123 Motel is located right in the heart of Riccarton. Although it's street location can be quite busy, the rooms have good sound-proofing, so there was almost no traffic noise. The staff were very friendly .. and the rooms were kept very clean. The heating in main room and bathroom was very good .. always a bonus for Christchurch on cold nights/mornings! There is adequate off-street parking and the motel is adjacent to a very large shopping mall and also an easy walk to literally dozens on dine-in/take-out restaurants. Overall, this hotel is fantastic value for money!

Good location for the train station and the transalpine express(20minutes walk,turning right out of motel),and food outlets and shopping mall 5-10 mins turn left out of motel up to main road for dinner / breakfast options. Rooms adequate size ,comfy bed ,good shower ,tea/coffee /milk provided, microwave ,hob facilities.

This is not a complaint ,the receptionist on arrival very good and provides u with a local map and can advise you on area, but if you are leaving early in the morning ( before 9) no-one in office but phone no to contact who tells you to just leave key in room

We were arriving quite late at night but the friendly staff were there to ensure our late check in was a breeze! The location of the motel was super convenient especially to Westfield Riccarton, rooms were very tidy and serviced during our stay and had all that we needed to use. Overall a great stay and would happily return :)

The only thing that would've made this stay a 10/10 is if the curtains were blackout as the sunlight came streaming through the curtains lighting up the room at about 6:30am which wasn't too ideal while on holiday. Also net curtains would've been a good touch to add some privacy to the room during the day

Looked small, but rooms were very comfortable & big enough. Bed really nice, heaters worked VERY well. On busy road, thought would be noisy, but double glazing & quite quiet surprisingly enough. Shower was EXCELLENT!!! One block from Westfield Riccarton, short drive to Speights Alehouse. Would absolutely stay again - very economical price too, very pleased. We were a group of 5 using 3 rooms, all of us very happy

Tiny little pottles of milk.

Great location, easy access to shops, restaurants etc. Double glazing kept noise low. Staff were friendly and room was tidied every day. The shower pressure was fab and the room had everything we needed. We would stay again.

Nothing we didnt like but one small improvement that could be made that would have made our stay more enjoyable would be to have a netting curtain so we could have some privacy during the day as our room was facing out to the parked cars.

Had a wonderful time at this motel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made check-in smooth and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice, affordable place to stay!

The only downside was that the legs of the sofa chair was broken, which made it unstable and might lead to an accident. Hopefully, that can be fixed soon. Otherwise, a great experience and I’d be happy to stay again!

The hotel is well located about a 15 min drive from the airport and the town centre. Good Wi-Fi and parking. Good shower and the room was clean and had a microwave, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. There were lots of eateries nearby as well as Westfield shopping centre - all within walking distance.Staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave a suitcase with them while we toured NZ. This was about 2 weeks before we checked in and very welcomed as it saved us lugging if around!

The only negative point was the large glass patio door and window opened onto the walkway. Net curtains would have given some privacy without having to pull the curtains closed. A minor quibble given all the positives above!

All of the above points were as they should be. The receptionist was a "no-nonsense" person who got on with a quick handover of the key to the room. The place was welcoming and easy to step into from the car park.

There was a shortage of milk for the drinks: four small containers for a night's stay. The normal cup of coffee needs two of those containers to even make it look like it has milk in it!! So I would recommend placing more in the fridge or use larger containers. :-)

Perfect location to shops, restaurants, pubs and more importantly Apollo Projects Stadium. Great cosy 2 bedroom apartment perfect for a couple of Friends travelling to New Zealand for the footy. Staff were very accommodating to our 1-2am check in and 3-4am check out due to international flights. 100% would recommend. 10/10.

There was nothing to dislike.

The room was modern and clean, felt a bit upmarket with the art work and skylights. Spacious room and I liked the coat rack so you don't have to put all your jackets etc on the chairs. Great location can easily walk to Westfields Riccarton mall and Tower junction. I also walked easily into Hagley Park and Botanical gardens. Close to bus stops for public transport. Staff were very friendly. Good off-street parking

The pillows were too thick for my liking. Could hear some street noise, but not too bad didn't keep me up at all.
