The hotel was amazing. Great location for getting around. It was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in Europe, so much choice.

I asked when booking for a quiet room. Unfortunately the room I was given had terrible double glazing, which needs sorting. After a long day travelling I only managed to get three hours sleep There was a night club close by which kept me awake all night, not to mention people shouting I realise we arrived in the middle of a festival (which I didn’t know about) but the night club had nothing to do with that We asked to be moved but the hotel was full and I was offered some ear plugs The noise went on for most of our stay To get a 100% review sort out the double glazing, lots of people complain about it

The location is excellent and there are many restaurants and bars very close by with a good choice of cuisine. Museums are within walkable distances. The room was clean and well serviced. Breakfast had a wide choice of food, but as I am gluten-free, many of the delicious looking options were taboo for me. However, the staff were extremely accommodating and provided me with gluten-free bread (very tasty), chocolate and lemon cake, and biscuits - all gluten-free. I thought that was very good customer service.

It is not easy to achieve total 'blackout ' in the room if light disturbs you. The phone kept flashing 3 lights throughout the night, the aircon switch is bright blue and literally lights up the room, and the TV pilot light illuminates too. Other than that, the bed and pillows were comfortable.

I love Alicante, and this is close to the seafront and the main road leading up to the market, so location was great. You’re right on the ‘mushroom’ street, so loads of restaurants there. The room had reasonable facilities and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had. A lot of variety, particularly of fresh food.

Location is good, but there are a few guys nearby in the square who sit and drink all day, which might be a little unsettling for some people, especially later in the evening. I didn’t like the room at all. It was one of the cheaper rooms, so had a small window with frosted glass facing into the inside area of the building. If I’d had a longer stay, I wouldn’t have wanted to carry on there. I was aware that another guest must’ve had the same issue and was moved. It was a shame, because everything else was great. Another time, I would go to the normal hotel I choose, to avoid a room like that.

Fantastic location steps away from the C6 airport bus, the sea front and is located in one of the main busy restaurant areas. Friendly staff, both at our 02.30 am check in - Receptionist still bright and perky! and on check out the following morning. We could leave the luggage after check out for as long as we wanted. Breakfast was a large buffet style served in lovely, cool, immaculately clean L-shaped room and was all fresh, freshly prepared and tasty. The only downside, for us, and which would have been a problem had we stayed for longer than the one night, was that when I opened the curtains following our few hours of sleep, I was astonished to find the patio doors were opaque and when I opened them they opened only onto a tiny light-well which was running through the centre of the building. On looking up I could see other rooms facing into the light well but of course, they did not have doors, only windows. If we had been staying longer I suppose we could have moved the single chair in the room (for two people!) onto the terrace to see a bit of sky and light but I would have been dreadfully disappointed with this arrangement had we been staying longer. The bathroom was modern and furnished with extra little complimentary items but like the rest of the room, was decorated in dark browns and so the spaces are somber and dark. Saying that, if we were looking again for a single nights accommodation we wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

Perfect location, friendly staff, comfortable bed. The breakfast lady kept track of my friend who needed gluten free bread and offered it the moment we arrived each morning which was very nice :)

There was a weird “old building smell” which kept coming back. The central AC had an even worse smell coming out of it (as if it wasn’t cleaned for a long time), we had to keep that turned off. We managed by keeping the window open a lot. The breakfast always looked good, but in parts were impractical: nuts over the fruit, crackers on top of the cheese - difficult with dietary restrictions (gluten, nut allergies).

This was our third stay at Hotel BH San Francisco Alicante, and it continues to impress us! We stayed for five nights this time, and once again, the experience was delightful. What sets this hotel apart is how personal and welcoming it feels. Unlike larger, more impersonal hotels, the atmosphere here is warm and inviting. The staff is absolutely lovely—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Alicante. It’s situated on a charming pedestrian street filled with restaurants, cafes, and shops, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Whether you’re heading out for a meal, shopping, or just strolling through the vibrant streets, everything is right at your doorstep. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. It’s very good, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. Whether you’re in the mood for something light or a hearty meal to start your day, the selection is impressive and consistently fresh. Overall, Hotel BH San Francisco Alicante remains one of our favorite places to stay. The combination of great service, a central location, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious breakfasts keeps us coming back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Alicante! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a great location - so central you could pop back to the hotel during the day. It was April so not very busy and the double windows blocked out any noise from the street. We arrived a few hours early expecting to drop off our luggage but were told the room was ready for us. The staff were very friendly and the hotel offered so much, arranging tours, parking, packed lunches - the list was lengthy.

As a vegetarian I needed to know what breakfast items contained meat as most items weren’t labelled, I was told things were vegetarian that weren’t. But there were plenty of other options - but it just meant I wasted food cutting it open to then discard it.

I have stayed in this hotel several times before. The central location in the old part of town remains very good. Also the fact that several restaurants are located nearby, the short walking distance from the bus stop to the airport, the even shorter distance to the underground tram station to Benidorm and to other places on the coast. The excellent breakfast buffet is a great asset. However, the difference in rooms is big. Not because of the comfort or the room interior, but the rooms at the front (street side) are recommended. Other rooms on the inside are very dark and not so pleasant. This time I had a single room at the front side on the first floor (I think room no. 102). Room and bathroom were excellent and suitable for one person. Since my last visit, almost the entire staff had changed. Remarkable. But everyone very friendly and helpful. The Algerian restaurant on the mezzanine serves very tasty dishes.

The hotel is located right in the city centre, a couple of minutes walking from the beach. Evrything was clean and tidy, the staff was very friendly and outgoing. The breakfast was also nice as there were some tapas which tasted great, with variety of sweet and savory dishes

As the hotel is in near vicinity of a disco club so you need to calculate with dance music sounds through Friday and Saturday night until 7:30 in the morning. It wasn't pleasant but we calculated with such possibility as the hotel is in the centre of the city. In case you would like something quiet you should book a hotel outside of city centre
