The floor in the room was very dirty. Very, very dirty. The room had no glasses so if you had to drink water, you had to cup your hands. There was a literal bus load of tourists lined up at breakfast at the cappuccino machine. It was impossible to get an espresso or a cup of coffee. It was like they were all fighting to get their espresso.

Clean hotel, good breakfast. efficient and polite restaurant staff.

Room would benefit from updating. Poor tv, no facilities to make own hot drinks I think putting room numbers on room keycards is a security risk especially if guest loses card

My mum and I absolutely adored Hotel Della Torre. First and foremost, all of the staff and service along with the food, were outstanding. The waitering staff in the restaurant were very pleasant whilst maintaining high standards. The Reception staff were accommodating and cheerful and the 'Pool Bar' service was a wonderful addition to our stay at the hotel, where we were warmly welcomed by Davide who apart from speaking perfect English, was very professional, attentive and friendly whilst running the bar. The scenery from our mountain view room on the 4th floor was stunning! All in all, our stay was fabulous and we would highly recommend the hotel.

The short walk up from the first Stresa boat stop from Isola Bella was paved and not difficult. Very Close to lovely promenade along the sea towards the main part of the town. Helpful kind young man at front desk arranged a taxi for transport to train station-- he had to call 3 people but persisted and it worked out flawlessly. Nice lady in the bar area served a tasty relaxing Aperol Spritz (10euros). Very pleasant view facing the local area/hill from top floor room. Wake up call and taxi reminder call was very appreciated.

FYI: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK TO THE TRAIN STATION, particularly WITH LUGGAGE, if you are a woman, etc.; Fortunately, I did a trial walk to the train station early in the evening prior to leaving on a 0720am train; There is no sidewalk or shoulder on the narrow road and a somewhat questionable person was ahead on the deserted road, that I was able to turn twice to avoid (is no reflection on hotel or location). It is much farther than appears on the map. Avoid problems-- the front desk will arrange a taxi on check in and it will be fine!

Good value, given the location - 5 mins or so walk to/train station 15-20 mins or so walk to the centre. Nice views from balcony taking in part of the lake & mountains. Excellent breakfast with wide variety of edibles & beverages. Amiable & helpful staff, nice swimming pool with loungers & towels supplied upon request.

Traffic noise can be slightly annoying if you want to sit on balconies or sleep with balcony doors open - but not much the hotel can do about this. Only other small gripe is hotel promotes a ‘green policy’ - however the bathroom notice, advising to leave towels on rail if you didn’t want them laundered or leave them on floor if you did, was not adhered to by cleaners as towels were changed daily - despite being left by us on towel rails.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and you can walk to the center, although it’s a bit of a walk. The facilities were excellent, we specially enjoyed the pool and the bar. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and really liked the elegant interior. The staff were kind and welcoming. Honestly we would love to stay one day more.

The price is a little high if we compare with five star hotels around.

This is a good hotel. Food is generous and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful I was unwell on our final day and they were most accommodating and allowed us extra time until I felt well enough to travel. They also offered to let us have the room for an extra night if we needed it. We really appreciate their kindness. The hotel is in a quiet area and a good walk from the centre of Stresa. But what a lovely walk it is along the very banks of the lake. And really only a short walk to one of the ferry stations for the islands.

The background music!! It became rather boring and we would have liked a little more variety - but that is just personal choice.

We opted for the evening meal in the restaurant at 35 euros per head. We felt it was poor value for money apart from the starter buffet. I opted for pike perch pasta but there was very little fish and the pasta was inedible as not cooked. The main we chose was chicken but just a leg with a bland gravy and no accompaniment at all.

The variety of food and drink at breakfast. The staff were all so nice, friendly, welcoming and professional. The room was adequate and clean. It had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the aircon was welcoming. It was nice to have a balcony, the views were so scenic.

Although the location was nice, we had assumed the walk to the town centre was slightly nearer than it was. Its a nice walk heading over, but after a long, hot day out, its a tiresome walk back up a slightly steep road. Not many shops/food places nearby. I couldn't 'pop' to the shop and buy water or nibbles etc. The first night we had dinner at the restaurant. The food was a variety, and what we chose was delicious. But, unfortunately there were a few flies round the buffet area which limited our choosing. Perhaps covering the food would be more hygienic? I avoided certain dishes due to this.

It was a charming hotel in a superb location.Our room was overlooking the lake with a spacious balcony.The dinner was of a very high standard and food alergies were excellently dealt with.All staff members were courteous and extremely helpful.Both my wife and I would be delighted to stay at the hotel again in the future.
