The hotel was within walking distance of many shops and resturants. While we arrived several hours early the owner was happy to get us into our room before the usual check-in. We were waiting for a wine tour to pick us up and the owner checked on us as we waited outside, to make sure we were doing good, very kind! The room was very spacious clean and comfortable. There was a large whirlpool tub in the bathroom, which was very enjoyable after a long day of running around sightseeing.

Fyffe is always my first choice when we go to Christchurch. They are so consistently clean and friendly. The location is handy to food outlets, the mall and supermarket. I love that even though the room only sleeps two, you still get four cups etc. And the room are always clean, i know im not going to find the previous guests hair in the shower.

I would like an extra thinner pillow as theirs are all quite thick and i prefer a thin one when i sleep on my tummy

The lady who checked us in was the friendliest and most helpful person we have met of the South Island. Absolutely lovely and extremely warm and welcoming. The room was lovely and a massive comfy bed. It was a welcomed change from our previous nights living in a camper van in rainy cold summer weather. Location was perfect for our vehicle return and airport. Best place we stayed on our trip. Laundry on site was also very useful.

The curtains were fixed net ones, which on the hot night were a bit challenging as we wanted to be able to get the full breeze in. The windows didn't open far, making the curtain matter worse. We used the air con, however I always prefer real fresh air and like to see out a window, not be blocked by nets that don't pull back.

Travelled to Christchurch for some retail therapy, decided last minute to stay the night rather than drive 2+ hours home, delighted to find availability at The Fyffe on Riccarton. Another excellent stay, different room to my previous one, but still the same great comfort and amenities. Looking forward to staying again when I am next in Christchurch.

Excellent location, very clean and well equipped room. Being able to charge my car overnight was great. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

The only complaint I would have, and it’s a minor one, is that in the room I had, the external aircon unit that was mounted on an outside wall of the room, was noticeably noisy. It’s didn’t bother me as I always carry NC headphones but it may bother others.

The location was very good. Staff very friendly & obliging. Heat pump had been turned on to warm our unit before we arrived so really nice as the weather was quite cold on our arrival. Parking was easy & felt confident with all aspects of our stay. Would highly recommend to others

Staff was very nice. Room was clean, bed comfortable, tub great, very nice to have on-site laundry facilities. Plenty of parking spaces, WiFi good, nice to have SKY TV available.

The street was quite busy with cars and loud people which was a bit noisy for sleeping. Couple of bugs in the bathroom.

Everything was very clean and seemed recently refreshed. Fresh and new bedding and new curtains and need.

That the mugs were so tiny for a cup of coffee , we used the tea cup but even that was small. Also that all the shelves in the bathroom were filled with items so no where to put your toilet bag.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Luckily we were allowed an early check-in and an later checkout. However, we ended up leaving at 10 A.M. on check out day anyway. The little kitchen was perfect for our stay, we made breakfast every day and the hotel supplied the milk for our coffee. Kitchen was stocked with utensils and plates, bathroom had heated towel rack and ceiling heater which was very nice. The hotel was close to shopping and food but we rented a car to drive downtown. Parking at the hotel was free but we paid about 15 bucks a day downtown. There is free parking in town, just have to drive around to find it. The Botanical Gardens were beautiful and there is so much see!

The couch could have been a little more comfortable but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway.
