It was a first for us to stay in a hotel where there are no concierge and communication was through email in booking.com. It was conveniently located near the bus station, convenience stores and restaurants. The place was clean, warm, complete basic kitchen and tv.

At first we were confused why there were ear plugs provided in our room. Turns out, there is a karaoke room near our bedroom window. We stayed over the weekend and we can hear what customers were belting out at 2am. Also, we rented one of the lockers which unfortunately did not unlock to open. We reached-out to the number provided in the instructions and from the email thread in booking.com but no reply. It was the prepaid locked located at the entrance of the property.

Such a beautiful apartment, ideally located, and thoughtfully equipped! It exceeded my expectations in almost every regard. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfy. The real-wood floors, doors and furniture were exquisite! And the corner location with windows to two sides and a view upon the mountains as well as the buzzing street are a genuine treat. I will come back for sure!

The large, old windows are beautiful, but they do not insulate much against the cold, nor the noises from the street. Thankfully, the heating works very well and earplugs are provided.

Very central. Flat was a bit small, but big enough for the purpose and quite clean. Cutleries, Dishes and soap & shampoo were provided. We had no problem with noise, but we had the windows closed throughout and few people were partying.

We had no problem, but the lack of an elevator would be an issue for anyone who’s not very mobile. I was also a bit confused where to find the bedsheets for the couch (they were inside the couch) so a little note about that would have been nice so J need to think less. The bathroom was quite narrow, but big enough for the purpose. The table was a bit small - a second table or a larger one would have been nice.

The check-in procedure was easy and well explained. The apartment was nice. There are enough appliances. It was clean.

We had problem with the hot water in the shower - it was very hard to regulate the temperature - it went from cold to very hot. We explained that to the host and maybe it will be fixed. The other thing that we did not like is the noise from the outside - the apartment is located in the centre and there are a lot of noisy drunk people outside during the night (that is not the host's fault). Other than that we had a nice stay.

The property is located in the heart of Edinburgh. Just around the corner you’ll find the famous Royal Mile and other great Old Town spots. The facilities were super nice, clean and spacious. The host was incredibly welcoming and provided thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Also the cleaning staff that we met during our stay always offered help by refreshing the rooms or replace what’s missing. We didn’t need any of that but appreciated the gesture. We couldn’t be more happier with our stay at Mono Suites. :)

Other reviews pointed out the noise from the streets. This street is busy and there might be some noise but that’s what you sign up for by booking a place in the heart of Old town. Even being a light sleeper had no problems with the noise nor good night sleep. Btw there are even earplugs provided.

Ideally located in the Old Town, next to the Royal Mile, close to shops and tourist attractions. Very (very!) spacious appartment with all the necessary appliances for cooking, a nice lounge area and bathroom. Good communication with the team throughout.

They offer earplugs for a good reason - the suite was directly overlooking a very busy and noisy street. Though the pillows were comfortable, the bed was quite hard. There was mold in the shower. We also tried using their locker to keep our luggages on the day of our travels, but it didn't work even though we paid. But overall, it was a very lovely stay!

A truly stunning apartment finished to a very high standard and not only in an ideal location....it had everything you could possibly need. Well appointed kitchen including fridge freezer and microwave. Communication and assistance from the owner was excellent!!

A bit noisy....ear plugs were supplied but silly us only noticed them the following day. Would know next time! The sofa bed unfortunately was very uncomfortable which is a shame as everything else was first class. Don't let this put you off as it is ideal for a couple or solo traveller if only using the bedroom and not the sofa bed.

The location right next to the Royal Mile and near to many nice areas. Comfortable beds, compact but nice living area. Also compact bathroom but well-designed and clean. Surprisingly good for a small flat.

Be advised the prices tend to fluctuate from reasonable to what I consider to be exceedingly high given the type of property (man-less with no reception or staff). If you can get a reasonable price (below $200e) then I give it high marks but anything above and to me it’s not a good value. The other negative would be the noise which is in part to the location on a busy street, but perhaps better insulated windows might help keep the noise from the bedroom.

This was a clean spacious apartment, right in the heart of old town. It was well laid out and comfortable.

The bathrooms were clean but could have done with a grouting & silicone refresh. We were in unit 11. People had mentioned the noise but to be honest with earplugs in (as provided) it wasn’t a big deal for us. They also complained about the Bus Stop by the door, so pre warned this wasn’t an issue for us either. We were grateful to be on the first floor as our baggage was heavy. No lift is rather standard in this area of town so be prepared :-) All in all very happy.
