The lovely lady allowed us to check in early and showed us to our room. She went out of her way to get a bed guard for my young daughter at my request and was overall helpful and friendly. The bed was SO comfortable- I was so shocked! The bedroom was big and spacious, and the bathroom had a bath which we weren’t expecting so we dived into that on night 1. Beautiful scenes from our window of a beautiful floral filled field.

Little to no food available. There’s a fridge which was super handy but, unless you like Indian food (which is on the same grounds as the lodge) there’s basically nothing to order in for dinner (Uber eats etc all had nothing in them). There’s some pubs a short drive away but I didn’t want to sit in a pub with my 4 year old so we had chips and naan bread from the Indian on the first night, second night we just ate fruit and crisps that we had packed for the drive! On our second night we had super noisy neighbours (that or the walls are super thin? I’m not sure). It sounded like their TV was basically in the room with us and they kept stomping up and down the hallway at 11pm (not late for most but for us, a mother and 4 year old, it was really disturbing).

The checking in and out process was easy, friendly reception from staff. The property was easy to locate and had on site parking. Location was good, plenty of places to eat near by and not far from local walking paths. The room was a good size, we had a nice view of a field. Great that there was a small fridge in the room to keep our drinks/lunch cool ready for our walk the next day.

The only thing with the property is the walls are thin you can hear other guests talking in their room and if you happen to be upstairs you can hear every movement made from the floor above.

The property was a perfect location for peppa pig world, it has a lovely Indian and local pub for amazing food next door and close by, recommended to us on check in, had a portable air con which was perfect in this heat, everything was self explanatory and property was very clean and tidy, beds were comfy and staff very friendly and would recommend this property.

There was a very noisy family above us, kids were allowed to run around and bang about, however this was absolutely no fault of the owners which is why this hasn’t affected our rating.

Extremely comfortable stay. Our room was nicely appointed with everything we needed for a one night stop over. The property is clean, tidy and great value for money. We were late on our estimated arrival time and I missed the text message instruction on how to get in - but the owner came to our rescue! Thank you!! Top Tip - There is an "In-Excess" garden centre a few hundred yards down the road that do a lovely freshly cooked breakfast for £8.95!

Great location, lovely big room which backed onto field, nice that tea, coffee and bottled water were provided, clean and had all the basics, staff were really communicative and all information provided was clear. Really nice and warm when we got there as heating had been left on for us which was really appreciated.

Paper thin walls, you could hear everything your neighbours were doing... The bed wasn't the comfiest.

Very lovely friendly staff especially on reception and the hotel for us is perfectly located for visiting family so ideal. The price is reasonable and the is a room nice size with a good bathroom. With the New Forest on your doorstep, Salisbury down the road and an Indian restaurant next door with off road parking it suits us well and we have stayed before and will again.

The spare bed is not a proper bed and it had 2 bars running through it with no support between them for the mattress so for anyone more then a young child it was uncomfortable- we used a second mattress on top to make it better. The rooms also get quite hot and with out aircon you have to open a window but the road noise is loud.

The room was nicely decorated and clean, the beds were comfortable, both rooms had a bath, bliss. The lady who let us in was very nice, helpful and welcoming. The WiFi was good and the Indian restaurant next door was excellent and good value for money. There's a very nice garden centre just down the road where you can get a good value breakfast from 9am.

very clean and comfortable. All facilities provided to cook toast or microwave meals. Plates and cutlery also supplied. Room has a fridge and tea making facilities. Although on a very busy road you could not hear it in our room. With in walking distance to a lovely and very friendly pub. Only about 2 min walk. Also a great garden centre about 5 mins drive away with a Lovely cafe and very friendly staff as well as great food.

We booked the loft apartment as there should have been six of us. Ended up just the two of us. Beautiful area, easy access to all areas of the forest. The apartment had plenty of towels, pots, pans, crockery etc. Water and milk in the fridge, plenty of tea and coffee etc. Beautifully decorated, staff lovely and it was nice and quiet. Just an overall nice place

If you're tall, watch your head in certain areas. To be expected with a loft apartment, though. No blinds/curtains/nets in bathrooms. Very conscious that the neighbouring house could see in. The windows are angled upwards but we could see there windows and yard etc clearly so was conscious they could see us

Lovely and clean plenty of hot water! helpful friendly staff. Really handy fridge in room great when you travel with kids who always need a snack. Lovely curry house next door that we ate in the lodge lobby plates and cutlery provided by lodge. Perfect location for the places we wanted to visit we have been twice and booked again for next year already! Highly recommend

Loud people in the hallway and in the room next to ours or above we couldn’t tell shouting till gone midnight. Room next door smoking out thier window and the smoke coming into our room was horrible. Not a reflection of the lodge itself more inconsiderate people
