We self-catered and found everything we needed in the well-equipped kitchenette. Liked having a separate sitting/dining room with comfy seating. All clean and tidy. Excellent access to regular bus services, the bus stop is right outside the motel.

The outside seating area was functional and not that enticing - under the stairwell. Would like a balcony with somewhere more inviting to sit outside next time. Not a lot of room to move in the bathroom and limited storage for our own toiletries.

Everything was great! The accommodation was excellent, and the location was very central to the shopping mall. Westfield and Pak’nSave were just around the corner, making it a fantastic spot for convenience. Overall, it was a great location and wonderful accomodation.

If possible, please provide an anti-slip mat for the bathroom and a small floor mat for standing at the kitchen sink. Thank you.

Great stay. We chose the hotel because of proximity to Christchurch. We found the accommodation to be to a better standard than you would expect from a motel. We stayed 11 days, probably more than the standard visit. We appreciated the small kitchen facilities and the laundry facilities. Greg, the manager of the hotel, was an excellent guy. Always a pleasure to see him and banter with him - really great. His wife also gave us good advice relating to travel around.

Very good value for money, close to Westfield mall. beds were comfy and room was very clean. The shower had very good pressure and having Sky Sport in the room was fantastic as got to watch the All Blacks play.

The man who checked us in was a bit rude. He tried to tell me we didn't have a booking there despite me showing him my confirmation and advising if it wasn't under my surname it would be under my first and he just kept repeating "the booking is always under your last name". I even asked please check under my first name multiple times and just kept saying.."booking is always under your surname" turns out it was under my first name. Despite the rudeness of this man...it may have been a bad day. I would return to stay again.

A great location, close to shops, everything we needed was in the room, including a bath - what a treat.

The one thing that would put me off staying in this motel again is the sensor in the bathroom, everytime you went into the bathroom (middle of the night included) the extraction fan came on so that it woke others in the room up.

Lovely place to stay. Close to city if that's what your after and amenities.

Our original accommodation booked was cancelled last minute so extremely inconvenient as was walking distance to my daughters.

The owner although an aussie was super friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom really clean and after a week of sleeping in terrible beds it was bliss sleeping in their large comfortable bed. Very close to hagley Park and monster chicken......what more could you want

Location, near to airport. Close to a main road but very quiet. Walking distance to major shopping centre and eateries. Immaculately clean room and helpful/friendly reception. Dedicated accessible parking at door of room. Accessible unit a little tight for purpose especially accessing the bathroom as bathroom door located close to the front door. Not much storage for two suitcases plus wheelchair. Nice little private outdoor seating area. Excellent for a short stay

Unit was very clean and tidy, very handy to Westfield Mall, 10 minute walk away. Our unit was at the rear, well away from any traffic noise from a busy Riccarton Ave, with car parking just outside the unit.

While bed was comfy, found pillows to be not so comfy, minor issue.

The Motor Lodge was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. We could walk into town or catch the bus , we walked to Harley park and also to Riccarton mall which was in easy walking distance for average health people. It was also a short distance to the airport for our early flight.
