The location was ideal for my weekend stay. I was in town to visit the Keukenhof (decided to stay in Leiden instead of Amsterdam or Haarlem) and this hotel was a short walk from the Leiden train and bus station - you can see the hotel when you walk out of the station. The hotel was also a short walk to the main sights of Leiden. The check in and check out processes were quick and efficient and staff very welcoming and professional. I found my room very comfortable - room was a good size and had plenty of space and had the amenities I was looking for. I would definitely stay here again. I did not have the breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that.

The location was convenient (extremely close to Leiden Centraal). Rooms were modern. Storage area in the room is sufficient. Lighting was good. Quiet hotel. Comfortable bed, comforter, pillows. I had to study in the room, the study table and lighting was good.

The fact that there was no minibar was strange, as even the cheapest motels have one. No toiletry bag or slippers provided (not even a plastic laundry bag). There was a problem with the heating in my room and I had to wait for technician for a day (it was Sunday) and no alternative was offered except for a blanket.

Location is great if you arrive by train: a 3 minute walk from the train and bus station, and still, the room was really quiet. The hotel reception is big, cosy and welcoming and there is a bar. There are many options for breakfast (like Jumbo supermarket, etc.) so we didn't take the buffet in the hotel. Many food options just around the corner and the historic centre is just a 5 minute walk. I appreciate the measures for more sustainability: you can adjust room temperature 3°C above or below 20°C, or else open a window or turn on ventilation instead. For safety, you can only take the elevator or use the stairs with a working key-card. Great rain shower, and it's fun that the wall of the bathroom is see-through, but there is also a dark curtain for more privacy. The mattress is very comfy and everything seemed new and clean.

The pillow is very soft so an extra pillow woudl be nice. I would also expect a tissue box and a bottle of water per person (we only got one bottle to share). Our key-card did not work on the staircase doors on our floor so we had to return to reception to take the elevator. I'm sure they would have been happy to fix it, but we only stayed one night so it was unnecessary. You could ask to make sure while checking. Best to lower the temperature before sleeping or turn on ventilation. I forgot and woke up because it was too hot. The price is quite high, but that seems the case for many hotels in Leiden, especially if you'd like the breakfast buffet.

Absolutely everything that mattered was first class.

The long “soulless” passageway leading to the rooms. It can do with some artwork/photos. Leiden is pretty stunning and photos to entice a traveler to explore would help a lot. And a light throw or blanket for a quick nap after lengthy trip will be just what the travel doctor ordered. Rooms look out onto a very boring apartment complex. There is not even a tree or focal point to interest the viewer. Also, there is no climate enhancing system. Upon arrival our room seemed to be around 17/18 degrees Celsius, which on a cold day is not comforting. Our daughter’s room right next door felt more like 20 degrees C, which was a lot more pleasant.

Fantastic Hotel! Literally a 1 minute walk from Leiden's train station and a few minutes walking from the city centre. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. Early arrival was no issue, thanks to their convenient luggage storage. The hotel is recently renovated, and exceptionally clean. I'm a clean freak, and I was really impressed. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. All the hotel staff are polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

The location was amazing as it was right next to the train station and only a short walk into town. The room was big and clean. There was no issue with noise or light coming in at night. Staff were very nice and helpful. Our body wash bottle was empty on arrival, but we asked a housekeeping staff about this and was sorted out straight away with no issues. Even though we checked in at almost midnight and out at 4am, front desk staff were available immediately.

Shower water temperature oscillation which wasn't a big deal Shower design a bit strange - there is only a small barrier between shower and the rest of the bathroom so water splashes out into the bathroom and the floor becomes quite wet.

The hotel was a great experience overall. The room was spacious, spotless, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, making the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering a wide variety of food and beverages to suit different tastes. One of the best aspects was the location—perfect for exploring the area—while still being quiet and peaceful for a good rest. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, which added a personal touch to the stay. I’d definitely return without hesitation.

Overall design is excellent. Rooms are clean and very comfortable with a great shower and nice lighting. Staff are lovely.Breakfast (scrambled eggs and halal sausages) could be varied a little. And who has sweetcorn and mange toute for breakfast?

The only complaint that happened multiple times was the cleaning consistency - no replacement of cups, glasses, coffee facilities, water, bed not made up. This was resolved by firing the cleaning subcontractor. I hope when i return in a few weeks that this will be remedied.

Excellent location close to the train station. Walking into the heart of Leiden is easy and you come across some of the things to see along the way. Modern rooms with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Everything seemed pretty new to us. Friendly staff that worked quickly and with a smile. Would definitely book again!

There is a construction site on the other side of the street. Depending on the room you might get to hear it, but the isolation from the windows is pretty good, so it didn't bother us.

it was a perfect location as i was using bus and train while visiting, and the proximity to the central station was great. the staff was very helpful (i left my key in the room once and there was no hassle to reissue one). i only had the breakfast one day and it was excellent - a real plus if you are looking for that kind of thing.

there was some occasional construction noise from nearby projects - but not really disruptive at night.
