This place has an exceptional spa bath. Heat, bubbles, massager and lights - the works! Very relaxing after a long day of walking around Christchurch. Great sized room with comfortable bed and kitchen. The black out curtains AND roller blinds are also a perfect touch, as it really keeps out the sun, so you can enjoy a little sleep in. The customer service here is exceptional. Check in process was easy and very welcoming. We had to change our dates twice (arriving & extending) and they were very accommodating. Always checked up on us and also gifted us a beautiful anniversary gift. If you need a nice place to stay and relax, this is it!

If I had to pick something to complain about, it would be just the extractor fan in the bathroom does not actual extract any thing. So it does fog up quite a bit, but easy fix just leave bathroom door open 😉

Spacious room, comfy beds, good for a short stay . The ground floor made access easier but zero privacy as all other residents walked past the room. Had to keep curtains and blinds shut. Good washer/drier but you need change. Close to the airport so good for an early morning flight.

Some items listed on description not present. No sofa and standard double bed not extra large as advertised. Also no laptop safe, no alarm clock or phone in the room. TV no internet so only Freeview channels. Door to the bathroom had no handle and didn't shut properly. None of these (except bed) was a real issue but room should be as advertised.

A fabulous experience at the Alpha hotel. It was very comfortable and an extreme value for money. We were able to make meals in the room and the host was extraordinarily nice. His name was Sam. Sam is a tremendous asset to the alpha hotel, and I hope that the owners and management treat him appropriately. He is a great person, and we would definitely come back to the Alpha hotel specifically because of the service that Sam had given us. A tremendous value and a tremendous hotel.

Really appreciated the staff recognising we were staying for a full week and upgraded us to a larger room which made our stay more comfortable and relaxed. We left a note for the cleaning staff one day and they delivered on our request. Everything bout our stay was very smooth.

The motel light on the sign was not always on at night which made it a bit tricky to find as some nights it was on and others it was off. Be careful on the frosty/wet stairs.

Location is good, short drive to supermarket, chinese restaurants, train stations for tranz alpine train, warehouse shops. 3 bedroom apartment is very spacious, with huge TV in living room, very good for family. Daily change of towels even for long stay, compared to others that requires us to use the washing machine to wash out own towels.

bath towels are rather thin. Only 1 bathroom for a 3 bedroom apartment, need to take turns. Suggest to add mirrors in bedroom as well for ladies to do their makeup.

Staff were absolutely friendly & lovely upon arrival. The room was clean & tidy & had all the necessities needed for our short stay. We stayed in the room that had a spa bath, and it worked perfectly. After purchasing our new vehicle, the staff kindly let us park our car onsite due to having a spare space. We highly recommend Alpha Motel for their outstanding hospitality. Thank you again, and we look forward to staying again in the future.

The location was great & suited us perfectly. The staff were very helpful & accommodating with us needing to change our booking to a bigger place (2 bedrooms) on arrival. The cleaning lady was very polite & helped us with out luggage, and although didn't speak much english, got her phone to talk for her & wish us a good trip & hope we enjoyed our stay etc. We won't hesitate to stay with you again next time we're in chch. People were smoking in courtyard below our apartment, so we had to shut windows as smoke was coming into lounge & bedroom .... just a small inconvenience & realize they need to smoke somewhere

Friendly staff & rooms were always well cleaned everyday. Had all amenities it felt like we were at home. Would stay at Alpha Motel again with our family of 9 people

Situated on a busy road but heard no traffic noise. Liked that our key was left out for us as we were a bit later arriving than expected. Husband left his wallet behind in error and they were on the phone to us to let us know before he even realised. Very grateful for their attention to detail.

Door to unit did not always close automatically behind us when leaving so just needed to check each time but once aware of this, as not an issue.

More than what we needed. Close to our conference venue and very accommodating staff. Highly recommended, and exceeded expectations.

Door always automatically locks when closed, so make sure you have your key or someone inside if you're popping out to the rubbish/laundry!
