The hotel was at perfect location just walking distance from most of the attractions. It was clean, served delicious breakfast. Rom size was perfect.

It would have been better if there was a wardrobe in the room.

The location is perfect and easy to get to from the airport. The bus stop is 100 meters away. It is central to the main part of Bergen that you want to visit. Walking is easy everywhere. The breakfast was full of options from cold to hot choices. And it began at 7 am which I like as I’m an early riser. Very nice and helpful staff all of whom spoke English. I did love the overhead big window letting in natural light. The bathroom floor is heated making it a nice feeling to walk on to.

The room was smaller than I expected as I would have liked a chair or table and floor space for a suitcase wasn’t enough.

Excellent location, very central and within walking distance of everywhere. We got a taxi from the airport but the tram is within walking distance . We did change to a larger room as our initial room had a glass ceiling which would have been lovely except there was was a roof light shining in which for me would make it too hard to sleep, but changing rooms was no problem and the staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was very good plenty choice , the carrot cake was so tasty. You also get 15% discount on the restaurants if you are a resident in the hotel we ate in Villa Blanca and Sapas , both were nice but we enjoyed Villa Blanca the most .

Our room looked out on a busy street with restaurants and bars so it was a little loud on Friday and Saturday night , it wasn’t a problem for us but maybe some quests would find that difficult, for the central location it’s expected.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay, it was very central and a short walk from the train station. The rooms were very comfortable and brightly decorated - the bathroom floor was warm and appeared to have underfloor heating, very nice. We checked in and Elizabeth was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We enquired about restaurants to enjoy some Norwegian food and Elizabeth recommended Byggeloftet & Stuene, which is located along the harbour area -thank you, the food and atmosphere was fantastic. Breakfast at the hotel was really good with a good choice of hot grilled food, together with a continental style selection, teas, coffee and juices. All in all a great stay at the Magic Hotel.

Friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Exceptional central location. Uniquely designed room with a glass ceiling. Free coffee/ tea making station in lobby. Supermarket in the same building. Discounts offered for partner restaurants, shops and attractions.

Our 'small double room' was too small. Only hanging space for 4 hangers; we basically lived out of our suitcases which had to be kept stowed under the bed. Only a few centimetres between the bed and the wall.

We loved the location, the room's quietness, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, the enormous bathroom and the nearly enormous bedroom, and the huge variety at breakfast. Another plus was that the hotel is connected to a grocery store, so we went there for sodas and fresh fruit. Very nice unexpected plus!

The lighting. It was impossible to see well in the bedroom. The lack of electrical outlets and the ones there were were not in convenient places. No storage. A rack to hang clothes on but no chests or drawers or shelves in the bedroom. We were there 4 nights, so storage would have been nice. The heat in the room It was in the 60s outside but the windows don't open. There was a fan but it was not strong enough. Hard to sleep when one is too hot.

A couple of streets away from ‘Bryggen‘ and Fløibane - (funicular up to Fløyen). Situated on the edge of ‘old Bergen’ with cobbled streets and narrow alleyways. Nice bars, cafés and restaurants in the area. Restaurant Villa Blanca is connected to the hotel - shares same main entrance to the hotel - doubles as breakfast room. ‘Såpas’ around to the rear is a Gastrobar also connected to the hotel. On presentation of your room key you get 15% discount on food at both places. 10-15 minute walk from railway station. ‘ Bybane’ - light railway/ tramlink a few minutes walk from the hotel which takes you to the airport - around 42 minutes.

Really nice central hotel, with a really lovely reception area (and a nice little communal tea and coffee making station- photo attached to this review), beautiful breakfast room/restaurant and a really lovely selection of foods for breakfast. The outdoors area towards the back of the hotel was very peaceful and pretty (photo of that with this review, too). The hotel was also very conveniently right next to a nice budget supermarket :) Nice bathroom toiletries to take away, too!

The room itself was very on the small side, not really any space between the bed and the walls, and the bathroom door did not completely shut (it was one of those doors that swings shut and there isn't a complete seal between the wall and the door frame, if that makes sense). These things wouldn't have bothered me too much if I was staying on my own, but it was a bit cramped for two people (and the bathroom door not fully shutting is never fun). No kettle/teabags in the hotel room, but this was offset by the communal tea and coffee station in the lobby.

The location is absolutely perfect just right in the city centre plus walking distance to the light train going to the airport. Desk in the room, bed was confortable enough (more pillows for evening TV watching while sitting in the bed would be welcome though), nice staff and very good breakfast, supermarket nextdoor. I left for the airport early in the morning and the hotel was able to prepare a small take away breakfast pack for me.

Nothing major, the room size was limited so the space between the bed and the wall was not very big but good enough. There was one step up to the bathroom. There was no fridge in the room as well as no wardrobe which is obviously new hotel trend.
