The location can't be beat. The motel is right on the beach, and the back lawn includes firepits, games, a beach volleyball court and plenty of chairs where guests can sit and enjoy the beach and the sunset. The beds were comfortable and the front desk staff was cheerful and friendly.

The furniture in the room, other than the bed, is extremely old and dated and there was mildew in the bathroom. The walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors. Fortunately, we had a corner room on the second floor, so noise was not a huge problem for us.

We come here several times a year we love everything about this place. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by cheerful Roxy and Anthony who always has a sweet smile on his face and quick to accommodate every request. We never get tired of walking on the Bluff watching the beautiful ocean and meeting happy people and dogs:)

The carpet hallway outside the rooms is worn out and never gets cleaned. The desks’s chairs are worn and ripped. The outlets are very old and do not hold hair dryers plugs.

Our check in with Roxi was wonderful. She was so informative and helpful explaining all the amenities available that guests from Sands by the Sea could enjoy. Due to cold winds we did not go in the pool or hot tub, nor the fire pits, but could see what a beautiful place it was. Our room was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We felt it was a real find and would stay again. The next day we went for breakfast at the restaurant (Roxy suggested) and we loved it!

Excellent location and the room was well appointed.

I can’t blame the facility or the staff for this issue, but the upstairs guest let their kids run wild and were jumping around like they were having a dance party. Very aggravating after spending a day on the road and just wanting to relax and get some sleep. The bed was a little on the stiff side, but bearable. The ice machine is a walk across the parking lot to get to.

We stay here often and notice the improvements in cleaning. The location can't be beat, sleeping to the sound of crashing waves and all of the great amenities including fire pits, pools, outdoor checkers & chess, volleyball and fantastic ocean facing seating. This trip they generously gifted each room with champagne, plastic flutes, horns, beads and hats to celebrate the New Year.

Drawers in the room don't stay shut and I do wish the toilet was taller.

Exceeded expectations - we loved having access to the connected resort's facilities like the bonfires at night, pool and hot tub, and ocean views! Bed was super comfy.

While checking out, they attempted to charge me fully for the stay; they couldn't seem to find my payment through booking and they had to get their manager involved - once the manager realized what I'd been saying all along, that I already fully paid and looked in the right place, I was able to leave 15 minutes later.

This is one of my absolute favorite places I come here often I will always come back the value is great you always get the best bang for your buck the food is amazing I tell all of my family and friends about it and have had several of them vacation there with me my most recent trip I took a newlywed couple they absolutely loved it.

Honestly I loved everything about the hotel my only bad experience was with one guest who was a bit rude but the property is so big I was able to quickly avoid her

All the space in the back by the beach we sure enjoyed it. Fire pits. it was close to the castle. The food in the restaurant was delicious. I had the salmon. My compliments to the chef.

I stayed in room 240 to much traffic. Windows were really dirty. But I would like to go again maybe stay in the back building with the ocean view.

The status of our room was alittle bizarre. Granted it was warm...but why would you allow a room to be at 80 degrees when you check in knowing there is no ac in the room and would take hours....all night...to cool off? our room with windows open and fan never got lower than 75 for our stay. no bath mat in bathroom, and although nice to have machines in the shower, if one is broken...why wouldn't you replace or reinstall?

the temp of our room...and the nonchalant attitude of the girl at the desk...who and I quote "I don't know anything about how the thermostats work"

The staff at the reception were accommodating and check-in process was smooth. The location was near to restaurants, convenienve stores, and walking distance to the beach. There is also a coin laundry by the hotel itself. Parking space is a bit tight but it is not an issue as we got to park right infront of our room during the duration of our stay.

Noise can be heard from the room upstairs and beside ours. Free breakfast is limited to only baked breads and coffee/orange juice so if you prefer a proper breakfast you can go to Cavalier restaurant with good options and use the free breakfast voucher for discount.
