The manager very kindly tweaked rooms so we could have a ground floor - due to travelling with older parents. We were unaware that the motel was two storied. The location initially worried us as the highway was over the fence but there was double glazing and very little noise. It certainly didn't impact our sleep. Rolleston was a great location that was easy to get anywhere in the Christchurch region.

Had we been aware that the motel was two storied we would have specifically requested a ground floor room, but luckily the manager was able to accommodate us.

It was a very spacious and clean motel. Since I was arriving after check-in hours, I contacted them in advance and they sent me a detailed and thoughtful guide. They even left the lights on for me, making check-in smooth and stress-free. There was plenty of parking and I could easily park right in front of my room. I used to stay in the city whenever I needed to go to Christchurch Airport, but from now on, I plan to stay at this motel instead.

My bedroom space was very modern, nicely styled, such a comfortable bed!! Great King Size yay and it had an electric blanket. I loved the dining space, the access to tv and Sky stations. The kitchenette was larger than I thought, the fridge too so THANK YOU. The bathroom shower was an excellent pressure and so clean. Thank you for the cleaning towel service. I also liked the compact storage space for clothes, ironing board and broom. Free car space and outdoor lights for security.

I got caught off guard when daily cleaning service arrived and she walked in and lifted the shade in the kitchen, when I wanted privacy a little longer LOL. I'll know for next time to politely decline this service when I'm still relaxing in the room and I am thankful for clean towels. One comment made about lower curtain marks was answered well.

Towels could do with an update. Slight noise from the road but it was very minimal considering the road is so close. I slept well and I live rurally so not used to the road traffic noises, but it didn't keep me awake so that was good.

Location was good. Facilities were good. The disability shower was lovely. Staff were helpful. Overall we were happy.

The traffic noise started early. The disability shower left much of the bathroom floor wet. We mopped it up with bath mats so we didn't get wet feet walking from the bathroom door to the toilet.

We've stayed before, and always stay in a simple King Studio. We love the handy location just off the highway and also being close to the great eatery strip and shopping centre with supermarket in Rolleston. There is a Z service station next door to the motel, and next to that is the Rolly Inn where you can grab a cheap pub meal. The units are always impeccably clean, the bathroom is super spacious with lots of room to lay things out, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. Great to have laundry facilities available too, and the little covered bbq area is a real winner. Very good value indeed.

The decor is a tiny bit tired but not the worst I've experienced by any means. And the towels are a bit thin. Neither are biggies though.

This was our second stay, Unfortunately, this particular room was very close to the main road, so a lot of traffic and train noise. We had previously stayed in a different room, which was away from the road and it was perfect.

We were disappointed that you needed a key in the slot to get power. They knew we were coming in, on a cold winters day, but our room was freezing when we got there. The heat pump did heat the room , but would have been great to enter a warm room. Also we had to go out for a couple of hours in the evening , to lock the door, we had to leave power off , once again returning into a freezing room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They provided us with a free courtesy van for the night dropping us off and picking us up from a wedding near by. They were so accomodating. It was really appreciated as getting Ubers would have been costly and difficult. It was providing and over and above service. Thank you!

I really liked how clean and tidy it was. I could have my own privacy but the room was also open and light. Safe area from what I could see and very friendly staff.

Only issue was the cutlery cabinet and the toilet door had screws loose. However these are fixable and didn’t have an effect on my overall stay.
