I normally do not start any review talking about the staff as all staff should be great at a hotel. The staff however at this hotel were the main reasons I am writing this review, as they were so relaxed and friendly - each one we encountered and spoke with from checkin to checkout. The hotel was not very populated as it changed name recently but it was very clean, relaxed and the room was very comfortable. I really enjoyed the stay there. Location was perfect for us, it was right next to the tram and a 10 min walk from the train station where we came and left from. The area is nearby the river as well, its a great place to stay overall and I can only highly recommend it. Apart from that, WIFI, comfortable bed, great shower - it had everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had all the basic amenities you might need, including a coffee machine, mini fridge and even basic cutlery for longer stays. The cleaning was not perfect but okay. The balcony was beautiful. Beds were comfortable. The hotel is within walking or very short commute distance to anything you would want to do in Cologne. Check in and check out are swift. They help you with storing your bags for a few hours after checking out.

Attention to detail: some surfaces in the room which you don't think about at the first look, like the top of the hanging tv, were quite dusty. While general cleaning was ok, it could be a bit more thorough.

Great location. The train station and many other tourist spots are within walking distance. Walking from the train station to the hotel, you can feel the dynamic vibe of the old city, but once in the hotel you're away from the crowds of tourists, where you can enjoy the serenity of the neighborhood. The staff are nice and friendly, particularly the gentleman at the reception desk, who provided us with a lot of useful information. He even hleped us book an Uber car so that we were able to catch the bus and continued our journey successfully. Highly recommend!

Location was great! Short walk (15 minutes) from main train station. Would not call this a "romantic" hotel; however, location was great, friendly people at front desk, small but efficient room. I didn't spend much time in my room except to sleep. Other reviews said that the beds are firm. They are, in fact, firm but I really like a firm bed so that was great for me. Very close to town square with good restaurants and bier halls!

Shower was a little slow to drain (room 407), but not bad enough to call front desk.

We spent 4 nights here in December to explore Cologne and visit the christmas markets and our stay was excellent! Staff were very friendly and spoke great English. Our beds only had one pillow each, so we requested extra pillows from reception which were brought to our room straight away! Nothing was too much to ask. Our room was immaculate and was well equipped with a microwave, fridge (with snacks and drinks), plates and silverware. Hotel was in a good location with Heumarkt tram station just across the road, so has great transport links. Overall was an excellent stay, and would 100% return again! Thank you for having us :)

Mattresses were a bit hard, but I guess this is personal preference!

After a detailed search prior to our departute, I decided on B´Chill due to several logistic reasons such as its central place, balcony, kettle. etc. I am very happy to have booked this hotel as we had a very convenient stay of three nights. The hotel personnel is extremely helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Mr. Zahin who paid such a great attention to details starting from the initial reservation step where he booked a room right accross the elevator so that my mom (78 yrs old) did not have to walk long way to the room. Most of the nearby hotels were said to be cold where our room at B Chill was as warm as our own home. If I am back in Koln, I will definitely stay here again,,,

We had a deluxe double with balcony, the bed was comfortable memory foam mattress, the bathroom had a clear window with a curtain for privacy this was enough as we are a couple. Powerful shower with hair and shower gel and the balcony was great. The front desk service was very welcoming and offered useful information on local eats. Service was with a genuine smile. The location was excellent for Heinzels Christmas market and a short walk to the Lint Chocolate museum, the riverside and the cathedral, and shopping area. For those of you that lime beer there is a brau house more or less opposite next to Athena and a good variety of restaurants round the corner.

We had a balcony room on the 5th (top) floor, which was perfect for what we needed! We came for the Christmas markets so only stayed 2 nights, but the room had everything we needed including drinks in the fridge and a coffee machine. There was also a microwave, plates and cutlery. The shower is a rainfall shower with excellent pressure, and plenty of toilet rolls! The staff were very friendly, and very happy to help. Good central location, but far enough out (about a 15 min walk from the cathedral) that you didn’t get woken up but people outside.

We struggled slightly with the aircon and eventually gave up, but we’re presuming that’s user error!

After a tiring journey to Köln (DB Bahn is not what it used to be), we arrived at B-Chill which was an easy walk from the main train station. The gentleman on reception (I’m afraid we never got his name) was very friendly, suggested an itinerary for our two full days, gave us a map and us check in early which was much appreciated. We were in room 505 on the fifth floor. The lift is fast and efficient. Our room was a good size with a little kitchen area with a little sink, a coffee machine and a microwave (no hot plate). There was also a fridge with some minibar items in but you could also use it to store your own items. There’s a desk and chair and open wardrobe, as you normally get but the desk was a good size. The TV was wall mounted and had all the various streaming apps that you could use your own log in for. The bed was comfortable (the TV faced it so you could watch TV in bed if that’s your thing) with thoughtfully planed charging sockets. But this room has two main selling points. One is the bathroom which is of course en-suite and is just lovely. It’s a very modern bathroom with a huge open shower and dual shower heads (a good rainfall showerhead fixed for the ceiling and a handheld shower head), and a lovely sink. It was spotlessly clean. Secondly was the balcony - the photos are a day and evening view from it looking left. B-Chill is in a more residential area of Köln but you’re maybe a three minute walk from the nearest restaurant, and although the balcony looked over a road, it was a nice road and at the fifth floor height little road noise reached it. It was a lovely place to sit out after a busy day. The chairs were comfortable and the table was the right height too. If you decide to come to Köln, we’d definitely recommend staying here.

There was nothing we didn’t like. The wi-fi was a little intermittent but this was on a Sunday evening and my guess is that a lot of other people were using it. It wasn’t enough of a bother to mention it to the receptionist but I’m sure if we had they’d have looked to fix it. The 5G signal we had on our UK SIM cards was fine.
