The staff was very friendly and helpful! the location is very close to St. Stephen Cathedral, you will be just 15 min away from most of the touristic attractions. The breakfast is included and delicious! I very recommend this hotel! we Loved it!

Don't take me wrong, I just want to express what we saw because pictures are kind off. The building is old and you can see it in some areas even when is restored, our room was small (and it's fine) but in the pictures don't look THAT small, the wooden floor cracked all the time! and we weren't sure if we were disturbing someone else with our walking in our room.

This hotel was excellent. The location is very convenient with main attractions such as St Stephen's Cathedral and restaurants and shops at walking distance.Train stations are close too. At the same time, the hotel is in a very quiet back street Staff was friendly and helpful. Upon request, they provided us with wine glasses and a bottle opne so we could enjoy delicious wine we got from a wine shop around the corner.Room could be a bit bigger but it was full of character. Breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay there! We would go back anytime!

The property was a very traditional Austrian building. Well situated for easy reaching the heart of Vienna. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There was air conditioning in each room which was greatly appreciated as the weather was wonderfully hot outside. The bed was large and supportive. There was a good choice of different hot and cold foods including pastries, yogurt and fruit. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again on my return.

There is nothing I can fault about this property. It is a well run three star hotel and met all of my expectations, no fancy frills but definitely value for money.

I booked this hotel with less than 36hrs notice following a significant change of plans, and it really exceeded my expectations. It's a lovely, charming hotel, tucked away on a quiet street in a busy, central area. The location really can't be beat for access to the main sites, all of which are in walking distance, and close to the metro for train/airport access. The staff were kind and welcoming, particularly once they saw my eras tour bracelets, and even had arranged for me to have an earlier check in. My single bed room was much nicer than I had expected, and finished to a high standard. The hotel is traditional/vintage style and very well maintained. It was truly much nicer with a better vibe than some four star hotels I have stayed in. I'd recommend it to friends.

The breakfast selection is Austrian style and a bit limited, but when in Vienna, and it did the job. As its an old building you do hear the pipes and noise from the neighbouring rooms occasionally. The wifi is Freewave, which is standard in Vienna, and also not very reliable, which is also standard with Freewave...

Staff on all shifts was friendly and helpful. Location excellent, especially for someone who likes walking about. Nearby restaurants, nearby Spar. Breakfast was delightful, though I was sad that the fruit salad came out too late for me!

two issues. I orginally booked the twin room because of traveling with my husband. He was prohibited from travel due to medical issues. The bed was quite comfortable, but too short for anyone above average height. I'm 5'3". My husband at 6'5" (almost two meters) would simply not have fit in the bed. I feel fairly certain that an arrangement could have been made, and perhaps I should have checked a photo of the room first, if available. The second issue, for those guests having to leave for an early train, it would be nice to offer some sort of small breakfast to go.

Conveniently located in the center of Vienna. Great service, staff were very helpful. Clean, courteous. Breakfast is 7–11, options for everyone (even if you are vegetarian). The room had an air conditioner which was a total surprise: generally in Europe very few hotels have that (especially those on the budget side).

- I’m a physically able person, but the entrance that has one step could use a ramp. It’s an easy add-on to install. - no fridge or tea kettle / coffee maker in the room. - no iron or iron board in the room BUT the staff will set up one for you at a few minutes notice if you want to iron yourself or can offer a service for a fee. - very high bathtub: I was fine, but older people or those with disabilities should be aware.

The convenience to everything. 3 minute walk to the subway at Swedenplatz, only a 5 minute walk from the airport bus Val2 and a 2 minute walk to St Stephens cathedral Staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and comfortable. We really liked that there was history behind this hotel dating from WWII so don't expect an ultra modern hotel

We missed not having tea / coffee facilities in the room however you can make tea in the reception area from 1pm - 9pm and sit and enjoy it beside the fire

The Kärtner Hof is in the best location. Three walking minutes from the Stephans Dom. I have been staying at the Kärntner Hof before and loved it so much that I came back. Staff at the reception was very helpful. In the hot weather, I especially appreciated the air conditioning. Room service was outstanding! The Dachterrasse was a nice place to unwind after a day full of exploring Wien.

The hotel is visually gorgeous. We appreciated all of the decorative touches in the hotel, it is very attractive and our room felt very special. It was great to have a second bedroom for the children. The location is brilliant - a quiet street in the centre of Vienna. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed breakfast every day. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our suite had beautiful parquetry flooring but it was incredibly noisy to walk on. We didn't have access to the AC for our first couple of nights and when it was turned on, it was very noisy. We had read reviews about the poor water pressure and difficulty adjusting the temperature of the shower. We did experience this a little, but we got used to it and for us it was not a huge issue. Breakfast room is delightful but small and at times crowded. It is a simple breakfast but certainly all that you would need, everything was enjoyable. Rooms would benefit from having a coffee/tea making facility and a bar fridge.

Exceptionally nice staff. Great location. Very quiet little cul-de-sac with a few really close restaurants, maybe 3-4 minutes from much more vibrant street scenes and the U4 subway. Easy walking to St Stephen's cathedral, its surrounding market zone, and another subway.

Inconsistent hot water and AC that cut out twice in six days. Staff fixed the AC quickly.
