Mr Kim and his family are the best hosts you can imagine, Trang An Lamia is in the middle of Ninh Binh nature, albeit a bit far from the center, you can rent a scooter for more than reasonable prices and explore around! The facilities are amazing and incorporate nature. From swimminpool to the different type of bungalows. Great fresh food from their menu daily available for lunch and dinner, a filled fridge to use for some night relaxation etc. I would stay here a day longer than you intitially planned, you will regret leaving earlier! Thanks again Mr Kim and family for the best stay we had in our time in Vietnam.

That we didnt stay longer than we did!

it is a beautiful area and very well kept, showers, bathrooms and rooms are clean, the staff are 10/10 and so attentive, they even let us check in early as we arrived in morning from night bus, with no extra charge! there is a laundry service, the restaurant food was also good and the Vietnamese coffee is 10/10.

the pool wasn’t useable during our stay and the property is a bit far out, although you can rent bikes from the property but as it is remote the roads are tricky to navigate after dark. if you’re back before dark it’s fine.

Our stay at Lamia was magical. The staff were all super friendly and even helped us plan out our days in Ninh Binh to try and see everything worth seeing. During our stay we had most of our meals at the hotel as they have a wonderful menu full of delicious veggie options. If you stay you need to try the coconut cappuccino! The location of Lamia is beautiful, right in the countryside surrounded by the limestone mountains. We felt so relaxed and peaceful there. The rooms are so wonderfully made, we stayed in a deluxe bungalow with mountain view and a paddle pool. Couldn’t recommend more, our favourite stay in Vietnam. We will be back!

Everything was amazing

My wife and I stayed here for four nights with the intention of cycling to the areas tourist attractions. Unfortunately, the weather hit 38c and access to to the sights involved cycling on a very unpleasant road, something like a motorway. There were scooters to rent, but without any experience I didn't think it was a good idea. The result was that we felt pretty isolated. Not such a bad thing! The guesthouse has lovely gardens and a pleasant swimming pool. The restaurant and bar are cute. The Deluxe bungalow with mountain view we booked was very pleasant and the little pool in-front of our room was lovely. The location is very rural and set in gorgeous karst hills - a highlight.

We had some delicious meals from the restaurant which was a little pricey, but not more so than other similar accomodation we stay in Vietnam. The breakfast was nothing special, if not a little mean considering the room price. There was nowhere to sit by the pool except for two rotting sunbeds and the general area was a little scruffy, They didn't clean the room in four days. I had to tell the staff twice to clear the empty glasses, plates and coffee cups. If you stay more than a couple of nights you're probably going to hear music and karaoke from the neighbours - which in Vietnam is inevitable. The noise was tolerable compared to some experiences.

The location is superb if you want to stay away from city rush and close to mountains... staff was helping, the property is close to nature and they have tried the best to give the feel of living close to nature which was nice. The breakfast was really good, for vegetarian like us there were decent options. We stayed in the yellow bunglow so the morning view from window was so fabulous.

It's more suitable for couples. But with kids it becomes little inconvenient. The AC was not cooling the room. We had to ask for extra fan. During Summer it's very humid. The access road is quite bad so if riding a bike you shoukd be very catious.

Unique family-style homestay in a beautiful location. The accommodation is rustic but suits it's natural environment. Beautiful pool situated next to limestone cliff to cool off. Host family were very friendly and gave great suggestions for what to do in the area.

Be aware that this location is 20 minutes from Ninh Binh town. It is perfect for those who just want to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There are scooters and bicycles for hire. You are limited to the food and drinks the host provides on the menu unless you are travelling to town. I found the food fresh and delicious with a range of options but it is on the higher price side.Breakfast was included in the price of accommodation. I only put this as a negative to make other travellers aware. I was very happy with my choice of accommodation and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys this style of travel

Trang An Lamia Bungalow Resort is beautifully nestled in the end of a small valley, surrounded by nature and rice paddies. There are just a few bungalows, all unique in their design and color, it is very picturesque ! Mr Kim, the owner, is always available to assist to plan for the daily excursions. The swimming pool, albeit not very big, is very pleasant after those long days of exploring around. Food at breakfast and dinner was very good - try the BBQ Chicken !

The mattress in our bungalow was a bit short - we had to change the bed directions to sleep comfortably.

The host and staff were really lovely and very friendly. Upon my arrival, I was given a warm welcome by the owner Keem (sorry if I've spelt that wrong) who gladly showed me a map of the area and all the local sites to plan out my days. This is in a nice tranquil location away from the centre but still close to all the local sites. On my last day I had an overnight train to catch in the evening, they let me stay and shower etc after check out time which I'm very grateful for. Overall you can't go wrong here, the staff will always be on hand to help if you need anything. Also Grab isn't available in the area so they will help with taxis if you need one. Scooters and bicyles are also available.

This wasn't an issue for me but worth being aware there can be some insects in the room which may bother some people. This can't really be helped though given the location

The scenic location is stunning and however not in town it is only a short taxi or scooter ride to many shops, restaurants, convenience stores etc.The beautiful natural environment surrounding the bungalows provides a very relaxing and peaceful experience. We ate dinner in the evenings at the restaurant which was delicious. The staff are wonderful and helped to organise a private car and driver to take our family to various local attractions. The pools is wonderful, cool and refreshing with a constant flow of fresh water running off the rocks.

We loved our stay but did notice there are few things requiring maintenance but this did not impact our experience and completely understand how difficult it has been over the past few years with a lack of tourists.

Our hosts Mr Kim and his wife and staff are all lovely, so kind and made our stay special. The cooks made the best meals we had in Ninh Binh. I loved the decor of the rooms and the gardens of the grounds overlooking the mountains. The hotel pets Boo and Flower are just the cutest welcome party members! We will return again in the future! I hope more people discover this wonderful bungalows surrounded by beautiful rice paddy and nature!

The bungalows have rustic charm so there may be mosquitoes and bugs but this is true of all hotels in Ninh Binh area. Hotel very kind to provide natural anti bug spray and mosquito netting in rooms!
