We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding in Clifton but also visiting my family located in Street, so this was a great halfway option. Most importantly for us was the need to have an accessible room for my elderly mother and me as well as an adjoining room for my partner as he needed to be close by in case mum fell. The original rooms I had booked were not actually suitable as the hotel rooms are located on different levels. However the hotel contacted me straight away to advise that we moved to different rooms located on the ground floor with disabled access to both the room and the restaurant/bar facilities. This room also had an additional benefit of a sofa bed for me so I didn't have to share the bed with my mum (although it was huge!) and an adjoining room which was perfect for us. The room itself was a great size and the bathroom completely accessible as described. It had everything we needed in it for the 2 night stay. We also used the restaurant and bar and it was excellent. The hotel is lovely in a very beautiful location, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly at all times and we could not fault anything.

Breakfast was good, however I don’t like cooked breakfast in the morning - so had museli. It would have been nice to have some pastries or bread available on the table.

My table wasn’t ready on arrival for dinner, which leant a problem. However I think then got forgotten about. I waiting another 30 mins to be seating. Food as good, but they had run out of burger buns and the service could have been quicker

Room was clean, comfortable and had all the necessary facilities. Shower pressure was very good and room was generally dark once the lights were off (no excessive external light nor too many internal safety or night lights). Location was great for Wells, Glastonbury and Cheddar. Staff were welcoming and good spirited.

Food was great and no complaints but did expect it too be exceptional from other reviews.

Dinner is incredible , cooked breakfast is nothing special, could be improved upon for sure. Can’t say enough about the staff especially the evening team, the lady running the morning didn’t seem the happiest but the rest of the team were super helpful friendly and great customer service

Perfect, not overwhelmed in choices (a good thing) but each course and option was of good quality. I had a relatively early start but staff were very accommodating and really looked after me. Noticeable in the evening that the staff all appeared to get on and work well with each other. They were all very efficient, understood their roles but mucked in for each other and this all makes for a very good atmosphere for guests.

For my brief stay I couldn't fault them on anything.

The breakfast, restaurant and room were all exceptional, but the highlight for me and my partner were the fantastic staff and how accommodating and friendly the team were, you really felt welcomed and looked after. A big shout out to George for taking us to Wells and back in his car for a dinner reservation and to Olly for being so friendly and making our stay fantastic. We can’t wait to return, thank you so much to all the very hardworking team at The Litton!

Wifi - a bit slow in the rooms but actually it’s nice to be offline in such a beautiful, relaxing place.

The village location was perfect , quietness and peace , great layout of surrounding gardens and leisure seating areas . Restaurant great food choices , great drinks . Room was nice size with great in room facilities . The staff were great , polite and helpful . Food was first class and local .

Possibly need some lighting in the Lower carpark for disabled spaces. Pitch black when returning late at night.

Property was marvellous, room disappointed only because of the fridge being lit up and too bright at night , disturbing our sleep also no heating

The staff were warm and welcoming and the room was beautifully presented. A clearly popular pub as the food is amazing, make sure you get a table booked as it gets surprisingly busy! The room we stayed in was clean with lovely touches like robes and slippers available. A huge bonus was the room was also very peaceful, did not hear any noise from the pub downstairs. Breakfast was also impressive with a large menu of cooked food to choose from along with continental options and coffees.
