Location and breakfast were excellent. Breakfast well prepared. Service consistently excellent. Lobby and public rooms were comfortable, inviting and decorated in lovely understated way. Size of the room was comfortable. Service was excellent - we had to ask to have a refrigerator put in because I needed a medicine chilled. We also had an extra lamp brought in because the room was so dark with only table and floor lamps. Architecture on the cheap because no recessed lighting built in.

The bathroom had no place to put toiletries being used - just a sink standing alone. The decor of the room was sterile - one picture, white walls, black lamps. We had to ask to have a refrigerator put in because I needed a medicine chilled. We also had an extra lamp brought in because the room was dark with only bedside and one floor lamp. Architecture seemed to be on the cheap because no recessed lighting is built in. The safe did not work. Engineer tried to fix it but was unable to. The service to accommodate these needs were helpful and gracious.

Exceptional cleanliness and above average hospitality! Greeted frequently, door held open upon entering/exiting on several occasions, and the jar of Gingersnap cookies are a sweet touch for guests. Housekeeping staff are visible and their attentiveness to room expectations for guests is superior to past stays at various locations. Workout room is pleasant with bottled water available for patrons. Room size is comfortable with a relaxing armchair/ottoman, a detailed desk, and an inviting bathroom. Highly, highly recommend!

Network connection can vary If not using hotel WiFi.

This is a great location if you have things to do at and around Yale. It's a short, pleasant walk to campus and you pass shops, restaurants, and landmarks on the way; but you're also convenient to downtown if you want to explore New Haven a bit. My room had a gorgeous view and huge windows, as well as a small transom-type window that opened; I love it when hotels have windows that you can open for fresh air. The room also had a big desk as well as a comfy chair to sit and read.

If you sleep better in dark rooms, bring an eye mask. The room has tons of light pollution - two phones with light panels, a bright clock display, and a BLINKING smoke detector light.

Comfortable bed with great pillows. Loved the C.O. Bigelow products in the shower. AC worked well on a humid day. Very nice lobby.Very large room.

No mini fridge in the room, which is crazy for how expensive this hotel is. There didn't seem to be an ice machine (admittedly I didn't look super hard). Price was very high and room was nice but didn't seem worth the cost.

The staff was excellent -- very helpful in everything we needed, including securing Yale Rep tix for us, etc. And we greatly enjoyed the room, the lobby (Love a nice lobby), the Heirloom bar, etc.

Staff were cheerful and helpful. Location is perfect for Yale campus activities. Room, lobby, and restaurant were comfortable yet upscale. Young and old both looked to be working on laptops in the lobby area. Breakfast menu had plenty of choice and was delicious. Beds were comfortable. Allowed late checkout, and kept our car with luggage in it until we left around 5. We happily valeted the car…not sure parking the car would have been an option in this area of town.

We love the location which is close to Yale and the Art Museum which is a must see in New Haven. And the STUDYing atmosphere is impressive and it’s very artist too in the lobby. The staff are all friendly in particular Erin who help us find a lost stuff after we leave and she is just amazing and helpful. Thanks again Erin.

Classy, stylish boutique hotel in the heart of downtown New Haven, close to center of Yale campus, shops and restaurants. Walkable to everything. Loved the design, decor and vibe. Room was spacious, light and well-appointed. Excellent beds with high-quality linens, roomy bathroom with walk-in shower. Morning coffee in the lobby was excellent (although there is no breakfast provided -- it's available to purchase via room service or at the restaurant in the lobby). Free copies of the New York Times. Valet parking is available with in and out privileges for $32/day.

At this price point, it would have been nice to have had some breakfast selections provided with the complimentary coffee — at least some pastries or something. Also, parking is pricey--we would have preferred to be without a car, but we drove out to New Haven and needed to be here a couple nights before my daughter could move into a campus apartment, so we had to use the valet parking. But it's convenient, and you can come and go.

Very central to visit Yale, it is right next to the University centre. Lots of local places to eat. Room was fine for the 4 of us for a night or 2.

Only minor comments - Top floor bar and restaurant closed very early. Ground floor bar was closed because of the refurbishment. But there are plenty of places to go to in town. Valet parking is $30-$35 but we knew this from other comments.
