Great location walking distance to lake and village for shops, super accommodating staff (arrived early and was able to check in early) and super fun happy hour vibes!! Coffee in the morning was amazing, complementary parking was great, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean (heated & shampoo and conditioner smelt amazing) and I loved that the room could be made as warm or as cool as needed. Hotel was quiet around 9-10pm so I was able to get a good night sleep.

Nothing to complain about, the area is beautiful so I spent most of my time outside and when I did turn in I had a comfortable & clean place to sleep and freshen up and kind friendly people to help me at the front desk.

Was clean and very convenient to everything and stay were all friendly ! Only thing they need is more space I can't imagine being able to fit my snowboard or added winter gear in their rooms and they need more space and an iron in their rooms other than that it was a nice stay and they need to update their shower heads ours barely dripped on all their settings be for the price you pay they can afford to buy a $20 or even $80 shower head other than that was clean and a convenient stay .

They had s'mores, coffee and water available and the Lakeside Vouchers were an added plus !

We were met by very kind check in staff, who gave us some great suggestions for meals, and let us know how to get to the beach. The room itself was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. While we didn't make it, there were some on site activities in the evening like- s'mores by the firepit. But, we did walk to the beach. It was a short walk over to a great view for the sunset. The property was undergoing some renovations during our stay, but nothing that impacted our time there. We would recommend the spot for any travelers to Lake Tahoe. Very easy to walk or drive to restaurants, shops, and the beach.

We had a great experience and wouldn't change anything about our stay- expect that we'd have liked to be there longer!

The attention to detail and the feeling of community. There is a general area where people can gather to play games, make s’mores nightly (free), have free hot cocoa and tea. Fire pits outside and a heated pool/hot tub. The rooms were great.. the best part was the heated toilet seat! I also loved the makeup towels, the long bench and wall hooks for all our stuff.. the beds were comfy and very warm. Lots of families stayed here with their pets. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The location is awesome! Only a 6 minute walk to Heavenly Village.

Warm and feeling welcome here. Good choice for people who would like or not like to ski. I enjoy the comfort lobby and could always found a small place with nice wifi connection for vibing alone. They provided simple but nice meals for those who doesn't want to go out, there are several good restaurants near by tho. There is a kettle for heating up water in the room, also some good coffee and tea bags. Showers are nice and water is hot enough. Also they provided big one hairdryer so it's easy to get long hair dry in a short minutes.

The fireplace seems broke while my stays there, hope they could fixed it soon.

Definitely a great place to stay with the kid on a ski trip. He loved the heated pool, and hot tub. Bed was comfy and the room was quiet. It's close enough to walk to the Gondola, although it's a bit of a hike compared to some of the other hotels in the area.

Hot tub was comfy and big, but very soapy/bubbly, looks like it could have used a nice thorough draining / cleaning. This place has a nice price at the start of the ski season, but this place does get pretty expensive during the high season considering the relatively spartan rooms.

I stayed at The Coachman for nine nights and it was one of the best experiences I have had staying at a hotel. This is coming from someone who has been traveling for the last eight years to 28 different countries. The staff are super friendly and incredibly accommodating. My favorite parts of my day were hanging out in the lobby/bar area in the morning sipping on mimosas and eating breakfast before walking the short distance to the Gondola and in the evening after getting off the slopes enjoying a glass of wine and getting to know the staff and other guests. The hot tub and heated pool were a huge plus and we used them nearly every night to relax and unwind. The price and location cannot be beat with all of the great amenities that are provided. I really just wanted to move in by the end of my stay here. I would absolutely stay here again during my next visit to South Lake Tahoe!

Everything was great!

The hotel is in a great location, only a short 5 min walk to the Heavenly Gondola and other bars and restaurants. They have a great and very cozy reception and bar area as well as an outdoor fire pit. The room was well equipped and the area is nice a quiet if you're looking for a quiet nights sleep.

If I was being picky, slightly more water pressure in the shower would have been nice but not essential and the pool and hot tub area could have been a little tidier but again is was still pretty nice.

The suite was very roomy and the balcony was perfect for the snowy weather. The hotel was also extremely dog friendly which was perfect as we brought our little dachshund. There were so many other dogs around and it was great not feeling like a burden. The coffee lounge/lobby was super cute and perfect for either a morning coffee or happy hour glass of wine. They had a small game room and a separate dining room to eat.

Nothing, we loved everything!

Rooms were very clean, trendy and beds were very comfortable. Loved the bar/fire pit area and the communal gathering spaces. We also appreciated that it was extremely dog friendly! Staff were fantastic.

The property is made up of three different buildings. I can’t speak to all of the rooms in each building, but the building we were in must have been an old motel at one point. The walls were thin as paper. We could hear everything above us and in the room next to us.
