Great location to Christchurch with a short walk through the Botanic Gardens. Dinner options nearby. We had done the Interislander (ferry) then train to Christchurch, the train station is too far to walk so allow for a taxi from the train station to the hotel. Lounge room was lovely and big and the kitchen was well set out with a microwave for a short stay (no oven or cooktop). Place was clean, neat and modern.

The bathroom was modern and clean with a nice shower but the exhaust either didn't work or was inadequate for the job so the bathroom got very steamy. And yes - the loo was small and a maneuver to get into if you wanted to shut the door.

We had the accessible unit with a disability park right in front of our unit, even a small ramp to get into the unit without having to lift your foot over the step up. This was very important to me as I am mobility impaired. The unit had a seperate bedroom with ensuite. The bed was large as in 2 mtr wide, 2x king singles instead of the 2 single in any king size bed plus the mattresses were incredibly comfortable and the bed just the right height for me. The lounge. Dining, Kitchen area were well equipped with a sofa, table and chairs, kitchen utensils and a microwave, it even had a desk with desk chair and desk light. If course not to forget the large tv hanging in the wall. The unit was serviced daily and even our coffee, drinking chocolate and milk were replenished everyday. When you stay 4 nights like we did, this saves you buying, milk and coffee etc. Towels could be changed daily but we chose not to, we don’t wash them everyday at home either.

There’s is nothing I can think of I didn’t like

The location was great, the rooms were well appointed and lovely and clean with a nice modern feel. We had a great room however, this was away from the road. Other family members complained that the road noise kept them awake.

Thinking that better sound proofing of the roads closest the road would be helpful although not sure how you would manage that without further window glazing.

The room is dang spacious! Very clean and neatly tidied up with all needed facilities. It was a very cold night when we checked in. The staff waited for us till 8pm to help us out. Came to surprise when we enter the room, he had turned on the heater for us already. Unfortunately we didn't get to remember his name. That action comforts us alot. Big thank you!!

Nothing really that we don't like. We left luggages at reception after we check out till late as we were exploring Christchurch, they allowed and assisted to keep for us. It was really helpful!

This apartment was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the night I spent here. The apartment was very spacious, located on the ground floor, and conveniently close to my free parking spot. The kitchenette was excellent, equipped with everything needed to prepare quick meals. The location is very accessible, close to Hagley Park and the city center.

I can’t really think of anything negative. The bathroom was a bit small, but it wasn’t much of an issue.

This was a last minute stop for us on our driving holiday of New Zealand. Location was excellent, you can walk to Westfield Riccarton in 10 minutes, as well as many food options along Riccarton Road. The rooms were enormous and super comfortable.

As this is a refurbished motel, the second level is accessed via stairs so anyone with mobility issues would need to stay on the ground level. Also the rooms are very loud, we had some kids next door to us and above our other family members who partied all night long. The shower was also very average, however for a quick overnight stay, I would book again.

Property manager, Richard, helped in every way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Problem with wifi? No problem - fixed in a jiffy. Need room to be tidied? Every day servicing with a smile. Need a brolli? At your service - and All Blacks colors to boot! In summary, he and staff couldn't be more helpful, courteous, and accommodating.. And the location is the best for walking or tramming the heart of Christchurch - coffee shops, restaurants, CBD and let's not forget the namesake park with it's wondrous gardens, playgrounds and clean lakes - everything invitingly close by. All-in-all the Carnmore Hagley Park is every bit the real deal.

The room was excellent, layout of furniture a bit funny with the sofa at right angles to the tv but nothing a little furniture re arranging cold not fix. Plenty of space and wonderful water pressure for the shower, something many motels dont have.

The room was at the front of the motel on Riccarton road and in the early evening was quite noisy, but it was quiet after about 10pm and had not got noisy before I left at 8.30am. Not many restaurants in the area that are not Thai or Indian

Liked the bedding structure for 3 (2 kids & 1 adult). Liked kitchen facilities, having a microwave & jug, sachets of hot chocolate etc. Good there was a separate toilet. Liked how the tv was able to be pulled out from the wall & you could sign into streaming channels. Liked the idea of the shampoo & conditioner & moisturiser dispensers in the shower.

The shower head sprayed. The toilet door didn’t catch when shutting & if left open swung towards you. The bathroom soap dispenser didn’t work. It seemed like dispensers, including the dishwashing liquid was watered down.

Great location, great price and great room. The room was huge and a bonus having a kichenette. Really happy with my stay. I would 100% stay here again and will always look for Carnmore first now.

There was a loud shaking/rattle noise when i think the room next to me was showering. It gave me a fright but only happened twice when i was there.
