We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as I am gluten free and made my own. Location was great and close to the beach.

Bathroom was very clean but decor could be upgraded.

Great room, wonderfully hot and powerful shower. Superb balcony and view. Excellent pool and pool area. Excellent location. Great breakfast. Great music playing during the day. Decent, large pool towels.

The wifi signal was very poor - unable to use a laptop, and the wifi signal kept dropping from my phone. The bar was not open in the evenings. Not a great hardship, admittedly, but we did think it would be nice to sit in the bar area, with a glass of wine, and music playing. There were 'double bed' sun loungers on an upper part of the pool terrace. These were not used at all, because you had to pay to use them. It seemed a waste of space, when the regular loungers (which all had cushions) were so comfortable. Why not make the double loungers free, or put more regular loungers in the space instead?

This is the 6th time we have stayed at this hotel. The location is perfect for us as self catering. The staff are fantastic especially reception day or night and the ladies who service the room. The room is large with a good size balcony and from the 6th floor, the views are spectacular. The area is quiet but still close to amenities.

The hotel is showing signs or wear, looking a little tired. some décor and bathroom fittings were in need of a change. The pool area is ok but poolside tables, sunbeds and the pre swim showers were not cleaned during our stay and would have benefited from a clean and disinfect. Some of the poolside light covers were broken. Whilst this did not distract from our stay, it would have improved it.

I have been a number of times for short stays only. Always enjoy my stay, view from my room as always was terrific Rooms are definitely showing their age but always very clean Breakfast buffet is always good, Spanish omelette this time was exceptional Juan the lifeguard/pool attendant was delightful and very attentive and helpful

Wi-Fi is the worst I have experienced anywhere in the world! It has always been very poor but this time was totally unusable Customers will not return simply due to this shortcoming.

We stayed in apartament close to beach. I liked the place and would stayed longer if possible. Beds were OK, there is also a small kitchenette with electric kettle, microwave, fridge and coffee maker, you can also cook some dinner there. Breakfast was plenty choice, fresh orange juice is a big plus and many breakfast options to choose from. Location walking distance to the beach. The water in pool was cold when we stayed but I suppose this is the case in most places in GC in the winter period.

Please improve your coffee, as it is not tasty. This is the only thing we didn't like about the place 😊

Liked - Quiet location with plenty of bars & restaurants close by. Comfortable, clean & spacious bright rooms with a sea view. Good aparthotel facilities, powerful shower and toiletries. Regular bus service along the coast and to the airport. Supermarkets, beaches and the scenic coastal promenade nearby. Excellent high quality breakfast with plenty of choice. Relaxing pool area with sufficient sun loungers. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Nothing to dislike just like our last visit.

Hotel New Folias is a very conveniently located for anyone wishing to explore the south part of the island. While San Augustin/Maspalomas area is know to be rather touristy and nightlife oriented it is also a great base for car-aided travels to some fantastic hiking destinations which are under 1h away from here (guigui/tamadaba/tejeda areas). If you are planning this type of holidays, this hotel is definitely worth considering, as it is well connected, with many amenities around and a helpful staff to aid your stay (it has been mentioned in other reviews - the cleaning staff are especially good and flexible). All at a very good price. Would definitely return again, especially knowing the below info...

Despite being told the parking is scarce and far away we decided not to book private parking, and eventually there happened to be lot of free parking spots around available. While it can be helpful for less abled and in high season, the private parking does not seem to be necessary, and communication/info regarding it could be clearer. Would be also better if filter coffee machine could come with actual filters or there would be a coffee pot.

I enjoyed a very relaxing week at New Folias. There is a really nice beach a five minute walk away, and the main commercial centre is very close by. The staff were very pleasant, and always available to help. My room was was very clean and comfortable, with a nice sea view from the balcony. There is a public bus service (number 66 and 90) which can take you to and from the airport, and stops near to Hotel New Folias. (I paid €3.50 from airport to hotel and the same when leaving).

I loved the views from my room, I could see the sand dunes from my balcony. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was generous. The room was being cleaned daily and it was possible to cook in the kitchenette.

The shower room was a bit outdated and could do with new flooring. I think that security should be increased and the door that leads to the street from the pool should be locked and opened with a fob or key to avoid people from outside the hotel accessing the area.
