Breakfast was incredible - such a beautiful view, excellent staff, and the food was really delicious. The views of the lake were amazing and access to the bus line was so easy! The free bus pass will take you all the way into Interlachen or just a few minutes to Thun in the other direction.

It was impossible to sleep in the room with the summer heat - there was a summer heat wave, but the room seemed to retain heat even after the rain and it was really unbearable - it felt like we were unable to cool the room even with the balcony door open all night. The room decor and bathroom is a bit dated and parking was a challenge at times (with the restaurant guests also using the parking), but everyone is really nice and the location is wonderful.

Lovely hotel in a great location for exploring Lake Thun and the surrounding area. Just a short walk down the hill to the lake. Can't praise the staff highly enough, lovely friendly people with great customer service, particularly Teresa. We had a village facing room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable with a very large bathroom! My daughter had a lake facing room that had amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was limited but adequate.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room and no fridge.

The hotel has a great location a beautiful terrace. We have been to the restaurant a number of times in the past and this time spent the weekend there. I do not think one can find many faults with the location, just gorgeous. It is also uncomplicated to arrive by car, there is onsite parking. The restaurant is well situated and they have quite good food. People are friendly and the hotel/rooms are very clean.

We stayed in a junior suite, which essentially is a large space that does not really have much amenities. There is no kettle or coffee machine (they have a shared 'maxi bar' at one floor where you can get a coffee for 3CHF). The room is large but somehow it is just empty, and not a large liveable space which is a pity. Service personnel is friendly and try to be helpful, but for the price you could expect a bit more, i.e. making sure that dietary requirements are met (someone that has a Celiac disease and can not have wheat during the main course, is not suddenly going to get cured for the desert). But overall it was a good experience.

Amazing location by the lake Thun with scenic views of the majestic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Central to the arterial city road, good connection with the main city sights and a 5-10 minutes' walk to Lake Thun. Beautiful rooms and the restaurant offered an amazing selection of dishes. The blueberry and lemon ravioli was fabulous-like a bite of summer! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Massive thanks to the Schönbühl Hotel & Restaurant team for making my stay comfortable and lovely.

The room could benefit from its own tea/coffee supplies.

A number of rooms are in the annex which is behind the hotel with limited view. If you are unfit, get a taxi from station with your suitcases. Walk to hotel from bus stop about 700m and quite uphill.

The balcony rooms at this hotel are absolutely sublime. From the 2nd floor rooms, you have an unobstructed view of the Thunersee (Lake Thun), Hilterfingen (including the church's clock tower), and the mountains of the Berner Oberland on the far shore of the lake. It is breath-taking and so incredibly beautiful. The hotel itself is very well maintained and has an extremely helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant is elegant and gourmet for dinner.

The hotel is located in a town outside of, but nearby Thun. Since it is on a slope, you might not want to travel there by bus and walk up the slope to the hotel if you have more than a piece or two of luggage. We were going to take the bus, but then decided to opt for a taxi at the last minute. You are just a 20 minute walk and bus ride away from Thun and a 50 minute bus ride from Interlaken West. So, while some would find the location as a minus, we really like the small village and peaceful setting.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very large, same as bathroom. We had a fantastic view on the lake and a second side balcony with the view on the village. Breakfast was decent. We also had a nice dinner at hotel restaurant. Having only 2 floors, the hotel has an elevator. Also, they have a covered free parking for hotel guests and an electric charger for electric cars. We arrived with an electric car and it was so good to get it charged by the hotel because the nearest electric charger was far away.

Wi-Fi signal in the room was poor to none. It was only available on the balcony or at reception, Maybe it was due to poor weather and heavy rain.

We had a bit of a problem with the restaurant the first day there when we had lunch while waiting for the room to be ready. The wrong soup was delivered to my husband, we had to ask for napkins, and we never did receive the bruschetta we ordered. We were lodged in the annex and the Wi-Fi was not working for much of the day. They had to contact an IT person to fix it and it finally was fixed and worked well after that.

convenient location, near the bus station and around 15 minutes by bus to thun town &railway station. The room has a very good view of the lake thun and room is very clean and big enough and the toilet and shower room is quite big too. The hotel is located in the living area , therefore , I can enjoy a piece of quiet . It is as good as it is introduced by the webside. Have a dinner at the restaurant of the hotel is a good experience, the food is very good.

Breakfast was fantastic. Setting was very nice - rural/suburban with a great view of the lake. Lake, beach, and dock is about a 2 block downhill walk. Nice restaurant at the hotel, a few other small restaurants and grocery stores not too far away. Drive into Thun was also quick and easy - like 5 minutes.

A little ways out of town/Thun, which we liked, but free bus pass with tourist discounts is available.
