I love this hotel. It's small, informal and very welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. It's on a very quiet street, away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, but close enough that they are easily reached. The staff are friendly and helpful and they make their guests feel valued as people, rather than simply customers. If I were ever to return to Zagreb, I would be very happy to stay here again.

The hot water could have been a little hotter. I wasn't keen on the coffee from the machine at breakfast.

The location is nice, the hotel is spacious. The room meets key things: spacious, mostly clean, windows that open and an AC. All you need. Breakfast is no highlight, but there is some variety and good coffee.

The late check in was frustrating. The hotel placed my keycard in a lockbox but it didn’t open the door. I had to call several people to get in. In the end somebody came within 10min, which was ok. Late check out is the cost of a full night…

Location is very good, close to tram station, 3 tram stations to the main Jelačić Square. Even by foot its a nice walk around 15 minutes. Very clean rooms, spacious, with everything you need for short and even longer stay. The Hotel is in the quite street so there is no any disturbing sounds from the street and the windows are also good, soundproof.

Everything is really excellent. One small thing : maybe curtains could be darker, they are light colored so they let in the light in the morning.

The quality of the food was both exellent and well-made, the location of the Hotel Croatia was remarkable, mainly because it was very quiet at night and very accessible in the city centre.

I had aIready paid a huge amount of money in the hotel and i did not like the fact that i was extra charged because of the taxes i had to pay in the hotel. I would be more fond of this hotel if it was free of taxes.

The best thing about Hotel Croatia is its location, since it is just a walk away from the centre of Zagreb. There is also a bus station nearby, which provides access to multiple places within Zagreb in just a few minutes. The staff were very friendly, and the room was large and spacious when compared to other hotels. I would definitely recommend this hotel for young couples like ourselves, who are looking for a good and clean hotel at a very reasonable price, while also being in a very good location.

Sometimes, we went down for breakfast a bit later on in the morning, and most of the freshly-cooked food (e.g. sausages, fried eggs) would have already been eaten, and they were not replenished.

From the get-go, this family-owned hotel in the City Center of Zagreb struck the right chord with me. Perfectly placed, with the tram just around the corner, it made my commutes a breeze. But it's not just the prime spot that makes this place a winner. The family touch is evident – it's one of those places where you're treated less like a guest and more like an old friend dropping by. The convenience of being in the heart of the city, combined with their warm hospitality, really made my stay memorable. This isn't some cookie-cutter hotel; it's a genuine experience of Croatian warmth.

If I had to nitpick, I'd say maybe they could ramp up their breakfast spread a bit, add a few more local items to the menu. But honestly, that's just looking for something to critique in an otherwise top-notch stay.

The best thing about the hotel is its location. Just 200m from a supermarket and a tram stop. The tram takes you right to the city centre, bus or train station within a quarter of an hour. The room and the bathroom are spacious. Breakfasts are also not bad. Besides, the staff is very friendly and the hotel has its own bar with a wide choice of drinks.

Indeed, there is nothing I could complain about. Maybe some pieces of furniture could be a bit refreshed, but at the same time it gives the feeling of cosiness and makes you feel at home.

Hotel Croatia is a friendly place. Easy to reach from the main train station. It is conveniently located near a tram station where many lines come through. The hotel is placed in a more quiet side street. I had a window to the backyard. Very quite, many birds and wild gardens. Near the hotel is a very nice little bakery with very good bread and stuff. There are other shops and restaurants. The hotel itself offers a little bar until around 22pm.

A water cooker would have been wonderful. Everything else is better than expected.

Room was clean, well laid out, comfortable. Breakfast was rather limited in choices but sufficient, location was great with quick tram service to the city center just around the corner

Perhaps better window curtains to block morning daylight!
