The rooms is comfortable and feels cozy. Rooms are small but not tiny - I find it quite comfortable and always clean. I sleep very very well at VH. The desk is quite ample for working and I can focus because it’s also not too noisy. The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly A++. The cleaning staff are helpful and I’m impressed by their attentiveness. Who doesn’t love little fish crackers and free Oreos daily ;+). Thank to the staff !!

I wish the AC did not blow directly into the bed. I do miss the hustle and bustle of the open restaurant in the lobby, but it looks like another might be in the works.

As expected, small rooms. Not a big deal but TV provided did not plug into the wall (and so did not work) and one of the lights was flickering continuously.

I liked the free mini bar in the room the guy whose on duty in the reception for morning shift is very nice. He upgraded me from queen-size bed to kingsize bed plus he is very approachable sorry i forgot the name. and the Filipino guy housekeeping as well is very helpful and approachable. The area of the hotel is very nice … everything you need is nearby the hotel. 7/11 just in the bottom of the hotel

What particularly stands out for this small hotel is its central location in the city with a bus stopping directly in front of the hotel and a metro entrance a very short distance away from the back door of the hotel. We liked this hotel particularly also for the helpfulness of its daytime staff who were also easy to communicate with. For a small number of pages in emergency you could even get copies from reception. For example we needed urgently a page for a visa. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor next to reception if you particularly like very hot dishes. We had some soup and enjoyed a lemon drink there. The hotel does not serve breakfast. However there is a small supermarket open at all hours next door where you can find anything you need and a shopping mall not so far away on the main road. The rooms are relatively somewhat small but quiet and quite practical and the lift to the upper floors was very efficient. The clothes washing and drying machine provided for guests was also very useful for a very small amount of money. Another thing to note is that you can use your credit card in taxis and in buses and in the metro system, if only at a slightly higher cost, which is really so much more convenient when you are there for only a short stay. We also found it quite easy to order a taxi from reception whenever we needed. In Singapore there are so many things to see. Apart from the museums and food and cultural events, certainly anybody should also try to visit the Night Safari and River Wonders whose staff are dedicated to conservation and prevention of climate change before they leave. We definitely will stay at this hotel again the next time we are in Singapore.

I loved this location and am thankful he stayed up late for a 2AM check in. My room was clean and I felt safe as a solo female traveler. The front desk was very helpful with my questions about the city (my SIM card was locked and I had no cell phone outside of wifi)-- I had to navigate old school with no cell phone and these days there are no more paper maps! I would stay here again.

My bed was so small! I am 5'1" and my feet were hanging off the end. I just slept diagonally-not a big deal, I wasn't there to hang out in my bed-I was there to explore the city on a full, one day layover

*We liked the location of the hotel because it is center to many areas (such as Chinatown, Little India, Arab street), have 3 mrt stations nearby, and lots of bus stops nearby too. The airport bus is a 2 minute walk away. *The Indian restaurant downstairs was good, 7-eleven and money changer are right next door. *The staff, reception, cleaning and maintenance, are friendly and accommodating. *Easy check in and check out process *The amenities are complete and we enjoyed the minibar a lot.

*The air-conditioning can be loud sometimes *Cleaning, especially of the windows and shower partition, can be improved.

Bed was comfortable, staff was very friendly, water/soda in the room (minibar free). I liked the location, as it was 10-15 walk from both Chinatown and Kampong Glam, both of which are cool places. Also about 10-15 min to Clark Quay. Showers were nice and hot and liquid soap/shampoo included were nice. Restaurant downstairs, 7/11 right next door, money exchange next door, quick walk to Rafferty Hotel, tons of restaurants close by too.

Incredibly well designed... it's beautiful. Silent and the bed is very comfy. Firm but not hard. High end linen. They put money into this place.

This is a nerdy comment. I had a hard time finding the right temperature with the Daikin muni-split. 20 was freezing. 21 still too cold. 22 never kicked in, so it got a bit stuffy. In a perfect world, you could switch to Fahrenheit for granularity. Bottom line, it was chillier at night than I wanted. (First world problems!)

This property is situated right in the heart of the city close to Raffles Hotel, Chijmes and Raffles city mall. Best location to get your bearings if it’s your first time in Singapore. It’s also close to Bras Basah and Bencoolen MRT. Most of the museums are located within walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious enough for one person but on the small side for two. For a short stay it’s doable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer to look after your luggage after check out which they did for us while we went to chijmes and then to Raffles long Bar.

housekeeping, you need to request to clean the room and another day we put the sign but still don't clean the room we stay there for business trip and often return to the hotel at night tired. Of course, we do expect clean bed room when we get back to hotel
