Reception is not good enough, no juice and water for welcoming, no enough good attitude and service when checking out.

Absolutely outstanding buffet breakfast with more choice than you could imagine! (6 types of honey!), omelette and pancake chefs. Loads of outdoor seating options. Ability to walk to Royal Livingstone Hotel and to dine there. Proximity to Victoria Falls and back gate checkout to do so. Zebra, impala, vervet monkeys roaming. Bird hide. Beautiful pool. Reception lent us adaptor plugs. Special excursion organising desk at reception. Tribal greeting. Really hospitable staff

Karaoke by the pool on the first night (Sunday), largely by staff members, completely ruined our dining experience. We weren't aware that there would be such 'entertainment' and it's really not our style. The floors in the rooms are bare, so it was a little chilly at night. Some slippers would've been a nice touch.

Over priced by booking.com. Our colleagues who booked directly with the hotel paid only 600 dollars for 6 nights. We felt robbed!!!

great location with easy access to the Victoria Falls. good for kids with a decent size pool, kids menu and wildlife on site. Staff are super friendly. amazing breakfast

rooms were pretty small and mosquito nets not adequate. the beds in the family room were too small for two adults to share and just about Ok for us with a 6 year old. the adult food menu could have been a bit more varied. the in house tour operator wouldn't take a 6 year old into Chobe, so we had to organise a trip via a different operator. given that it's a family friendly hotel, it would be good to have Chobe as an option.

Neat and tidy. Animals all around. Food fairly priced. Drinks are not worth it. Overpriced. Staff are friendly and always willing to assist. A great welcome we had which made us feel happy and calm. Access to falls is free.

The breakfasts were average to say the least. Not sure if it's a country thing but the salt was less in absolutely everything. Rooms are very small. Even our family room hardly any space to move around so bare that in mind. Any transfers and taxis and overpriced ridiculously!!! Be prepared! Seriously, you not ready for the cost to travel.

Proximity to Victoria Falls, the staff, the surroundings and the price of everything once you were there. Nice to have a craft village adjacent to the hotel so you could pick up a very wide selection of beautifully crafted objects just a short walk from the back of the hotel. The food was from a smallish menu, but was excellent and excellent value.

The air conditioning was temperamental, and didn't always provide the cooling 42 degree heat demanded. Rooms were expensive but, I guess, they reflected the hotel's proximity to the main attraction!

Location was very close to the Victoria Falls, easy walking distance. The restaurant staff especially Trebby and Chewe were very friendly and helpful. Chewe was cooking beautiful omelettes for guests every morning with a kind word and manner. Trebby gave excellent advice on things to do including a full day Chobe National Park safari and African Queen sunset boat cruise, plus her pleasant nature every morning was such a welcome.

Avani is the most spectacular lodge in Zambia/Victoria Falls ..there are wild zebra and giraffes that roam the property and drink out of the pool ..they have so many activities to offer the guest ..you can book one day safari’s from the hotel and a rhino walk with the anti poaching unit ..incredible friendly staff very helpful ..best breakfast buffet in Zambia

This lodge is an older property some things could use an update but most people don’t care you want this experience..it’s incredible, if you like upscale and fancy they have the Royal Livingston resort on the property on the Zambezi River but it’s triple the price

The location is fantastic. So close to the falls & free unlimited entry. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Loved the animals wandering around the hotel grounds. Livingstone Adventures tour desk onsite makes it very easy to book activities. Highly recommend the game drive/rhino walk & the Elephant Cafe. Once in a lifetime experience.

The beds are very hard. Shower isn’t great & bathroom was tired and could do with a revamp.

The property is beautiful and spacious with great facilities. We went for a weekend for my 43rd birthday and we had a fabulous time. The staff were very attentive, the evening entertainment (a local singer) was exceptional and a lot of fun. It is so close to the Falls we took a few trips over the weekend. Finally the wild animals roaming around (giraffe, zebras, impala and the baboons at the Falls) were mind blowing. Also the small shop on the hotel property was reasonably priced with a very attentive woman running it.
