Stayed over for 1 night at the tower junction motor lodge. Was really convenient as so close to the train station. I’d just got off the transalpine express and was going back to get the coastal pacific train the next day, only a 5-10 min walk from the station. The manager was very polite and helpful. He upgraded the room I stayed in as they didn’t have a room of the type I had booked available. No extra cost. The room was clean and tidy, all amenities provided. The bed was really comfortable. Was quite noisy from the road outside but not too bad with the windows closed. No zircon but it was ok. Not sure what it would,be like in the summer though. I wouldn’t;t habe wanted to habe the windows open. Overall, a positive experience. I would stay here again.

I decided to stay here because of the proximity to the Christchurch Train station at Addington . The hotel kindly runs a free shuttle service to the train station in order to catch the Trans Alpine or the Coastal Pacific . This saved getting a taxi at 6 am in the morning ! We were upgraded to a one bedroom unit that had a small but very well equipped kitchenette that enabled us to prepare a quick dinner and breakfast . The hotel , although close to a very busy arterial road has retro fitted doubled glazed windows meaning that traffic noise was non existent and we slept so well . We arrived very early but this was no problem as they kindly stored our luggage and helped us with various things and by giving directions .

Insect screens on the windows but this seems to be an omission at most accommodation places .

The rooms are beautifully spacious, with sitting area, fridge, etc. The owner is very accommodating, meeting me at the train station and taking me to the airport for a 6 a.m. flight. Despite being on a main road, it is quiet, the bed was comfortable and ensured a good night’s sleep. I stayed here twice, with breakfast being brought the night before for an early start, and my excess luggage stored for my next stay. Harmeet kept in touch by email as I was approaching by train on both occasions, and the entire experience was great.

It's a quaint motor lodge on a busy road. The room is comfortable and has all the basics, including cable TV sports channels which I always appreciate. Conveniently walkable to the rugby stadium with a couple of place to eat along the way. The bed, table, kitchen, and bathroom were all good. I'd definitely stay here again.

The kitchen window in my room looked straight into the Lodge's next door neighbour's backyard, so I had a startling moment when I made eye contact with the neighbour washing his car so close to my kitchen. All I had to do was close the curtains. The reception was unattended for both my check-in and check-out, and both times took several minutes for the staff to attend, though they were pleasant thereafter.

Ticked all our boxes. Whilst a little out of town it was close to airport and train station and a major shopping mall- things we were after. Pick up from train station for free was a great service - although would have helped if the car had sign writing indicating where they were from. After a slight delay we ending up finding the car. Place has everything we needed, was clean and comfortable and great value.

As we didn’t have a cell phone communication for pick up could be better.

Perfect for a short stop before getting the train. The motel was clean. Comfortable bed and good shower pressure. The owner was super accommodating, I emailed about early check in and she sorted us out. She also gave us a lift in the morning to the train station. Really happy with the value for money. Short walk in to town; if you were coming home in the dark you would probs take a cab as you walk through the park.

My only comment would be that the carpet in the room was quite stained. The carpet was perfectly clean (just marked) and the overall cleanliness of the property was really high, however the first impression from the carpet does not match with the actual cleanliness of the room.

Location was great. Easy walk to restaurant, grocery. Train station walkable, but shuttle provided. Prince, the proprietor, was very helpful, very responsive, and definitely on site. Washer and dryer available for guest use at reasonable rate.

Facility a little worn. But it's also getting some renovations. This wasn't an issue, I can seriously appreciate the effort being made by new owner. Good value for price paid; met our needs and close to railway!

Excellent location between Christchurch Airport and Christchurch center to discover the city and its surroundings. The manager Prince and his team really made us feel at home with their excellent professional services provided, cleanliness of the spacious rooms, pick-up + drop-off as promised offered by Prince as well as transport to the airport. The facilities of the room were flawless. Everything amazing :-) Thanks a lot and we promise to come back to TOWER JUNCTION MOTOR LODGE when again in New Zealand!

Man at reception was lovely and gave us a tour of our room and facilities which was nice and welcoming. Our room was clean and the TV even had Netflix! Beds were comfy too. Considering it’s on a main busy road, our room was relatively quiet.

The room can get warm in Christchurch heat which is probably the only downside. BUT we had a fan to cool us down, so can’t really fault anything here.

Everything!!! Phyllis was very helpful and accommodating. I had arrived early and she told me where I could hang around while she got the room ready for early check-in. The room was spacious and cozy. Had a kitchenette with stove and microwave oven. Bathroom had separate shower area. Overall, it felt like home with the warm lighting and all. The Tranzalpine train station and botanical gardens are within walking distance. Phyllis even drove me to the station which I am most grateful for. Would definitely come back if I visit South island again

If I had to name something then, l would say perhaps plug points could be upgraded to having USB connectivity and water pressure at the bathroom could be better
