Good size and comfortable room for a short stay. Bed was very comfortable. Location is excellent as it's a very short walk to the train station and maybe a 30 min walk to Saint-Malo port as well. Staff are hospitable.
Could be a bit more cleaner. There were a few crumbs of food on the floor when I entered. Seems short staffed. Check in desk wasn't staffed during the time I arrived so I had to wait a little while.

we had an overnight stay as needed to catch the ferry in the morning, room was clean and comfortable, location was perfect less than 10 minutes drive to the ferry port and there is a public carpark right behind, that ended up costing 80c because we arrived 17:30 and they don't charge on Sundays. We walked into the old town (15-10 min stroll) which is beautiful and full of places to eat, we were literally spoilt for choice. Staff very friendly, and speak English, which is handy as my French is rusty to say the least. I would definitely go there again for a long weekend.
nothing they could have done about it, but we were on the fourth floor (beautiful views of plaza below) they had a tiny lift, which literally fitted my husband and myself in with no breathing room - so not recommended if you are apprehensive about small spaces, it would be worth asking for a room closer to the ground floor.

Not a promising location - unless you are arriving by train as the station is opposite. But it was totally fine. We found easy parking in the square just behind the hotel. It was not noisy at night. The bedrooms were not huge but well designed with everything you need, good bed and nice linens. The restaurant on the ground floor (part of the same business) was just right for what we needed - traditional dishes, well prepared, modern presentation.
It would have been good to be able to get some refreshments earlier, as the restaurant did not open until 7pm.

Firstly above all else the hotel staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. Our room was a very good size an had 3 sets of french windows opening out onto a small balcony, 2 sets for the bedroom and 1 for the bathroom. There was free WiFi and a flat screen TV. Breakfsat was good. For parking there is a public car park just behind the hotel that only takes coins so make sure you have change but it was only 4 euros for 24 hours.
We have no complaints about this hotel and were very happy with it.

Pleasant receptionist at our 3pm arrival: the 1st floor bedrooms have a Juliet balcony (an extra) with UPVC opening french-doors and an interesting view of the modernistic glass railway concourse. Although not large, the bedroom felt fresh ( new hard flooring for example ) but only one hard stool to sit on. Quiet and efficient aircon was a boon. Good for our one night stay . Small supermarche within sight, open til 8pm even Sundays. Cheap public parking in square behind the hotel. Horodateurs require inputting your number plate and so don`t give receipts even when paying with coins. ( the `Flowbird`app is available) That evening we ate in the linked restaurant, again very fresh and inviting, the lady receptionist acting as Maitra`de !
Reaching the Citadel or the main beach involves a lot of walking but the tourists around us didn`t seem to mind !

Situated approximately half a mile outside the walled city within the town centre, La Mariniere is great value for money, we chose the half board option which gives you 25euros per person off the total bill for the evening, meaning you don’t have to stick to a set course, staff really friendly, room (1) spacious, clean & comfortable

Very close to the train station. Free parking only 5 minutes walk away. Beds were very comfortable. Considering the hotel sits on a main road and a stone throw away from the train station it was very quiet with the windows closed. The air conditioning was excellent, easy to use and super-quiet too.
Not a negative but a head's up. Be aware if you have a lot of luggage. The lift is very small (it states maximum of 3 people but that will be cramped!).

The hotel was near the port for our morning crossing and there was nearby parking . The room was small but clean and warm,
We were not informed that neither the bar nor the restaurant were open that Friday evening .

Good location, easy to find and easy to get into the town and to the ferry. We were there one night as a stop over before the ferry’s departure.
The parking is on street. If you park in the car park behind the hotel don’t park under the trees as the sea gulls will leave you a deposit! Don’t be fooled by the machine, just have three euros ready and probably two will be enough.
