Superb stay at this bijou hotel close to Palma city. Portixol is ideal for strolling, nautical activities, swimming and delicious fish restaurants. The staff are all wonderful at Hotel Portixol, which elevated my wellbeing during my stay. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone knows your name. Breakfasts are exceptional including the stunning view onto the pool area. A nice touch is the local, national and international daily papers. The pool and terrace are relaxing and the loungers are comfortable. Spa facilities excellent. Hotel is popular with cyclists and nautical community alike. Hotel is good for peaceful nights after 10.30 pm and early starts from 0730 onwards.

There is some noise from early mornings onwards due to street cleaning, rubbish removal, deliveries etc however that may be only due to the alley bed room position i chose, and not audible on higher levels of the hotel.

We did decide to upgrade to a sea view room which was bigger than port view room and it also had a lovely terrace. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent with plenty of choice, nicely presented and high quality ingredients. Location was approx 25 minute walk into Palma old town but there was a choice of restaurants in the nearby vicinity. We used the hotel restaurant for lunch time and again, food was excellent - especially the tempura prawns! They did a set menu for 25Euro but we still full from breakfast!

Hotel was brilliant - clean, classy and with great staff. Pool lovely for chilling by during the day, food excellent and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Location was lovely and quiet. 10mins taxi ride from the main city, but dtill right on the seafront and close to a lovely promenade along the sea with restaurants and bars. Though there was a nice atmosphere and vibe it didn't feel too touristy. I would 100% go back to the hotel and the area

Nothing really I didn't like.

Loved the facilities. It was clean, beautiful, and well maintained. The room was very comfortable. Location was within a walkable/bikeable distance to city center, which allowed for a very quiet atmosphere. Also extremely close to old town. Very close to great restaurants. They offered a free welcome drink at the bar. My favorite touch was the hotel offered free bikes (have to download an app, but extremely easy to use) to take on the bike trails along the ocean.

This hotel was a great find. The staff were all wonderful and the food was excellent. Located a 30 minute walk from Palma old city, it provided the best of both worlds. We will definitely return.

It would have been good to have air conditioning. Visiting in April, we did experience warmer than expected temperatures and the air conditioning was not available at this time of year. We coped by leaving windows open at night.

If you're looking for a calmer getaway in the city of Palma, I highly recommend Portixol! Especially for adults; food (and drinks) -true magic! Staff is excellent and you will truly enjoy everything, the cozy and stylish ambience and the decor. Pool is very good and there's a small spa. Portixol will do their very best to make you feel at home!

To me, the beds are a little harsh. But that's usually the case w hotel beds so I don't really blame Portixol!

The quality of all elements of the hotel was beyond our expectations. We stayed in a small Mediterranean room and the size was actually very good and the view was lovely. The pool is not headed but even in early June it was more than warm enough. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. Whilst not cheap we have paid similar amounts for service that is nowhere near the levels provided by the staff at Portixol. The location is ideal as well, would love to return for another relaxing and enjoyable stay

The beds are not as comfortable as they might be, they are by no means uncomfortable but they could be improved

If you need a weekend sun break and don't want to spend all your time travelling, this is the perfect place to go. Rent a car at the airport, super quick (don't wait in the very long queue). Hotel is 10/15 mins from airport. Relax by the pool, go shopping in Palma. Park underground, very easy. Have dinner at the fab hotel restaurant. Also have dinner in Palma (you can also walk to Palma old town, good leg stretch). This hotel is not aimed at the 'all inclusive' crowd.

Maybe quicker service when sitting by the pool, but that is nit picking.

The room with a terrace overlooking the Marina was a real treat. Loved the little touches such as free mini bar and binoculars in the room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Having bikes for hotel guests was also very good and we cycled along the sea front and stopped off to snorkel in little coves. We also cycled by the bottom of Palma Airport runway.

- Let’s start with the arrival… the curb appeal of this place has you feeling like you made a great choice as soon as you pull up from the airport, which is only 10 min away! Then you’re greeted by their amazingly welcoming staff and get a free welcome drink card upon arrival - They have a welcome beach tote with flip flops and towels in the room - There is poolside service and all of their food is marked for allergens… expansive and delicious menu - Well stocked gym that opens up to a terrace. My husband and I worked out on the terrace and it was magical - Everything is sooo aesthetically pleasing. Awesome art, beautifully designed all throughout - The views from the room are breathtaking - The bed is comfortable, the shower is big and water pressure is awesome - All of the minibar items are free!! And they even have fresh fruit. They freshen up and replace all of the freebies in the room when cleaning it and clean it soooo well between sleeps. It was sparkling. - You can rent bikes for free - and there are lovely rides to take all along the water. We rode into town as well and the ride back was super quick and easy - They have chess and other board games available to play in the bar - There’s a great little restaurant on the same corner that serves food all day for when you want to mix it up - When we came home from a night out and the kitchen was closed, the man working the front desk literally made my husband a ham and cheese toasty and apparently it was delicious. That’s how nice everyone here is!!!!

my husband insisted I mention their iron and ironing board were hard to use 😂
