Bed was comfortable, I don't sleep well in a lot of accommodation beds, but I slept well in this one. Room was of decent size so plenty of space and additional heating in the cupboard is very proactive as the wall heater really is not enough for the space. Location is fine, not too central but, the convenient bus route right outside makes up for that.

1. The advertised Check-In time was displayed as 10pm, I'm glad I made contact around 7pm to advise we won't be there until around 9pm as we received a response that the reception is closed from 6:30pm. However they advised the room number and that they left the room open with the key there. I wonder if I would have been told of this had I not got in touch? I would have expected reception to be available up until the advertised Check-In time or at least been provided the service of letting us know otherwise. 2. The tv remote barely worked - I gave up frustrated with it, likely needed replacement batteries but I see they don't want guests tampering with that as the battery compartment on the back is taped up.

They were able to provide a ground floor room for my Mum (the person who this was booked for) as she has limited mobility. Location was close to bus routes, food and shopping. Easy to get around town. Room was comfortable and clean

The shower had a bit of a lip to get over vs a flat/disabled friendly no lip design. It was only small so it was able to be got over.

This is a fantastic little place to stay. It has had some renovations done & is coming on great guns. The room was very clean & tidy & had everything you would need. It's only minutes away from the hospital. Garry the Manager is just an unbelievably good host. Nothing was too much trouble & he went over & above the norm to make sure we had everything & were comfortable. Excellent value for the price. Yes we will stay again. Thank you Garry. Didn't dislike anything. All was good. Renovations are going well.

All was excellent

I love that the staff were very accommodating, and responded fast even on-site. We needed cooking ware like pots, and they were quick to reply and deliver. Very happy with my stay here and I'd definitely stay again in the future.

Just that there were no pots, bur because we got a quick response i dont find anything wrong at all here.

Super friendly owner and staff. Good location. Good pressure shower.

Some car parks were so tight and tricky. We came back to the motel late night and the only available car park was difficult to enter and exit. There were parks available outside the hotel on Riccarton road but were quite risky and felt unsafe. If you are confident with parking in difficult parks this will not be a problem.

Service on arrival was very friendly. The place was easy to get to. Very modern tiled bathroom. Bed was comfy.

Upon opening the door to the room, I walked right into the couch which was covered/hidden by the curtain. Perhaps the couch should have been on the opposite side of the room and the tv positioned where the couch is so it isn't sticking out into the doorway so much. Toilet paper was not the greatest either. Why can all hotels have normal toilet paper we use at home.

Very central and rooms were modern and tidy. Host has Netflix available in every room so no need to log in with your own account.

The wifi is free but very slow, unsure if it’s even fibre which meant that sometimes you couldn’t stream the provided Netflix.

The Bed was comfy, the room had a fairly large TV and the shower was very nice. It also had a nice (but small) table for me to work on while i was there

Occasionally there was a strong smell coming from the shower drain, however simply turning on the ventilation soon got rid of it

What a wonderful stay we had. The room and facilities were excellent, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Great location, close to shops and a lovely walk over to Hagley Park.

Nothing - everything was superb!
