The hotel staff are very friendly and happy. Nothing is too much trouble. From the room you request, if available. To heating food if you in a bind. The hotel is very quiet. We couldn't hear any of the neighbours. We have stayed here a few times, both ground floor and upstairs, for this very reason, although we do prefer upstairs. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and dark when curtains are closed on an evening, which is a bonus. A small shop and a Greg's on site too. The hotel has a small bar, packed up breakfast (not a cooked), and handmade pizza.

The only things were but no biggy. I wasn't aware of the parking fee £5.00 per night when parking was free the week before. But in the grand scheme of things, it was £20 on top of what we had already paid through booking.com. Also, the microwave that was downstairs the day we arrived... had been taken away the night after. But no matter the girl on the front desk was so obliging and heated my dinner for me.

1. Super-comfy firm mattreee and pillows - just the perfect combination! 2. Quiet at night - you could hear a pin drop. 3. Large room 4. Ample parking. 5. Good having a Greg's next door that opened at 6am - perfect for a breakfast when I had to be at work before 7am. 6. A nice large bath with piping-hot water.

I requested a downstairs room but got an upstairs room, which meant lumping my tools up to the room. 2. Pity I had to drive in the westbound on the A50 for a few miles to double-back on the A6 towards Derby in order to get back eastbound on the A50 to my worksite at Sawley.

We stayed for a graduation. Just needed somewhere to bed down for the night. Excellent price, just over £40 for double room. It was basic but clean and has most of the stuff you need. Room faced away from the road and was quiet. Small licenced bar as part of reception with a few chairs to sit at.

Although there were a few things I could list, you have to consider the exceptional value of the place. 1. Overheard a customer at reception stating his van had been broken into two days running. He was after camera footage. So maybe some concerns about crime and security. 2. Bedside lights didn't have individual control, so both had to be on. It's not good if one of you wants to sleep and the other read. And the lights were very bright. 3. No easy chairs or table despite there being room. There was a desk/vanity unit with a dining room style chair. 4. Bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit lumpy.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a wardrobe, sitting area, double bed with good mattress and pillows. The bathroom had all the toiletries and towels. There was also a kettle with good selection of tee and coffee. Big window to get some fresh air and radiator to warn us up during the cold night. Check in process was smooth, so was the check out. The reception team were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet so we had a good rest 😴

Poor breakfast, pre-packed carbs and long-life milk is all you get. No fresh food such as bacon, eggs or yogurt.

The parking was free, a service garage for essentials next door and the staff could supply you with a cold beer plus a simple food offering if you are travelling and not too fussy. We had taken our own food ready to eat cold but there was a microwave for our use. FANTASTIC. With a simple bar facility what else did you need for a stop over? Towels and bedding were super. Clearly the staff cleaning work hard on the rooms. A little maintenance scratches to be sorted hear and there. BUT the reception ladies were unbelievable. The night receptionist (student studying) was so happy to help and very receptive regarding smoking in the corridor. She had a routine to perform for H & S which she leapt to immediately. I felt very safe with her around. Thank you to her. Recycling should be more clear.

Nothing really. Rubbish outside with bins very full but I am not sure who should clear them. Again rubbish was clearly full of recycling. What is this country coming too!!!! We do it at home - or we should - so what happens to folk when away? No specific recycling efforts on the whole site.

Great value and a good location for our visit to Trent Bridge for the test match. Friendly staff and having a shop and Greggs on site was excellent to buy our lunch and a paper. Cold breakfast was adequate, cornflakes, milk, apple juice, flapjack and a pain au chocolat. Orange juice as an alternative to apple would have been nice.

No air con and rooms were absolutely stifling. There was a fan in one of our 2 rooms and another was eventually provided for the second one. Probably not so much of a problem a lot of the time but as the weather was very hot while we were there it was a definite negative as althoughthe fans helped it was still far too hot in the rooms.

Lovely lady at reception gave me a great welcome. Their was a pleasant aroma was the first thing I noticed comeing through the main entrance doors! 😍👍 Their were plenty of refreshments in my room tea / coffee milk & suger... I booked on line last minute the same day as arrival and to my suprise it was Super cheep 😁👌 oh it had 3 USB charging ports which was Very handy for charging my phone so well thought out thank you 😁👍💞📱and on top of all that a nice T. V. To watch and relax too... What more could you want 😊😊😊 plenty of towels aswell. And nice soap dispenser at sink and in bathroom area. It's a 10 out of 10 for me. Would definately stay here again.

The bath was clean but their were strange marks like scratch marks only a few looked like rusty colour as if someone had scrubbed with the wrong sponge? Just made it look a bit unsightly... But other than that couldn't fault it. Maybe could have provided a small bottle of water?

Initially booking the room, 40 quid!, Yes please, I'll have some that! However, I wasn't expecting too much for my money. Prior to our arrival, I received a message via Booking.com to advise that the access to accommodation was compromised, by a roadworks road closure. This was remedied by being escorted through the road closure by one of the roadworks team, perfect! Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the lady on reception, whom incidentally was also serving a reasonable size party of guests at the bar. Checked in, straight up to the room, dumped our gear & straight to bed, it was 23.00 by this time, we'd had a long day! Have to mention the car park too, free parking! Whilst it appeared to be quite busy, there was still plenty of room to park, which was quite handy, as we were in a reasonably big van. The room itself, well what can say? If you book a room for 40 quid a night & are expecting 5 Star Luxury, then this is not the room for you! But if you do book a room for 40 quid a night to find that it was clean, tidy, functional, with a decent bed, bathroom & a kettle, then this is the perfect room you & it was certainly perfect for us. I can't comment about the breakfast, because we left a bit lively in the morning & didn't take it. Even if it wasn't a 5 Star Gourmet Breakfast, I'm sure it would've been absolutely fine. To be honest, for the price of the room I was expecting breakfast to be extra. I have absolutely no problem in recommending this accommodation & I will certainly book again when we are next visiting Donington Park.

It was 40 quid for the night, what's not to like??!! :-)

Staye there many times, its convenient and cost effective.

Sneaky way that they now charge carpark at £5 /day although no charge if you book direct, so that means no more using Booking.com Also £5 more per stay for my dog who still sleeps on the floor not the bed, it now £20 per stay, i think they hav priced themselves out of our market.

The staff were very lovely and welcoming upon arrival and check-out. The parking was very spacious and clean. The process of checking-in/out was swift and easy. Access to the welcome break store was very easy, you don't have to leave the building in order to access that which was very nice. The accommodation was very clean! We had a pleasant night's sleep and the bed was very soft and the shower was very consistent with heating

The toilet required pumping in order to get it to flush properly. The room isn't equipped with an Aircon or fan so it became quite stuffy and had a lack of air circulation so we had to leave the window open overnight. Aside from this, this would have been a solid 10/10 stay. Overall, we are willing to revisit this place as it's location is perfect and we liked everything else!
