Check-in was very quick and easy. The unit I had (No. 24) was a standard motel room, had a comfortable bed but I was a bit cold in the night and would have liked an extra blanket. There was plenty of hot water for a shower and the shower had fantastic water pressure. I understood there would be a small bottle of milk in the fridge but there wasn't one. Kauri Motel is just across the road from shops so I walked across and got milk. On site parking was handy and easy to use. It was a utilitarian experience staying at Kauri Motel. There was nothing that gave me a sense of emotional connection with the property.

Friendly staff. The comfiest bed. One of the best i've slept on and theres been a few. Very clean and tidy. . Room had cook top but I didnt need to use. Very close to eateries. All within 5mins of walking. Mall across the road. Netflix. Close to busy road but couldn't hear the traffic. Spa was big and enjoyable. Loved the wee sachet of moisturiser. Showercap and spa salts were provided but I didn't use. Lovely wee room. Enjoyed my stay. Would recommend to anyone.

For the bigger person like myself the toilet was a little too close to the spa and it felt awkward when sitting but all in all a great room for price.

the biggest positive i can day for this hotel was the location directly across the road from the Westfield riccarton mall and the off street parking while a little tight still pretty good.

we had a room with almost no natural light very tiny windows and incredibly dark the lights needed to be on in the daytime. the noise was a major issue and the room I was in was not at all sound proofed. another thing was the cleaners ignored the sign on the door to our room and came in anyway despite asking for the room not to be disturbed.

Both staff we dealt with were warm, friendly and went the extra mile to provide exceptional customer service. We were impressed that they did not hesitate in making accommodation for our trailer with parking arrangements. Very convenient location - with the mall just across the road for food and supermarket supplies. Great kitchen set up, aircon and a good bathroom set up. Fantastic value for money and customer service delivered with a smile. This is now our new 'go to' hotel for Christchurch stop-overs.

The staff/owner(?) was very friendly and made sure my daughter and I felt comfortable. We were able to upgrade to a bigger room with a bath, which was great. The location was perfect, right opposite the mall and good parking.

The rooms were a bit outdated but really good value for money considering the price. It was a bit dirty under the vanity in the bathroom, which I only noticed because I dropped something. Other than that the room felt clean.

Our room had a fully equipped kitchenette, a lovely big bed and a spa bath that was devine. The staff member was great and very helpful. The location is perfect with Westfield directly across the road.

Visitors arriving from another country at the same time as us, behaving poorly giving the staff member a hard time which she didn't deserve but handled herself and the situation professionally. Our stay was great regardless.

It was a great location. I thought it might have been noisy but we didn’t hear the road traffic, & we were right beside the road.

The bathroom was very small, and the extractor for didn’t work. There was a sign out the front that said 50 sky channel but we couldn’t find sky. We could get Netflix and all those type of channels but no sky sports.

Perfect location across the road from the Riccarton Mall. The room had everything I needed. The staff are wonderful and were very kind when I had an unexpected family emergency and needed assistance with a booking extension and late check in.

Close to all amenities, directly across the road from the mall, off street parking, the spa bath was bigger than I expected and was easy to use.

The blankets were a bit thin, would have been nice to have an extra thick one in the cupboard for those chilly winter nights.
