It was in the middle of everything and has really nice restaurants surrounding it.

The hotel was very much outdated and the views were crumby—it was overpriced for what the actual hotel had to offer.

One of the rooms in which my family stayed was way too cold, even after turning off the AC. You need to prepare warm pajamas!

The location is so good for people planning to watch concert as it is near to the yellow line that is heading to the stadium mrt and also blue line that is easier when coming from changi airport. For shopping purposes, you can use the yellow line to transfer to red or brown line easily too.

The room size exceeds my expectation, and the staff was so generous in providing us several bottled water anytime you need.

There was a liquid soap container in the bathroom ,with no label if it is a shampoo or body wash at all., no option we use it as both

The staff were incredibly helpful and very attentive. One of our party had mobility issues and used a wheelchair/walker and they were always quick to offer assistance to get up the stairs or in and out of taxis, especially Ryan. The whole place was very clean and they were always cleaning which was nice to see. The location was great - right outside Bencoolen MRT station with cafes, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. We booked because there was advertised a fridge in the room and we did have a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was definitely a plus.

The hotel was advertised with a cafe but there wasn't one onsite - there was a dining area where you could make tea or coffee, and warm up food, but not a cafe. There was also a leak in the bathroom in both rooms on the booking (705 and 706) - it may have been from the shower, toilet, or both. We did let housekeeping know. There were also no hand towels in the room, only one shower towel per person.

Excellent location, just next to a MRT station, also National Museum of Singapore. There are plenty of restaurants and the Raffles City Mall all within easy walking distance. The hotel and room were very clean, and the staff were all very helpful. The hotel price would pass as a budget level amount for the location and the fact Singapore has become very expensive. And as a 'budget hotel', whilst very clean, the room was quite dated. There were some amenities, tea and coffee as well as bottled water were provided. For a brief stay, considering the location, well worth staying in this hotel.

Nothing was really a deal breaker, dated furniture in room and bathroom but still very clean.

The STRAND HOTEL is located in the middle of the Singapore hub so you could reach the most of tourist attractions by walking such as the suntec city, clay quay, Merlion park, China town, bugis within 20min ! Furthermore, they are offering luggage storage service before check in and after check out. There also have a microwave machine at ground floor for guests for heating up instant food. I have enjoyed room service with breakfast that is not luxury but affordable. They provided dental kits per person everyday. My family and I could fully relex on the bed after long journey in Singapore.

In my case, it smells smoking from toilet a little.

My go to hotel in Singapore - location is perfect with the Bencoolen station right outside the hotel, Bras Basah station across the street and Dhoby Gaut station just a 5 min walk. The twin room is quite spacious and has all the amenities of a comfortable stay, including a bath tub. There is a food court at the Lazada One building across the street, that opens early and closes at 9pm, but please grab a Nasi Lemak at a michelin reviewed stall just 2min walk from the hotel at the right side. Will stay here again next time, maybe for F1

There are steps leading to the lobby so you have to lug your suitcase, there are no ramps. The front desk staff are quite ready to help though, but just a note for mobility-challenged guests.

Location of the hotel - central even though the closest MRT station does not get us into other parts of the city without a change of trainline. The room was adequate and clean. No bar fridge confectionaries which is a good thing. Stops me from snacking! No inhouse restaurant or cafe but the hotel is close to food centres like food dynasty, etc. The staff were very helpful, especially as I had a problem with bathtubs.

The driveway of the hotel could be better planned. It is narrow and one has to reverse the car to get out of the driveway and join the main road.

The location of Strand Hotel is amazing. This is the first time my family and I travel together to SG, we had such an amazing experience espeacially in Strand Hotel as it is nearby to orchrad road and also mrt (like walk max 2 mins to brt blueline). For bus stop actually abit messy for tourist but also nearby la... You can comfirm or ask staff for the correct direction, this really makes like easier (just kidding, ***staffs are so nice). Overall, all good! If you are looking for a hotel that have nice location, you can try Strand Hotel. ALso! opposite of hotel has a mall, Lazada One. There are food court (mostly local food), milktea shop, bakery in it. At night, there are some bars and China BBQ. There is a milktea shop (very famous in China) outside, called A little (一一點點). The location is actually have lots of GREAT restaurants and places for you to explore.

The only thing that I think need to improve is the curtain, coz even though I already pull it but when the lights turn off, the light outside still shine into the room.
