The hotel was convenient for the railway station and for the local buses to places around Lake Bohinj. The room was spacious and had seats outside on the balcony. A good breakfast was served in the morning, and we had a good evening meal in the restaurant.

The room did not have air conditioning so was rather warm even with the window open all night.

VERY friendly staff, spacious room with balcony, good beds and excellent shower. The latter was a godsend in the local heatwave we experienced. The on-site restaurant has a wide range of choices, from strictly vegan to hardcore carnivore, so don’t think the ‘pizzeria’ sign indicates that that is all they do. Loads of local ingredients and dishes, all served in portions large enough to satisfy even the most serious eater. Ample choice at breakfast buffet, with local produce as well. Logistically well equipped, with large private parking and shops, banks, key regional bus stops plus the train station all just a few hundred meters away.

Not an issue for us: no A/C in the room. Nights in this mountainous area are cool enough to open doors/windows and let some fresh air in!

We were upgraded to mini-apartments, which meant we had more space and and comfort. The staff were friendly , and the hotel had a lively atmosphere in the evening. The pizzas were very good.

A larger range of hot food at breakfast. It was a shame that the hotel bar closed at 10pm. which meant we had to go out.

We booked this hotel for two nights to visit Bohinj and to celebrate New Year's Eve, and it was a great choice! We had a very nice and pleasant stay, the staff was very kind and friendly and they answered all our questions. The rooms are great looking, very clean and well equipped. We had breakfast included, and it was exceptional, and also the restaurant is superb, so we ended up having lunch there every day. The location turned out to be great as well, since the main party for New Year's Eve was right across the hotel (where the aquapark is), so we didn't have to use the car. The hotel also has nice private parking. All in all, this is a great small hotel with great restaurant and location and we will definitely be staying here again when we return to Bohinj, which we loved so much.

Quiet location. Ideal for trekking and travelling to Lake Bohinj and Lake Bled.

Our shower gel was running low from the time we arrived. After spending 5 nights there it had run out. It was never refilled by cleaning staff who were in on a daily basis.

Bohinjska Bistrica is a beautiful peaceful place, close to the Bohinj Lake (great bike trail), hotel is clean, cosy, restaurant is great, I liked the size of the family room, beds were comfortable. Enjoyed my stay in Slovenia.

Place is amazing with magic view on mountains. Lovely staff and food in restaurant one of best in my life. I will back again Really recommend

A fairly small old school hotel. I got a much larger room than booked which was nice, with a balcony. The attached restaurant was very good. Breakfast was standard fare, not bad. Smooth check in and checkout.

The location of the hotel is excellent with picturesque mountain views from the balcony. The hotel manager was very welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and I recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Bohinj.

Location to Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. Free car park. Charming older hotel, but very clean with modern amenities. Best breakfast we had during our stay in Slovenia and Croatia.
