Very new and clean hotel, looks fantastic. It's great overall and most of the complaints are minor

The smoke detector is terrible, very bright and was flashing during the night like crazy. Staff refused to do anything about it, so I had to climb onto the sliding chair and cover it with plastic bags and tape. Oh, and did I mention it was right under the ceiling which is like 2ft taller than they usually are. I had to legitimately jump every time I wanted to attach tape. It was terrible, messed up my sleep for the 1st out of 3 nights. Also, most (not all) of the staff I encountered was not very friendly to say the least. Not great but I expected that

The hotel is very clean, with beautiful rooms. The staff were very helpful even though we stayed over July 4th! The rooms are comfortable and of a good size.

It is a new hotel and most of the hotel's information about services are on the internet which we found difficult to access. Our telephone did not connect us to reception because I think we were supposed to use the digital barcode to obtain access and we couldn't do that. So I am sure there were facilities which we would have used if we had more information such as the menus for breakfast and an evening meal, as breakfast was not included.

I came here because I had day surgery the next day at Yale-New Haven hospital, two blocks from this hotel. The staff was accommodating, the room was absolutely spotless and comfortable (yes, I always check for bedbugs) and the value for what I paid was awesome.

There is evening entertainment next to the hotel’s bar and because I was on the second floor, just above this area, I could hear the music in my room. While I was able to use my noise-cancelling earbuds to drown out the sound, I recommend to others they ask for a room above the second floor if they want quiet.

For New Haven which has high hotel prices, the Cambria is nicely priced with many of the amenities we look for in a hotel. Staff has always been accommodating. Hotel is new, and room is clean and inviting.

The restaurant is understaffed so that it takes time to place an order during peak breakfast hours. The wait staff - usually one persons - does her best and is always pleasant, but she is clearly overwhelmed. Many times we have had to leave the property to have breakfast. (And no restaurants or bakery options are available in the immediate area.)

The hotel is clean, posh, and welcoming. The location is in the heart of downtown New Haven. The room was comfortable and well air-conditioned (there was a heat wave during my visit). There is a small greenspace and the parking structure is immediately next to the hotel. The hotel also communicated effectively with me before my arrival.

There are several add-ons fees that aren't listed on the booking.com site. For example, I had my dog, which was a $100 flat fee (much more than most other hotels). The parking is also $24/day, which the hotel says is a discounted rate but the garage lists 24 hours at $20. If I had know about these additional costs, I may have reconsidered my choice.

Nearly everything! Cleanliness, staff, location..superb..parking rate per day was a little pricey. However, I understand parking in metro areas is limited, so rates are usually hiked. Overall, the Cambria offered everything I love in a hotel and I will definitely stay at this location again and again 😀

Parking rate per day..as mentioned earlier, the daily rate of $24 was a bit more than I expected to pay. I do understand though about limited street parking. Also, parking was secured so that is to be taken into consideration of the price. No complaint though. I will just be more prepared thr next time!

They have a multi storey car park on the premises, $26/night. The room.was comfortable and had a sofa & a safety box.

This is a new hotel which is well designed and tastefully decorated. The only thing we could fault was a door handle missing in the bathroom. I did get too many emails about our stay. We used Uber to get into town which isn't far away. For some reason they folded the pillows into squares - ? Couldn't work out why

it was convenient to the places I needed/wanted to get to, the room was clean, modern and the space was used to its best advantage.

the paid parking. for $250/night I'd expect at LEAST a discounted rate (the standard 12 hour+ parking rate was $20 - the hotel charged $24/per day - where's the discount???) the option is to take your chances and park on the street in an "eh" neighborhood. Speaking of the neighborhood: it's adjacent to a hospital so LOTS of sirens 24 hours...

It was clean

Upon arrival a gentleman Named Anthony was extremely impersonal. I was not aware you had to fetch your own bell-Cart. He did not help and he saw me lugging 3 suitcases. However Matthew was amazing that night when I voice my concerns. Destinee also was helpful she made sure my room got cleaned. Unfortunately i dont think I would stay Again the Security is super questionable, My makeup artist came right to my door no one flagged her. My phone did not work in my room and I expressed that. No one came to fix. I Never stay at a 3 star hotel…. And Although the property was clean and nice…. Its Not for me!
