We liked everything The beach ,the pools the food. Great stay ...

Maybe a ittle pricey ... We were on half board and most of the food had a small surcharge, which was not a problem for us but I can imagine some people might feel annoyed at having to pay extra ..

Very friendly staff, stunning location, quiet and relaxing.

I booked half board but only few meals were included. Everything else had to be paid extra. Given the fact that room prices are already very high, the extra costs are not justified. You would need to be more transparent.

We had our honeymoon stay here. We were looking for a quiet place with wonderful beach views, a beautiful room with a thatched roof, delicious cuisine, not buffet style. La Maison d’Eté fulfilled all our wishes! In this small paradise we felt like we were staying in a home rather than just a resort. We agreed we made the right choice for this once in a lifetime holiday.

Lovely boutique hotel (about 16 rooms) with a relaxed atmosphere and very peaceful. Beach is beautiful and there are snorkels, kayaks, paddleboards free to use. They also have bicycles that you can borrow to explore outside the hotel. The food offering was also fairly varied and top quality - the themed evenings/small touches in the rooms were also a great touch.

For a five star hotel, we found the staff service a little hit and miss. There were some great friendly staff, but also some that we despaired dealing with. Our transfer didn't arrive to pick us up from the airport and this was really poorly managed by front of house. The serving staff in the restaurant could be a bit slow at times/miss requests and that did frustrate. We also struggled to organise external activities (fishing trip, massage, etc) through the staff, although my recommendation on this and the transfer issue would be to just hire a car and then you would be less dependent on the staff service.

The hotel was beautifully designed, classy with a laid back vibe. The staff were all attentive and friendly, they made special efforts to make sure we was fully comfortable. The food was nice and plenty of it, the desserts were exceptional. There was plenty to do of an evening with the common area full of games and a pool table. Unfortunately we were unable to fully make use of all facilities due to the Cyclone, but even in difficult times the staff strived to make our stay pleasant.

The common area was not air conditioned, it got very hot and uncomfortable in there.

Charming old world hotel with modern facilities in a quiet out of the mainstream location but on a safe lagoon. The staff were, without exception, very friendly and always pleased to be of service. The menu selection was excellent and the standard of cuisine, high.

Nothing to criticise. Many Americans would be unhappy with no aircon in the dining room but it's designed to let the prevailing winds blow through which is great after a couple of days to acclimatise to the low 30ies temperature. Bed rooms are air-conditioned if you want it. Would be nice to have a small air-conditioned gym.

The overall hotel is just great, just recently refurbished and with an incredible attention to decoration details. The rooms are very large, comfortable an clean and basically we could see the ocean from bed. Food also great. The location is very quiet amd I got the impression that altghough it is a bit remote, it is in a upper residential areas (the road passing in the back of the hotel was veey clean, all the neighbourghoud villas seemed very nice).

No major issues - sometimes the staff forgot our requests (like car rental, taxi, boat inquiries) until we followed-up - all were solved in the end if we reverted. Please note the beach has some corals/ stones/ seaweed and it is not very wide. The sunloungers are distributed on terraced levels a little bit above the beach - for us not a problem at all, but mentioned it here as relevant info.

it’s very calm place, you can barely hear the sound of cars or any machines! and the place is very faraway from any places so you feel like you are deattached from everything. it was very relaxing, the staff( specifically Fabrice) and the a mazing chef ( Gopee shailendra ) made our stay unforgettable! there’s a nice guy (Bayan-hope I spelled it correctly) helped us in snorkeling and kayaking for free! and also taught me how to swim

the room has no phone only panic button, it would be easier if they could have a phone! the menu is very limited, it would be better if they have more options for breakfast and dinner! when we asked for water at our room they said we should pay , so don’t forget to bring your water bottles from any supermarket!

I have travelled a lot over the last decade, but this hotel was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had. The staff were the nicest people I have ever met and went above and beyond to look after me during my solo trip. At check in, I was welcomed with a complimentary drink and short head massage, which was lovely after a long flight. My room had an incredible view and it was the most peaceful experience. The hotel is quite small, so it's exactly what you need if you're looking for a quiet, stunning getaway to switch off for a few days. The food from my full board package was delicious and very fresh.

People are at heart of everything @ La Maison d'Ete, warm, friendly always happy to help! Perfect location for proper getaways reset with calming sound of Indian ocean waves and birds singing while you relax around many different areas of the hotel: sandy beach, 2 well maintained swimming pools. The room was compact with everything you may need, a comfortable bed, a good-sized bathroom, and general facilities. Food was tasty with some authentic Mauritians gems on the menu.

Defo one to call out is breakfast. It's too long to take as for kitchen service, and also, one massive no-no for us was to charge guests for a cappuccino or different coffee than French press. Never have I been in a situation where I would be asked to pay for your breakfast cuppa in a 5 star hotel. Othen then that we had absolutely no complaints.
