Very good location, less then 10 minutes walk from the Marienplatz, less then 5 minutes from the U Bahn. The sound of the church bells unobtrusive and turned off during the night :-) The room decoration corresponds 100% to the name of the hotel, new furnishings with plenty of storage space. Reception always staffed, friendly, helpful staff. Very low noise from the other hotel guests.

The breakfast ingredients (cheese, sausage, etc.) could be of better "Münchner" quality. The TV didn't work. Free Wi-fee a bit slow. The bathroom only has a ceiling shower without a hose, which makes showering difficult for small people like me.

The theme of this boutique hotel is just lovely. The amount of care and detail put into crafting a 1930s train theme sets this apart and makes this hotel a distinct entity unto itself. From the style of carpets that one might see aboard the Orient Express, to the wood panelling adorning the rooms that resemble luxury sleeper cars, this was a stunning hotel. Most of all, the staff were just wonderful and very friendly. They remembered me from my first stay and appreciated my return.

The hotel was positioned very centrally to Sendlingerstrasse and just seven minutes walk from Marienplatz. Once the road works are complete, access by Uber will be easier. However, the walk to the nearest Metro is just two minutes away.

Location was excellent - close to the main train station and starting point for various tours/day trips, but in a much quieter and calmer area, away from all the chaos of the immediate vicinity of the train station. Easy walk to the historic city center. Good value for money. Loved the design concept of bunk beds like a train car. Beds were comfortable and the shower was great (temp & water pressure).

Both the room & bathroom were pretty tight for 2 people, but that’s part of the experience of feeling like you’re in a train car. (I’m pretty sure the room and bathroom are actually larger than a real train car.) We didn’t get breakfast included, but we took a look at the buffet offering - not impressed with what they offered for the price.

The location is fantastic, right next to Sendlinger Tor, which is a hub of various means of public transportation and a lively shopping area. The room was small, but fine for one person, and best of all, very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The old-fashioned train decor was fun, too!

The housekeeping was a bit erratic. Some days they straightened up the room in the morning and other days after lunchtime, but the room was kept clean. The buffet breakfast was fine, but maybe a bit expensive for what you get.

The friendly and helpful staff made all the difference for me. While not a luxury hotel it did have everything I needed, it was very clean, and it offered a generous, leisurely breakfast for a modest price. Its location is quite convenient. I’m already planning to stay there again.

If the hotel could provide a small refrigerator and possibly a coffee maker in the room, that would be excellent. I was told coffee is available in the evening downstairs, but I don’t know until what time or whether there is a charge. I stayed in a budget room and the bathroom was a bit cramped; but again, it provided everything I needed.

The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The location is fantastic - very close to the old town.

The hotel seems to have an issue in how rooms are set up and sold on Booking. Two of us made reservations for 4 rooms for a few nights. Both of us had issues with the room bookings and the expected number of guests in the rooms (despite having children in the Booking search, they somehow got lost in the booking process). So both of us were asked to pay more money by the hotel for two of the 4 rooms we had booked. Prior to Munich we had stayed in two places in Italy and had no issues with our reservations through Booking - it was something only experienced in this hotel. An extra $230 was not a small additional cost to pay.

The location is good as it is within the center, & has a charming vibe & room has just the right size. It does not have a lot of modern facilities but has all the essentials of a hotel. Also the staff were great, especially Roland who checked me in late due to an issue with the initial hotel I was supposed to be in, also Pettina, Emre & Martin were all a delight to interact with & are very helpful & kind. They all made sure your needs are met.

The antiquated interiors but guess that is the theme of the hotel which is to resemble being inside a passenger train I guess in the 50s onwards, before the 2000s. Overall, staying here was worth it.

The location was perfect just 6 minutes from Marian platzI I really liked the warmth of the hotel. My room was spotlessly clean and quaint. The hot water in my room was excellent. Staff members were exceptionally welcoming and kind. They were helpful in the minutest detail.

I am gluten intolerant so some more consideration for us GF people would have been deeply appreciated. Staff did accomodated me in charging me for the 'petit dejeuner' which I appreciated.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful, particularly a new male staff member who working at reception in the evenings (didn’t get his name), who was really lovely! The hotel is very clean and the theme of the hotel is very quirky and fun.

There was no AC, which I’m sure would be fine for most of the year, but it was especially hot in my small room, especially in the bathroom as there is no ventilation. However, they do give you a bit fan in the room which helps a little.

I think that the location is ideal when staying in Munich for the first time. It's right on the edge of the beautiful and very walkable old town, but also right near other neighborhoods that have fun bars and restaurants. I saw a lot of good things said about the location here on Booking, and I can only fully agree with that. The hotel itself, though not necessarily luxury, fulfills any needs you might have as a traveler.

I didn't really have any complaints about the hotel, it served every need I might have when staying in a new city for a few days.
