Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to ensure we had everything we needed (extra lamp & hair dryer etc). We ate in the restaurant which served authentic Italian cuisine which was amongst the best we’ve ever had! Great menu, portions were fabulous & tasted amazing! Again the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was fabulous. Again a great range, something for everyone & the traditional cooked breakfast was excellent especially the beautifully cooked poached eggs!!!! The room was clean & both the bedroom & bathroom was large & spacious. The bed itself was beautifully made up & very comfortable & we were able to adjust the temperature in the room so we were nice & warm. I personally like the fact the rooms are all at ground level as I have mobility issues & they’re slightly away from the restaurant & so we’re nice & quiet. There’s also plenty of car parking and electric charging station for cars if you need it.

The only slightly downside is it’s slightly tired. It could do with a lick of paint but I’m being really picky and it wouldn’t stop me recommending a stay here!

The location is quiet and attractive, despite being on the edge of a major city. There are lovely little gardens and a lot of flowers. The breakfast is brilliant and there is a lot of choice. The evening meals are great and there is an early bird special at very reasonable prices. The rooms are comfy and spacious, with all you need. The staff are lovely and will always go the extra mile for you, if you have any requests. I have stayed there multiple times and never been disappointed

The only thing that can be an issue is the guest wifi, which does not have great coverage in all the rooms. Not a major issue, but it would be nice to have a reliable signal

The hotel was as lovely and welcoming as it was the last time we stayed, with comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and really good gluten free options. We had no issues with the property.

The staff were generally great, BUT, whilst we built a rapport with everyone (including the lady I'm about to describe), and they were very helpful, there was one particular lass who was helptul one minute and making a sarcastic comment the next. We were unsure if we were a welcome party or an inconvenience at some points. She maybe needs to work on that. We were the ones making the extra effort not to upset her.

Clean extremely comfortable room. Tea and coffee facilities supplied. Breakfast delicious and cooked to order also lots of other options to choose from. Staff very friendly and helpful as are the owners. On my last day they kindly extended my stay until I could leave for the airport because of the snow. Dogs are allowed at this hotel but they keep two rooms where there have been no dogs. I have stayed here many times and each room is uniquely individual as are the bathrooms (some have baths some just showers). The restaurant serves a varied menu and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this small establishment as I cannot fault the service and accommodation.

Make sure you turn the shower on a good few minutes beforehand as it can take a while for the hot water to come through but unlimited once it does and nice and hot.

Everything, from the friendly welcome, storing our gear because we arrived early, comfort, outside furniture and inside, brilliant food, both in the evening and breakfast, great rooms, clean , spacious, amazingly comfortable beds, (if a little low for us less athletic types)😁 and fantastic showers. The prices were very reasonable, we were blown away by the place and will stay again if in the area.

Nothing, You have fantastic staff and a well thought out place. We've toured on our motorcycles a lot, and stayed in many places, yours is at the top of the list.

Friendly member of staff on arrival, good location for bus (bus stop right outside place) which took us straight into Newcastle. Clean and practical rooms. I was staying with my daughter and her friend and we drove down from Fife to spend sat/sunday in Newcastle, visit Angel of North and metro centre. This place was great for the one night we stayed.

Found the key to main door stuck a few times - could be just us doing something wrong on unlocking, didn’t mention it as we got it unlocked so not an issue.

This friendly family run business is always such a good place to stay for us when visiting family in the area. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and so.e recognise us from previous visits, even though it may be some time since our last visit. The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant and bar are always busy because the food is of a good standard and selection....all staff in these areas are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We'll be back to stay when in the area.

Nothing to dislike for us.

We had an amazing stay at Michelangelos. The room was immaculately clean and fresh and a generous size. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely and quiet and backing onto a garden which was perfect as we had our dogs with us. We had the early bird menu. The pizzas were divine and my husband loved his Minestrone soup starter. It was all excellent value for money. The veggie breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had and generous portions. Can’t wait to visit again next week.
