty manager, it was settled promptly and professionally.

Location suited me as wanted to have some greenery nearby as opposed to more buildings. Fort Canning park is a great place to walk around and explore, an historic insight into early Singapore and more recent World War 2 history. Breakfast was good, room was spacious with good sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Fort Canning MRT and Clarke Quay are a reasonably short walk away. Early morning and evening walks around the park are great times to listen to the local wildlife.

Electronic switches for room functions took a bit of getting used to. If you're city facing, the bathroom is exposed to external view so you may want to keep the blinds drawn while showering. This is a note for interest not a criticism as didn't bother me at all.

We loved the hill top park location and the building imbued with history. The swimming pools deserve special mention. The deluxe rooms are nice and spacious and the staff are friendly and efficient too.

Breakfast was fine but a hotel of this quality should provide proper expresso coffee with fresh milk.

Everyone from the reception, to dinner and breakfast was courteous, caring and professional. The bedroom was a good size as was the adjoining lounge / office. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Fantastic after a long flight. The bathroom with large soaking tub and large shower was well appointed, well maintained and very comfortable. The restaurant in which we enjoyed dinner and breakfast is a lovely area to sit (inside or outside). The dinner menu is extensive with Asian dishes and western dishes. This service was superb.

Nothing really (except as with most things in Singapore the price quoted for meals, drinks etc does not include a hefty service charge and then a number of taxes.) Just be aware to add approx. 20 -25% on to your calculations. It's just the way it is!!

We loved that it was a well-furbished room. There was a outdoor area for us to hang out and chill. The entire room was cosy and facilities were on point.

Toilet was a little small, there wasn't enough leg space. Aircon temperature couldn't be adjusted and it was too cold. Porch area was filled with leaves and other debris. Only thing would be the cleanliness.

The location was fantastic. Fort Canning is in a beautiful area and the bakery in the park was perfect for coffee/breakfast or just something nice! We could walk into alot of places eg Clarke Quay with heaps of restaurants and to train.

the prices in the hotel bar were exorbitant. $30 for a coke and a beer plus taxes etc.

The hotel was attractive (but in need of a little work). The staff were amazing and couldn't do more to make my stay enjoyable. The room was clean and spacious - with an excellent shower. Breakfast was good - but more vegetarian options would have been welcome. The hotel was quiet at night - leading to a good night's sleep.
