The room was clean and comfortably furnished. Every appliance worked. The bathroom was well finished and the toiletries and towels provided were of good quality. The room was warm and airy, with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The full length mirrored wardrobe was especially appreciated. There was a ceiling mounted fan, and a portable fan, but, unfortunately, the weather wasn't hot enough to need them! I had two meals in the restaurant during my stay, and both of them were exceptional, both in quality and taste. The service was excellent and very quick.

John, our host could not have been more accommodating. This is not the Ritz, but as our group was made up of three hale and hearty chaps on a day trip to the Lancaster Bomber Heritage Centre, we didn't require anything fancy. The breakfast was superb. Thanks, John. Spot on, old boy.

The pubs in the village don't serve food on Tuesdays.... Luckily, there's a decent 'eat-in' chippy.

Room was very clean, comfortable, friendly staff

Around midnight there was a lot of noise from other guests. Not the owners fault Separate toilet which I knew when booking however toilet door, walls etc need cleaning, only a bar or old looking soap available, should be replaced with liquid soap such as carex, paper hand towels would also be beneficial due to the separate communal toilet.

Every time I have stayed, staff have been friendly and helpful, and rooms have been very good value for money.

During this stay, the weather was not great and the room was a little cold, as was the shower, for my, personal, preference. When I turned on the radiator, it didn't heat up at all. It was a minor issue but heat would have been nice.

Really friendly owners, very welcoming. The hotel itself was very easy to find, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. Bed was comfy and the room was very quaint and cosy!

The lamps on the bedside tables were a bit dusty, but the rest of the room was spotlessly clean elsewhere.

The room was very spacious, clean and comfotable with everything we needed for our stay. The area was quiet and close to local shops.

The bed was a little hard and maybe a little too much starched sheets. Only 3 towels for my wife and I.

I liked the room (I received a double but paid for a single) and it seemed nice and well equipped. I enjoyed the ease with which paying and checking In was made.

Rooms without ensuites are an annoyance but not to bigger an issue for such a reasonably priced room, and at least the shower and sink were included!

A lovely surprise next to the Lincolnshire Wolds. Excellent value for money hotel with a beautifully decorated Chinese restaurant serving an extensive menu downstairs. Looking forward to staying again.

Nothing to dislike. Suited our needs perfectly.

Easy to get to. Fairly quiet until the morning. Although the restaurant was shut the owner made me a meal and drink. Extra cost very reasonable.

Main road traffic noise early in morning. Only one channel on TV could be accessed. Furniture was a bit tired. Shower noisy and takes a while to warm up.

The whole team were as obliging as ever, but Gil-Ann, the proprietor, exceeded my expectations when she spontaneously offered me a free night when I go again. I had not expected this gesture. This was in response to my being obliged by circumstance to terminate the stay just past by one night. I also enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant.
