Everything was super clean, staff was always nice and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing and rich! Special thanks to Petra, the girl from reception for wellness. She always welcomed us warmhearted and asked us how are we, helped with everything we asked for! Rooms are beautiful as the view from the room!

The thing for room card didn’t work well, we had to try multiple times so we can get in the room (no worries, wasn’t a big deal to us). I think you have a very small offer for lunch and dinner, but overall nice food. I know you have fit rooms, but maybe some kind of gym as addition would be great to have in the hotel

Room was really comfortable, and very nicely fitted out. Location to the lake was great, and nice seating area out front. Bed comfortable, air0conditioning was average but much appreciated still with outside temperatures of 32. Breakfast was delicious, very fresh and good quality ingredients with a lot of options.

Two hour time slot at the spa and needing to reserve was annoying and felt unnecessary when one day I went and it was totally empty. Wouldn't recommend the hotel restaurant at all, for the price the food was average (not that flavoursome) and service below average. For a nice meal out would rate Hotel Majerca over here, and for good quality casual food the Divja Jaga or Karakter Bar.

We had a truly enjoyable stay at Hotel Bohinj — a beautifully designed retreat in the heart of Bohinj, with a bus stop right in front and all the main attractions within walking distance or a short drive. The hotel’s wooden alpine architecture adds a warm and modern feel, perfectly reflecting the natural surroundings. Our room was tastefully decorated, with excellent sound insulation and a very comfortable bed. We appreciated the welcome drinks and Bohinj coffee — such a nice local touch. One of the highlights was the private hot tub in the room with an amazing mountain view — a perfect way to relax after a long day of hiking. The floating breakfast was another unforgettable experience. When we arrived at the spa area, everything was beautifully arranged. The pool was warm, the setting private, and the food fresh and plentiful. The entire spa area was peaceful, clean, and well-equipped — we had everything we needed for a relaxing morning. Breakfast in the main restaurant was also very good, with a nice variety of fresh juices, fruits, and bakery items. The staff were consistently polite, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We were grateful for the early check-in, but we did notice that the toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, tissue) were only partially stocked, and we had to request refills more than once. Additionally, during our 3-night stay, there was no regular housekeeping unless we specifically asked for it — something to be aware of, though not a major issue. Overall, Hotel Bohinj truly stands out for its prime location, beautiful design, and peaceful atmosphere. With a few small improvements — particularly in room preparation and climate comfort — it could be outstanding. We highly recommend it and would happily return.

A small detail: we found a cigarette remnant in the pool water during our floating breakfast — a rare oversight, but worth noting. Also, while the nightly outdoor fire adds ambiance for many, it was a bit difficult for us due to asthma and allergies. And with daytime temperatures reaching 27°C, we felt that having air conditioning would make the stay much more comfortable.

Location, very calm, not busy, yet you have lake view in the 'front-yard'. Staff was very polite. Food was good. Hotel is so well designed, that you will be pleased no matter which type of style you like. Atmosphere is cozy and nice. Lots of vegan options. Amazinf deserts.

We had very strong and unpleasent smell from sewerage system / toilet. And since doors on toilet aren't hermetically closable, you can feel the smell in the room. Its ok when you close the toilet but you can still smell it a tiny bit. One light suggestion. When we arrived the temperature of the room was very cold. I guess its some sort of standard, but its under 18 degrees C. And its like 7-10 degrees colder than in the hall or mutual areas. The staff was emvery helpful and they fixed the issue, but a suggestion still stands that rooms shouldn't be that cold, especially if tourists are coming from 30+ degrees locations, which many do. But as I noted just a suggestion, we were pleased with the fix.

We had a memorable two-night stay at Hotel Bohinj during our 10-day trip through the beautiful country of Slovenia. Based on glowing reviews, we booked mountain-facing rooms with balconies, but upon arrival, we were offered an upgrade to their signature accommodation, Vila Muhr. We were fortunate to take advantage of this upgrade at a nominal price compared to the villa’s usual rate, which also included the benefit of a late checkout, perfect for our evening flight. The villa was exceptional, offering luxurious comfort and a host of amenities. Vila Muhr offers a unique sense of privacy and exclusivity, perfect for a truly premium stay. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and the in-house sauna added a special touch to our experience. The hotel’s central location in Bohinj made everything easily accessible, and we even had the pleasure of witnessing the local cultural event "Salute to Triglav" right next to the hotel grounds..an unexpected and delightful highlight. We would especially like to thank Simon, who assisted us throughout the check-in and check-out process with warmth and professionalism, making our stay even more seamless. As frequent travellers, we absolutely see ourselves returning to this property in the near future!

While we initially faced some issues with the breakfast arrangements, the management responded promptly and professionally, addressing our concerns and providing appropriate compensation, which we truly appreciated.

A very beautiful modern interior with natural materials, friendly staff, a few hundred meters away from the gorgeous lake Bohinj. Rooms not facing the lake still have a nice mountain view. Great soundproofing, didn’t hear a single person outside our room. Restaurant is nice with lots of local food options and the nearby fine dining restaurant Vila Muhr is bespoke. Absolutely amazing spa with a mountain view whirlpool (booking required). Lots of options for hiking around the lake or nearby waterfalls and gorges. Airport transfer is easy to arrange.

The hotel was beautiful and set in amazing surroundings with views out towards the lake and mountains. The breakfast was delicious and having access to the spa each day was such a treat! We also particularly enjoyed having dinner at the hotel where the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We couldn’t have asked for a better hotel to stay at!

The air con in the rooms took a little while to get going - we had to keep it on all day with the curtains closed to keep the room cool. But not a problem at all when we did this.

Was great stay and great property, spa is very nice and breakfast is amazing.

The staff couldn’t arrange for me to stay in the same room for two nights, even though I said I was fine with moving to a lower-category room so another guest could be upgraded instead — just to avoid switching rooms. They still couldn’t accommodate this. I’ve stayed 250+ nights in hotels, and this has never happened to me before. In the first room, the AC barely worked and the room was uncomfortably hot. The second room was better, but the AC still needs an upgrade.

A charming hotel in a lovely location, just a short walk from the lake. The garden is beautiful and well-maintained, and every evening they light a cozy bonfire. The room is spacious, and there’s a small, pleasant spa with a little jacuzzi pool.

The breakfast is basic, served buffet-style, with no à la carte options as commonly offered in hotels nowadays. There’s no turndown service in the evening. The hotel feels more like a stylish, family-friendly travel lodge than a true luxury hotel, even though it’s priced like one.

Modern and stylish hotel in a nice town of Bohinj just next to the lake. Rooms are well equipped, lots of wood and comfy giant bed. Decent restaurant within the hotel and small, but nice spa. Reception is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Great value for money!

- Not many healthy options for breakfast, lots of processed meat and lacking vegetables and porridge - I had a massage in the last day of our stay, and the massage lady wasn’t really healthy. She was coughing during massage. Not sure how much it is related, but I got sick shortly after that. I wish I stopped massage and left
