I rarely give 10, but this is a 10. This is a hotel right on Lake Bohinj. RIGHT there. I mean, there is nothing closer to the lake (at least not on this side). This is a great staff. By great I mean professional in every way and very helpful. This is simply a divine view from the balcony. This is a very, very unusual format of rooms (we probably got rooms in the new wing where instead of a hall there is glass with a view of the pool). It's literally everything you need in one place. Including the opportunity to drink wine at night. These are simply mind-blowing dinners - very varied and each time sweet and surprising in its own way. This is free parking and paid parking if you are too lazy to go around the hotel. It's REALLY 5 minutes to the ski lift to Vogel. The grocery supermarket around the corner. This is a very quiet, incredibly cozy and kind place.

There are no cons at all. Perhaps, if you try really hard, they will be, as in any place, but I assure you - behind the advantages that exist - they will simply not be visible.

The staff were fantastic . Particularly Matiya on reception. Great sense of humour, furthermore was very welcoming when we arrived and very helpful with deciding what we we were going to be doing, particularly as we had torrential rain on a two days. Also Slavic in the restaurant. She was very hospitable and wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our meals. Advised on the menu, which we needed as my wife is gluten intolerant.

The breakfasts. We had breakfast about 9 in the morning but found the cooked breakfasts looked dried and very unappetising. Other 4 star hotels we have stayed, have constantly refreshed the cooked breakfasts. My wife, who is gluten intolerant, had very limited options.

- location by the lake, walks, restaurants, bars, supermarket etc. - staff were helpful and friendly - everything was clean and comfortable - facilities, nice to have a swimming pool, the restaurant was good

Nothing major but some small points that probably mean this isn't a four star hotel compared to most other hotels: - no kettle/tea/coffee in the room - food for breakfast was a bit hit and miss..all edible just a bit over cooked (eggs in particular) and the fruit wasn't as fresh as could be. - had to pay extra for the sauna which seemed odd

Excellent location, very comfortable beds & room. The pool was great to swim in, breakfast was good, staff were very helpful with assisting with onward travel arrangements. Central location with shops and restaurants very nearby.

No air conditioning ( we stayed in very hot weather - 30+ degrees) & the nights were a little uncomfortable. Our room was on ground floor & did sleep with door open, we had a small balcony & grounds appeared very secure. One of the windows has a fly screen so that can be left open, and for most of the summer I would imagine that is sufficient for a comfortable temperature.

Location fabulous, virtually on the lake front. We could walk to everything at Bohinj but of course needed the car to go further afield. Breakfast options great, lots of variety for all tastes. We had the €25 per person all you could eat and drink option for dinner and it was great value considering the variety of options and lots of green vegetables and salad, often lacking in European restaurants.

The room, while spacious, could do with a little freshening up but that’s a very minor issue.

The hotel exceeded our expectations! The rooms were spacious, with a nice big balcony. The location is absolutely amazing right next to the lake. There is a busy road but we were on the top floor so it didn't bother us, and it was quiet when we closed the door and window. The temperature inside the room was fine too, we had stayed in other hotels that were very hot without Aircon but had no such problem with our rooms. We enjoyed the coffee at the restaurant outside, and the dinner and breakfast was tasty with lots of options. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Nothing really

The balcony overlooking the lake was exceptional. The room was big and the bed was huge and super comfortable. The staff were really friendly and even went out of their way to get my last fix of Bled Cake the night before leaving! Free use of pool and the sauna cost an extra €20 each - it was beautiful though! 3 different saunas to choose from and was very quiet and private We had also had the buffet dinner which was reasonable at €25 considering it had all drinks included

A bit dated style wise but doesn’t really matter. Also no kettle in the room!

Loved our room with views onto lake Bohinj with balcony and comfortable chairs for sitting, relaxing, having lunch with amazing views. Terrific for nature walks.

Got the half board, and to be honest, we don’t like buffets for obvious reasons. The first night’s offering were mediocre at best. Night two much better with good lettuce (watercress) so I could make a “chef” salad. Fried chicken was delightful surprise. Tour groups are noisy and like locusts at buffet.

Excellent accommodation, delicious breakfasts and dinners as well. The staff was extremely kind, especially in the reception they helped us with the parking and everything. Hotel is nicely situated close to the lake and also to the shopping center and it's also a good place to start your tracks to the mountains. We were really happy with our choice and we can recommend it. If the weather is not good enough, you can use a nice swimming pool or fitness.

Only weather sometimes

The hotel is located 50 metres from the bridge where most people take the scenic photos. Only 6-8 kilometres from the Mt Vogel cable car as well. The hotel is well equipped with a gym and swimming pool. Each night there was also a buffet meal option including drinks for only 25 euro each and was a good alternative to eating out. Great value for being so close to the lake.

I cannot recall any air-conditioning but all we had to do was open windows.
