The location was perfect as we were doing the Christchurch marathon the next day. we could walk straight across the road from the motel to Hagley park. Sky TV channels were good to have as all the movie channels were available. Shower had good pressure and water was a good temperature. Roof car park access meant we could park the car close to where our room was Plenty of room to sit on the couch with extra chairs to sit on, and a table and chairs for dining

Had to go and ask for a plug for the bath - it technically is a hot tub with the jets, but it's only the size of a bath so not for 2 people. TV could be bigger and centred in the room more. Maybe have some additional large bowls in the kitchen for making a salad etc... Drains smell a bit so could do with a deep ckean

After a few hours on the road, I arrived at the hotel wondering… “Wait, is there no reception here?” A couple of loops around later, I spotted the parking area right at the back — where the reception was hiding all along. Check-in was quick and easy (in fact, so quick I almost had time to re-park the car in the lot next door — just kidding!). The room was huge, spotless, and comfortable. There was a mysterious noise that I never managed to figure out — maybe it depends on the room, maybe it’s part of the charm. When hunger struck, I discovered there’s a restaurant right in the building serving delicious Korean burgers and some of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. Back to the room, I half-heartedly tried solving the mystery noise again… but the comfy bed and fresh linens won. Overall, a great balance between quality and price — and a stay full of little surprises.

The staff were friendly and very helpful especially as we had a late arrival and early morning check out. The rooms were large and spacious, plenty of space to stretch out and repack our bags. The hotel is in a good location right across from Hagley Park with 2 restaurants underneath, a convenience store nearby and other restaurants, bars and a fuel station. Parking is easy too.

I had seen somewhere online that the hotel was 4 star. I wouldn't describe it as so but I did find it comfortable and it perfectly suited our needs. The hotel lacks a 24 hour staffed reception but someone is always on call. There isn't a hotel bar or restaurant but there are options available nearby. Being located on the junction of 2 roads did mean that there was a bit of road noise but this didn't prevent us from sleeping during the night.

Enjoyed the location.

Despite there being plenty of vacant spots on the ground floor, first, and second floors, guests were only allowed to park on the rooftop. This made parking unnecessarily complicated, especially considering the available space below. Additionally, the drive-through connecting E, F, and G was extremely narrow, making navigation tricky, particularly for larger vehicles. Aside from these minor issues, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The accommodation provided great comfort, and I would consider returning if these parking concerns were addressed.

This was our second stay at Parkview on Hagley in one week. We arrived late at night but easily found our key and were pleasantly surprised that our bags that we left with reception had been placed in the room for us. The room was spacious, with a little kitchen area, a large comfortable bed and a sofa. The bathroom had a walk in shower and a bath. We didn't partake in breakfast on this occasion as we had an early start the next day.

This room was a bit more overlooked by neighbouring properties. It did have thick curtains but we felt that it would have benefitted from net curtains (or similar) during the day.

Well set up rooms with everything you need. Modern linen and decor. Plenty of plugs and USB charging ports bedside. Balcony with awesome views of park and mountains. Daily service and spa bath were that touch of luxury. All Sky channels. Private parking. Monster Chicken downstairs and other eateries plus sports bar and 24/7 dairy within 2 minutes walk. Double glazing cut out all the street noise and we had the best sleep of our entire trip here.

Shower would have been awesome if it had a little more pressure.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was an excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The check-in process was smooth, and they even provided a helpful map of the area. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with modern amenities like a large flat-screen TV, comfortable bed, and a beautiful view of the park.

There were only a couple of minor issues. The Wi-Fi was occasionally slow, and the temperature control in the room took a little time to adjust to the perfect setting.

Lovely being so close to the park, had a nice evening walk before something to eat, easy walking distance to a good choice of eateries. Very quite from after rush hour, and liked people watching from our balcony 😁 room was spotlessly clean. Just what we expected

No body wash in the shower, so had to reach out and use the stuff next to the basin. Only 2 coffees in the kitchen. And a interesting thing happened to our room TV, when we were watching it, it hooked into our neighbors search, which was alittle x-rated for what we were watching. Funny to see what others a watching

The room was large, warm and comfortable and actually great value for our money. It had all the amenities one can expect in a nice hotel, and pleasant staff that were welcoming and hospitable.

The only thing that let this facility down was the parking lot. It was full of graffiti ,and rubbish was littered everywhere ,giving an insecure feeling where we left our vehicle. If this was tidied up, the hotel would have a 10 star rating from me, as everything inside including the staff and facilities was immaculate.

Large room, full efficiency with microwave, refrigerator and hot water kettle. Laundry availability right down the hall. Bathroom is large great shower with a tub with jets in it. A towel heater on the wall and air conditioning in the room. Good position near a couple of good restaurants as well as a huge park

I thought I was coming to a an expensive local namebrand hotel and I was glad that it was more like apartment efficiencies. You could stay here quite a while and take care of things if you needed to. Don’t really have negative comments.
