We like that the room is equipped with many power sockets. We could simultaneously charge our phones, extra battery and insta360 all at the same time. The room was also sunset facing which meant that we had good sun (and heat) in the evening to dry our clothes, and especially socks. The room also came with heavy curtains to block off the midnight sun. Beds were very comfy and we were well-rested for the night. Next morning, the buffet breakfast was such a treat.

If signs were available at the carpark to inform guests that rooms are in a separate block from the reception, it will save many guests from unloading, then loading back their suitcases into the car and driving off. We saw many guests doing the exact same and that took up quite some time.

Great room, nice restaurant, reallllly friendly staff at reception upon arrival and the kids fell in love with the resident cat. We needed three single beds and they made sure to accommodate that set up perfectly our request. Beautiful views and location adjacent from water front. Our building had a little green space/playground behind it.

We were told breakfast was served until 10. We showed up at like 9:20 and they were out of several hot things like bacon and were told they weren’t making more. Many people came in after us too so they had even less options. If breakfast is j til 10 serve the full breakfast and don’t make people feel rushed when they’ve paid for the meal.

My son and I had a very nice 1-night stay at this hotel. Unfortunately is was storm weather this day (19m/s) with terrible rain aswell, so we didn't explore the area around the hotel or enjoy the terasse. But if the weather had been better the hotel is located in a beautiful place. There is a Netto close to the hotel as well. The room var not very big, men it was clean and nice. Very sweet staff. There is a nice restaurant with reasonable prices. My son was very impressed with the pizza :-) The breakfast buffet was the best we tried in all of Iceland. Very, very nice.

There is nothing we didn't like.

+ Comfortable, quiet, clean room. + Excellent buffet breakfast: tasty, varied. + wake up service to see Aurora (we did see it and it was beautiful).

- only negative was that though still okay, the quality of evening meal in the restaurant was lower than expected for the price (maybe because we arrived near closing time). The positives of this hotel far outweighed any negatives, leaving a very positive feeling of our stay at Hotel Hofn.

This hotel exceeded our expectations, offering a spacious and comfortable room with amazing features like heated bathroom floors. The breakfast was an absolute highlight offering an impressive selection of fresh and delicious choices. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the entire stay a truly memorable and enjoyable experience; highly recommended

We got lucky and had a larger than average room which made our stay more enjoyable. I think it may have been an accessible room as it had folding shower doors. The bed was comfortable and everything was new and clean. It was in the main building, one floor up. We could easily walk around the peninsula and to the local restaurants and the town pool. We did not borrow the bicycles but that was a nice touch. We thought breakfast was excellent value with many different cheeses, freshly cooked items like bacon and scrambled eggs and even different flavours of skyr. Lots of fruit and good coffee. You could ask for a small box for an extra charge and make a lunchbox too which is a lovely idea.

Nothing, we had a great stay here.

Room was one of the larger we had over the 2+ weeks in Iceland. Breakfast dining area was very nice and the food was excellent. In town, so there were many dining options. It did not affect us but we were surprised there was no elevator. Our room was on the second floor and we had to go up two flights of stairs. The front desk offered to have our bags carried to the room but we declined the offer.

Hofn is a good stopping point, and this hotel was better than we expected. Restaurant and bar are open late (compared to other places) and had good pizza and other food and drink options. Good breakfast spread as well. Room was across the street in some low-rise buildings, but it was comfortable, had good blackout curtains, and bathroom was clean and had good water pressure.

Nothing - it's a good option in Hofn.

Loved the (paid) laundry service. Had nice beds and pillows. Enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. Wonderful breakfast! Was shocked to read that the internet said this hotel was two stars. Not true to me! Room was nice. Nice view. Heated bathroom floor.

Strong detergent smell in room. Shower situation was funky. No elevator was interesting although it didn’t bother us.

The location was great. The dinner at the restaurant was also wonderful. Decor was very nice. Breakfast had a large selection of foods that we also enjoyed.

The room I booked was extremely small and would book a larger room next time. Also there are no elevators to the different floors, only stairs, so it was a little rough carrying luggage to and from room.
